  • This tutorial demonstrates how I fitted a aftermarket Double Din, unbranded car stereo. It did take abit of planning as it never came with mounting brakets, was told by the seller I would have to buy them separately.

    Finally someone that shows you how it really is. There's a lot of work in a simple 12 minutes that others show

    Awsome video . The best finish for this would of been to purchase a stereo cage for the installation, an ISO adaptor cable and a fakra antenna adapter but im really impressed with how you fixed the unit to the dash 👌👌

    Good job! I have a unit the same size as yours. Mine doesn't fit the bracket 😆

    I bought one of those and I returned.
    Bad- not an “standard” doble din, captured every single noise in the world, annoying acceleration noise, with the Bluetooth function selected still you can hear some FM radio interference …
    Good - price, quality sound and easy to set up + phone mirroring
    I would like to clarify the radio was for 03 Honda Element with the humble integrated OEM amp , however I ended up installing a Pioneer DMH-100BT and it works fantastic, no complaints whatsoever !

    Hi mate , how did you manage to drill the holes and line everything up whilst holding the radio in at the same time ?

    Hi, I have already unit with frame but my question is, that is possible to disconnect fram along that crevis between these buttons and two vents. I cannot see from your movie but I want to keep that part for vents and fit it only frame around unit and these buttons above. thank you Robert

      Thank you for your comment, The head unit (double din) is a direct replacement of the original unit, vents and buttons are all still there, hope this helps.

    I like the idea with the foam. Also how did you get the ford logo to display?

    Wouldn't it have been easier to use the ISO plugs that are already on the car's wiring harness rather than adding new cables in the same places as the originals? The only cars that have a problem with ISO wiring in the past were Vauxhall, VAG & Mercedes cars where the 12 volt constant & 12 volt switched were in opposite positions on the after market harness.

    Hi There, Great Video, What is the sound quality like and do you have an ebay link>

    • @how2749
      @how2749  Год назад

      The sound quality isn't too bad, I originally bought it for the phone hands free and that worked great, as for a link, because it's ebay, sellers change or stop selling the product, just type in Double Din Car Stereo and loads of them show.
      Appreciate the comment.

    I would like to have seen you play a movie via the USB socket from a memory stick and connect Android Auto which I guess you cannot do unless the USB port is clear of aforementioned memory stick. Does the Bluetooth actually work ?

    • @how2749
      @how2749  11 месяцев назад

      Hi, appreciate your comment, the Bluetooth actually did work hence one the reasons why I bought it, as for the video side of things never tried it.

      @@how2749 Just that some reviewers claim it doesn't have Bluetooth, but has a kind of screen mirroring. Perhaps the specs have changed over the years.

    It is a TRAVESTY that in the 21st Century we still haven't got a global standard connector series for stupid car stereos, nor produce simple adaptor leads. It's back to basics once more with solder and tape.

  • @SY-ml5nl
    @SY-ml5nl Год назад

    IGNORE THIS VIDEO. the wires are already set for a straight plug in. This video shows all that soldering to literally plug in the same place anyway . IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE

      Thanks for your comment, not nice but its YOUR opinion, I will explain, the OEM harness doesn't have the rear camera wire's the aftermarket does hence why needed to be fitted.
