What an epic performance by all. John never fails to disappoint and neither does his band. I think even better than the original, and the noise that was going on and everyone having an amazing time during long way to the top. All songs were great and performed brilliantly by all on stage. Great reaction, thanks for showing John so much love and support. You need to also check out the live version of “let me out”.
John been on stage since the 60’s when he won several king of pop awards here in Australia. He is also well known for a very old song of his called Sadie the cleaning lady, if you want a good laugh look it up. Sax goes so well with his voice
Legend of a man who easily surrounds himself with the best band members who have been with him a long time which easily is a testament to being a great human
Fantastic band, most have been with him forever. A long way from the time when he was trying to break away from the pop star image and on occasions had to stop mid song to count the accompanying band into the correct rhythm and beat of the song.
Two certain things about, John he loves performing and he always gives 💯 percent, I’m a 72 old Aussie who loves this man, as a performer and a great human being. When I’m down I play this man’s music and in no time I’m back up.I can’t explain how it works but it just makes me feel better 😘
Just, thank you, for all your reactions. Of course I love John, but watching you enjoy these performances, and your always kind, insightful, intelligent observations, it's just such a good time. I always look forward to your videos. ❤
Thank you for your great reaction. John Farnham is the most phenomenal performer and vocalist!👌👏🎶🎵♥ He is the GOAT! His band is superb too. 🎶🎵🎷🎸🎹👌👏When you add the amazing Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, it just can't be compared to anything else! Pure Perfection. ♥
Pure class. The thing I love about his voice is that his range is easy to listen to ...whereas some singers can get there but it starts to sound painful.
The bass harmony is Lindsay Field. In over 30 years, I have NEVER seen John Singing without Lindsay. He's playing acoustic guitar on the left hand side of the stage (from our point of view).
I've just discovered your channel and devoured your entire catalogue of Our Farnsey. You also got to meet Barnsey, who I'm sorry to report is currently in the ICU with pneumonia. Get well Jimmy! ❤❤❤ I love your taste in music - clearly a man of discernment. Beautifully done good Sir.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is John Farnham mate please enjoy. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing and listening to John now for 5 decades. Please mate also enjoy the rabbit hole that is Jimmy Barnes singing you won’t regret it. Thanks for reactions
What a treat, I love your reactions and I adore John and these songs! ❤😊 videos and studio recordings - Age of Reason is a beautiful song and video, I recommend that one. It was such a big deal when that video came out, I remember they showed the whole thing on Hey Hey It's Saturday. A lot of the TV appearances are the studio recordings with a live vocal. See the Banners Fall is a great one, there's a version from the Steve Vizard show on RUclips.
Not shy on stage, John Farnham is a show-off showman who shakes us up with his vocal gymnastics and shines, shines, shines and shines. Off-stage John is humble and does not seek attention. He does not watch any film of himself in performance.
Google will give you the names of all the backing singers and his band. They all have their own amazing musical pedigrees - if you haven't done so - look them up. Especially keyboard player David Hirschfelder😢. John had another keyboard player in later years, equally as versatile. UK. E❤.
Second and third videos, the two guitarists have their own band. Guitarist in the red shirt , Jack Jones is a phenomenal singer in his own right. Check out their band Southern Sons. Lead me to water or You were there.
I seriously cant understand where he gets all that energy and lung capacity ... Given he was also a heavy smoker ...but it didnt seem to affect either his voice or his energy
One of his band, jack jones, was asked to sing with him for his 50th birthday. He said no. Many years later he said it was something he regretted. People thought he was bashful, but he was actually terrified.
In the last song you paused to talk about his octave ability The guy paused on the screen in the striped vest playing the tiny cymbals is Lindsey Field the Bass backing vocalist you were praising earlier. He and the two women Lisa Edwards (Blonde) and Vanessa Field have been with him for most of his career. All the vocalists are solo performers in their own rights. Every concert is that level of energy for the full 2.5+ hours. There is no other act on, and often John is on stage even if the rest take a break. And yes, John is the most humble bloke! He cannot believe people like him. Even now, since the reaction vids found him in 2020, and especially these past 14 months, he cannot believe he's becoming world popular [FINALLY!] It has helped him beat cancer! 2022 he lost part of his face to oral cancer but he's beaten it and has been singing around the house! And we've been told to expect another album soon, most likely the one he was recording when cancer so rudely interrupted him! May I point out here, John is 74yo now! Now, if you want a studio recording to react to, "Black Dog" is the biz! Someone recorded him and the band doing it as a warm up! Of course in true Farnsey style he Blitzes it! on a last note, I have been very fortunate to have spent some fun times with him back in 1996 when he recorded and launched his "Romeo's Heart" album. He thinks of me and sings to me the song "Have a little Faith (in us)" because he was recording that when we met, and he nicknamed me "Red-in-Blue" Thank you for your reactions! CHOOKAS! 💙
Any other Aussies laughing their heads off when this guy said Farnsy's Lunga must be immaculate and deserve placement in a museum, or just me? 😂😂😂 That man smoked like a chimney since the age of 14, quitting several times over the years, but sadly going back each time when gifted vigars by a friend for Christmas and other reasons also, sadly. I just don't get how he could smoke so much and STILL sound like this! Can you even BEGIN to imagine how great he wpuldve sounded if he NEVER smoked? 🤯 As for the mic tricks. After his initial major success in late teens/early 20s... ppl took him as a bit of a joke and he couldn't get jobs..no1 wanted to hear or see him. So he would hop in the car doing gigs at small pubs where there might be only 2 or 3 ppl there sometimes, so to try and get ppls attention and actually LOOK his way, he started doing these tricks with the corded microphones...he was already good with tiding and working with horsesa and stuff and could handle a lasso ok, so he decided a microphone was a slightly different lasso/horse rope and he started flying that thing around and ppl started paying attention all right! So he honed all those tricks and added in stuff with the mic stand... so it was all born in those in between years "os the mic cords were so long you needed. To be a cowboy to handle the length of it and not get tripped in it all anyway, so he made it work for him!
I love your comments ❤❤❤ And, just so you know no true Farnsey fans want people reacting to his studio performances. They NEVER do justice to his voice & are always better LIVE
I and many others agree! I follow the reactions of Fil on “Wings of Pegasus” YT channel. He’s a big fan of John for the same reason and has recently been critical of the current artificial enhancements being made in recording studios everywhere.
I'm UK, never had the thrill of seeing any JF concert. But I watch these RUclips videos daily - he makes my day, every day. 3.12.23. UK. E❤
John has no ego you’re right. Just sheer talent .
Thankyou for such a good reaction vid. The look of joy on your face was truly wonderful ♥️
Absolute classic reaction….if John’s lungs don’t end up in a fancy museum ….I will riot😂love it. There is no doubt the vocals are killer

