On the End of the Battery as you look at it there is a little round Orange plug. Is that not a Transit Plug that is supposed to be removed when you install the Battery?

This way the lights are always on when the ignition is on. They wont turn of with the door closed.

before installing the draws. look at every rail you see a long plastic rectangle on the back end of each rail you need to pull them towards you on the rail until it locks some are in position some are not they are the soft pull back mechanisms . when you move the chest with no wheels some disconnect and you have to repeat the process again.

How was the ride quality after the replacement? Was there any difference in ride height?

You don’t need to replace the light . The outer ring uses light from the inner ring via a plastic tube that refracts the light

Awsome video . The best finish for this would of been to purchase a stereo cage for the installation, an ISO adaptor cable and a fakra antenna adapter but im really impressed with how you fixed the unit to the dash 👌👌

Had to return the bottom chest 3 times due to the drawers failing. 2 of the chest’s bearing gave out. Cheap quality! Not worth the price. A better alternative is Pacini which are made in Italy

Hi, I have already unit with frame but my question is, that is possible to disconnect fram along that crevis between these buttons and two vents. I cannot see from your movie but I want to keep that part for vents and fit it only frame around unit and these buttons above. thank you Robert

Excellent tutorial - thanks for posting! 😊 Did it exactly as you outlined and successfully completed my battery exchange. - Agree that the fiddliest part is getting the ribbon connectors into place - you do need to take your time and exercise patience!

I would like to have seen you play a movie via the USB socket from a memory stick and connect Android Auto which I guess you cannot do unless the USB port is clear of aforementioned memory stick. Does the Bluetooth actually work ?

It is a TRAVESTY that in the 21st Century we still haven't got a global standard connector series for stupid car stereos, nor produce simple adaptor leads. It's back to basics once more with solder and tape.

Be very carefull where you get your battery from . I replaced mine with a cheap one from ebay and it ruined my dashcam. It was working up untill i plugged it in to my car charger and it blew my circuit board . I repair mobile phones and have a lot of experience in soldering and micro repairs.I can only assume it was a defective battery. I ended up buying a new dashcam.Dont buy the cheapest one as I did.

I bought one of those and I returned. Bad- not an “standard” doble din, captured every single noise in the world, annoying acceleration noise, with the Bluetooth function selected still you can hear some FM radio interference … Good - price, quality sound and easy to set up + phone mirroring I would like to clarify the radio was for 03 Honda Element with the humble integrated OEM amp , however I ended up installing a Pioneer DMH-100BT and it works fantastic, no complaints whatsoever !

Mine had the same issue after resetting it, it kept coming out and now it doesn't even click in as its only a small plastic tab that hold it in. Wouldn't recommend these boxes

How do I stop the dashcam turning on when dismantling

I would like to thanks for your usefull video. I struggled pulling the "tongue" of interior light unit. But 0:58, I know it was fixed by 2 screws.😂

The slow close units need resetting, take the drawer out and pull them forwards. The wonky runner drawer needed pulling out to full extent on the right hand side. Mine had the same issues.

Really good video for what is quite a buried battery. Only used mine a few months before the battery started playing up.

I’m order to fix the problem with the soft close drawers not working properly is take out the drawer and you will see that there’s a small sticking out piece of steel on the rails which catch the soft close mechanism and on mine I had same issue the problem was they were not sticking out Enugh so I folded a bit of paper and shoved it between the drawer and the rail at the verry back of drawer haven’t had issue since

I have similar issues with my box draws, one of the soft close mechanisms has now snapped off. I contacted Halfords who said return the item but as I have now moved countries that is not possible. They do not supply the spare parts that have broken so I am now stuck with it 😢
