@Shon do you notice how a lot of Aussies call Farnsey “Our John😊” because he’s been a big part of our lives and we feel like John is part of the family. He’s an awesome human being. One we should all aspire to be like❤️🇦🇺
Great reaction and appreciation for our phenomenal Aussie legend, John Farnham. Thank you. Yes I agree, his voice is immaculate. ❤ You have 6 decades of John’s hit songs to catch up on now.
Love the react Shon, now your down the rabbit hole. Somethings wrong with my baby by John Farnham and Jimmy Barns is a must listen to. it will blow your mind
He puts 100% into every performance. Not only one of the best vocalists in the world but a brilliant musician. His arrangment of the song really takes it to another level.❤. For a great Harmonica Solo, have a listen to to him performing Chain Reaction from the Chain reaction concert.
John Farnham is to Australia as Freddie Mercury was to UK… he’s worshipped there from everything I’ve heard/seen about him (and I’ve watched a ton of his videos.) One of the last videos of him singing was in 2020, just prior to COVID, in FireFight Australia when he sang The Voice. He is in his 70s now.. and he was still able to hit all the notes!! John does this Beatles song proud, and I believe John Lennon (who wrote it) stated that this was his favorite cover. Thank-you for your enthusiasm… it’s contagious! PS - if you want to hear some songs with sax and great music.. check out some Doobie Bros tunes!
Have you heard the audio only of John singing "Black Dog", cover of Led Zepplin. He ony ever used it as a Mic. check not in concert but an audio engineer recorded it.
Our beautiful John Farnham is so adored here in Australia. I have been blessed to have seen him live many times over the years. Apart from his incredible talent John is the most wonderful, funny and humble man. I would love you to react to the studio version of When Something is Wrong with My Baby sung by John and Jimmy Barnes.
Contrary to popular belief from many people posting on reactor videos on YT, Help was NOT the last song of the concert that particular night. He came back out on stage after Help to sing another encore with Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top. His vocal endurance was out of this world that he could keep going after this song and finish the night with the incredibly high energy It's a Long Way to the Top.
yes. i believe Help was always second encore back then. after that he'd come out and give em Sadie finally, lol. but you can't go out on Sadie, you have to go out BIG on the last number of the last encore so Long Way sends everyone home pumped and wanting more. building a setlist is a craft, and John is very good at it.
Hear is another one for you . When something is wrong with my baby , a duet with Jimmy Barns . If you like the harmonica you have to listen to Cold Chisel , Bow river , the 2003 live version. Probably the best harmonica playing in the world and a rock masterpiece.
G'day from Australia. I was going to suggest you check out a particular song from Jimmy Barnes an Australian Legend and great mate of John Farnham but then you mentioned how much you love the harmonica and changed my mind. If you want to hear the best harmonica you have ever heard then you need to check out the band Cold Chisel singing Bow River live Ringside 2003. Jimmy Barnes is the front man for Cold Chisel but in this one Ian Moss is the lead singer and guitarist with Jimmy adding the hot sauce when he takes vocals.
If you want to see John Farnham go different from what you’ve seen watch him cover AC/DC’s Long Way to the top if you want to rock and roll from the MSO Concert. Brilliant pure rock performance. Also When the War is Over from his Last Time concert. Then match him up with fellow legend Jimmy Barnes singing Something is Wrong with my Baby for some real bluesy soul music at its best. Then check out Jimmy Barnes for a different kind of wow voice from Australia.
This entire concert was epic, every song is awesome and the energy is John and the band have is amazing. This is John’s arrangement of the Beatles hit help, but a lot slower. John always sounds so clear in his voice, such perfect diction which is very rare these days. John always puts everything in to everything he does. They don’t call him the voice for nothing. You need to check out more of John’s music, some of my favorites are playing to win, help, you’re the voice, chain reaction(live) is epic with like a 5 minute harmonica solo, in days to come, age of reason, it’s a long way to the top(AC/DC cover) which is one of the encores in this concert. I could keep going on forever, but even in his younger years solo and with “the little river band” he was awesome. But always try to watch the live version of anything he does, where possible, he’s amazing live, no tricks, no auto tune, just John.
Just goes to show what a lasting affect music has on our lives. If you appreciate audience participation, Pearl Jams song a better man live at MSG is a must! You have become my go to for reactions. Thanks for all your hard work!