Well said...
Ditto. John's phenomenal music helps lift my spirits every day!💕🎶🎵
Me to!
this performance of log way to the top is quite possibly the most joyous performance of any song in history. just look at the conductors face

Seen John live. You leave his concerts feeling like the world is a better place just because he is in it.
Pure class. The thing I love about his voice is that his range is easy to listen to ...whereas some singers can get there but it starts to sound painful.
Ahhh that was lovely and also your comments about John as he sang were great. It finished too soon, so I’m going to watch it again 😊

Always kills it live. The band is also brilliant. You can't get better

John is phenomenal. He can do no wrong on stage.
The look on the conductor's face just kills me. One of the most entertaining pieces of footage I've ever seen.
Just a genius and a treasure!

Touch of Paradise you need one run through to listen to words and a second to just listen to the band. Magic eitherway🎉
Great reaction😊❤️🇦🇺👍🏼
Every performance is ready to release as a cd...or whatever they release these days.
Thank you for your reaction to Farnsey, so clever and so appreciative of his talent !

Jack Jones has a good voice. Its regrettable he didn't duet with John

❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love your comments ❤❤❤ And, just so you know no true Farnsey fans want people reacting to his studio performances. They NEVER do justice to his voice & are always better LIVE
But I love his albums! Of course he's phenomenal live but the albums are beautiful in a different way.

John is 10 times better live.
Pressure Down was written for John by U2.
It was written by Harry Bogdanovs.
Those guys are on stage with John Farnham, I think they're pretty nervous already.
You need to see the boyband E.Y.C. videos, for example "Number One" or "Black Book" they are the seed of boybands like Nsync or Backstreet Boys
He says orchestras cut down on his spontaneity a bit.
You should listen to Chain Reaction
John was a smoker for most of his life!
John smoke cigarettes heavily
Two good music videos are, trying to live my life without you, and talk of the town, also black dog is only audio.
