What are your thoughts? How would you have answered the hypothetical, and what's your grail watch/car combo? Let me know 👇

That was a great watch! See what I did there? 😉🤣 Very interesting to hear different opinions on the two topics. You could have given us some more of your own thoughts on the matters discussed, it would be good to hear your likes and preferences too.
It’s cool to hear someone from the US being a JDM fan. Interesting to hear his opinion on Audi too. Never heard that way of thinking before. I’m very much into the rally slags myself, both JDM and European, but of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. That’s when you could buy a similar version for the road, rather than them being bespoke racing machines that have no mechanical similarities to the road car.
I think “car” guys sometimes are folk with lots of money and wanting a way to show it off. That’s why I believe some of them become “watch” guys too, it’s another phallic and account measuring thing. 😉🤣🤣 So many Lambo drivers don’t know one end of a con rod from the other, that makes me sad. BUT that being said, dream watch and dream car is way too long a list to write, it’s impossible to name one of each. If it’s a truly unattainable item due to cost and availability though, I would go either Roger W Smith Series 4 and a Ferrari 250 GTO.
That’s enough writing for now! Take care, peace out and stay funky! 🤘🏻

Haha, I DO see what you did there! Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it! And yes, I probably could have shared more of my thoughts, but I really wanted to give Cole the stage and pick his thoughts on the subjects presented. You'll see and hear enough of me here on my channel, but Cole, well, I don't know how often he can attend :)
Agreed, the rally beasts of yore and what was then offered to the consumer as part of the homologation line differs greatly from what we see today. Safety likely being a major factor. As for the folks that have a larger pocket book than us, I'm sure there's definitely a certain level of "but just look at the price tag of this watch/car isn't expensive?" that overshadows their knowledge of the product itself. On one hand that's their choice, they don't necessarily NEED to know everything about something to want it so that they can enjoy it. On the other hand, when you are truly passionate about something you tend to dive deep and immerse yourself with all aspects of that "thing" including specs, history, etc. with that said, your Roger W Smith + 250 GTO choice is...I mean, let's be real, priceless! Let me know when you pick them up, I'd love to stop by and get a tour mate ;)

@@thetimist haha, yeah, it was a if money was no object kinda choice. As my finances allow, I’ll have to stick to a few Seikos, a Longines and a GT4. I’m good with that though!
Look forward to more content. Your photography does blow me away on Instagram, tbf. 👍🏻👍🏻

For the watch car combo - I think it’s only appropriate to match the era of the car to the watch. I’m thinking 1969 Toyota 2000gt with a Grand Seiko VFA 4580-7000. To me that combo would be tough to beat.

Wow! Now THAT'S a combo! Fantastic idea with pairing them to the era they were born in - 10 points awarded and you're leading the charge for my favorite combo in the comments so far ;)