Song by The Beatles, 60s era. Their recording was more uptempo. There is a vid on youtube of John singing the uptempo version. The fans (audience) at this concert must be the biggest choir ever in one place. Just phenomenal. E❤
If you like the sax, take a look at Never Tear Us Apart by INXS (filmed in Prague). If you are ok with an instrumental, try Lily Was Here by Candy Dulfer & Dave Stewart (ex. Eurythmics).
Some further suggestions from John Farnham 6 decades of Hit Songs for you to listen to (live performances if possible are best): Age of Reason; Pressure Down; That's Freedom; All Kinds of People; See the Banners Fall; In Days To Come; All Our Sons and Daughters; A touch of Paradise; Two Strong Hearts; Burn for You; No Ordinary World; When Something is Wrong with my Baby - with Jimmy Barnes; When the War is Over - with Jimmy Barnes; Angels - with Lisa Edwards; Grenada - with Anthony Warlow; Dare to Dream - with the late great Olivia Newton-John; Please Don't Ask Me - with Olivia Newton-John; Every things Alright - with Kate Ceberano & Jon Stevens; Every Time you Cry - with Human Nature; It's a Long Way To the Top - with Tom Jones @ Logie Awards Enjoy listening and viewing xo
You should go for it Shon, about learning sax or harmonica! I challenge you to learn it and come on here and show us what you've learned! All the power to ya! I'd love to see it!
One thing name is pronounced Farnum h is silent. 2nd this is a Beatles cover from 1965. Their version was more pop . Jerry Rafferty song Baker Steet for sax. Grand Funk Railroad Inside Looking Out Live 1969 version for harmonica.
In the Australian accent, which is lazy, the h and a is silent. This is not so in accents from other countries. The last syllable is phonetically pronounced as h-a-m = ham. This comes from the word, 'hamlet,' meaning 'a small village'.
Songs with sax - Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. And sax features in other Farnsey songs. By the way, John never had singing lessons - he was born with that voice. E❤
I really don’t think you need to make it this transparent. I’ve watched many reactions of John Help with the MSO and they don’t seem to get blocked.. Welcome to the greatest voice on the planet.😁
If you want some special saxophone listen to Springsteen’s Jungleland. Clarence Clemons is brilliant on that track. It’s a long one but I think you’ve done Stairway to Heaven so it’s ok.
You like the harp? Chain Reaction by John Farnham has got some good harmonica. By the way, Chain Reaction was written by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, for John Farnham.
Love your enthusiasm. If you want a live song from John with a harmonica, try "Chain Reaction" m.ruclips.net/video/xWGXmWB4tKQ/видео.html Just Google any live songs from John, and you'll strike gold. He also does a great version of "Who's Loving You" with the Human Nature. "Please Don't Ask Me" with Olivia Newton John. There are so many.
Great reaction. Another you might like is a duet John sings with the late Olivia Newton-John and the song is called "Please don't ask me"ruclips.net/video/2uV_tZODfK8/видео.html
I just stumbled across your channel. I would love to see you react to: Terence Trent D'Arby - Wishing Well Snow - Informer Apologies if you already have. If not...I would HIGHLY recommend
I love Snow's 'Informer' and really get a kick at seeing peoples reactions to his voice - like I also do with Rick Astley singing 'Never gonna give you up' or people seeing The Righteous Brothers singing 'You've lost that lovin feeling' live.
If you like the harmonica, you should ABSOLUTELY check out a song called Bow River by the Australian band called Cold Chisel. Make sure you check out a live version ruclips.net/video/TdVRNDnTKTU/видео.html
I love Farnsey, but if you like crowd participation, I think nothing beats Matt Nathanson's NY crowd singing AC/DC. ruclips.net/video/5hzaPRa76yQ/видео.html (yes, even better than Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody, because of how Matt jokingly gave them one riff)
For anothe Aus cover, waayy different, the best thing I've heard in years, and the most different, Kasey Chambers, live, covering Eminems Lose Yourself. An Australian country girl with a banjo? But wait.....8 minutes.....wow, just wow.
@Shon do you notice how a lot of Aussies call Farnsey “Our John😊” because he’s been a big part of our lives and we feel like John is part of the family. He’s an awesome human being. One we should all aspire to be like❤️🇦🇺
John was born with pipes, that are fire breathing.🔥

John Farnham - Burn for you (live) phenomenal vocal performance
And that is why John Farnham is a legend in Australia.

Thank you for reacting to the legendary John Farnham! This is my favorite cover of the Beatles song HELP.

Yep, but only the Riverside live version.
John kills this song in his rendition. It was written and sung by the Beatles.
Great reaction. His talent is mind boggling.

I don't think he would know who the Beatles are. He's too young.
@@dee-smartVery likely… but we gotta educate them.. or at least try and get them interested enough to check out ‘new talent’!!😉
@@nrsvlda70 Definitely!!
