I've worked as an FA but always wanted to be a pilot. Because of my eye sight issues I can not be a commercial pilot, but will get my private pilot license for fun. The airline industry is very interesting to me and ever changing. That is something to depend on.

A couple Captains who are ladies and a First Officer who is a lady as well.😊 Thatvis good your husband is a pilot as well. Yes, he understands work schedules as well. Well, Happy New Years 🥂 to you and your husband. Continued success to you flying.😊😊
slayyy! I'm in a small town of 35,000 people but one flying school. I'm the only girl learning, there's one woman who just got her C-CAT license and another girl from about an hour away who comes in every now and then. I say I wanna quit sometimes but then I say "I gotta hold it down for the ladies and be a female pilot". Feels funny sometimes going in to the school at age 20, only girl, and being surrounded by men, I feel like I can't do it cause it's more primarily a "male dominated" job...so I def wanna keep going! They say I'm close to going solo so we'll see where that takes me! 30th Jan 2024
You're ridiculous. Stop trying to force people to do jobs they aren't interested in. No one is saying women can't be pilot's. They have just as much opportunity as everyone else, in fact they probably will ignore your lack of skill and logic and hire you to make themselves look good
Thanks for sharing. Your video post is really inspiring and maybe it will inspire my daughters and other young women to follow the dream. It is an awesome career opportunity for those have the passion to fly an airplane ✈️.
Thank you for sharing. I’m in my sophomore year of college going to school for aviation science with a concentration in flight education. I really feel like I struggle with my private license. I want to work for Delta
When people ask her whether she's a flight attendant or a gate agent, she should say guess... if you're right, I'll give you $50, but if you're wrong, you owe me $50... she can make some additional cash!! 😋😋
It’s good to see women pilots for major airlines flights domestically and internationally! I also like seeing them wear professional suits and ties like men
I love this -- let's not compromise on the merit though - that is bad for everyone on many levels. People need to be absolutely 100% confident that everyone flying them is there on merit and merit alone ..... personally I think women might make better pilots - let's not spoil that party by compromising on skills/abilities/temperament just to make the numbers look 'better' .....
@ossianx8752 I can't see this for anyone being tokenism or any other cheap entry for anyone nor a lowering of standards in any way. Look at those controls and imagine doing this on a good day, it takes training and skill and it takes doing things which at for some time in life there was no need to fit so many controls into and near each hand for example. And then more practice, bad weather, emergencies - at any time it can be your possible last moment you fight to extend in a situation you wish you had more hands and feet in a simulation and in realtime. And in a two-crew member situation in a big airplane, there's just more to do in a bigger flight deck, that colleague to the right or left doesn't make it easier in any situation. I got on any airplane with anyone who had a license to fly and often times I saw or knew the pilot(s). However, I can't fly now, it's gotten too spooky with what I saw (some men had done) out of bad acting though they were equally qualified to fly, repair and service airplanes. It takes several years of learning and practice to do almost anything with airplanes, and more learning and practice just to continue as well as to upgrade and get endorsements. It also takes the right people to start (and) maintain their careers at each professional levels. Good for this woman and all her aviation colleagues who make and keep flying positive and safe. 😊
No, it's not automated. The aircraft is controlled manually when the aircraft is steered to its parking area at the gate. The pilot controls manually the nose wheel and the thrust during the parking phase.

I think the best advice you can offer women (and anybody) starting in aviation is to forget about being a "woman" in aviation. I've come up with a bunch of women. There is no barriers they face that men dont. There is a lot of work and qualificaitons to get. Focus on those. If you get passed them all you'll be an airline pilot just like everyone else. It will only make it harder for you coming up, to add some kind of victum hood mentality to all the work that is required. A worker at the aiport cafe saying he has not met a women pilot before is not oppression or discrimination. People have different views and biases. People have questioned whether Im too old to get into this. Who cares what they think. You just get on with it. Im not going to start making youtube videos about over 50s first officers in aviation.
"There is no barriers they face that men dont." exactly! Nobody wants to fly with someone who whines. It's also an integrity issue, anyone who steps in with that marxist bs "oppression" chip on their shoulder is not something you want to associate yourself with. They're the ones who have the WORST personalities and are completely unpairable.
Really happy for her but disappointed on her flippant/uneducated remark on why women don’t feel they can pursue careers as pilots. Like listening to Oprah as to why people are suffering.
Clinical psychologists have proven that if you let males and females organise themselves into their own groups, males will naturally tend towards more STEM areas, and females more towards humanitarian jobs, like nursing and teaching. Simple fact is, men and women are different, and women will always be a minority in aviation, as just not that many women want to do it. There haven’t been barriers into aviation for women for decades.
Good for her and what she’s doing is all great, except the part where she mentions family life. She says why can’t men raise the kids instead of women. Because men don’t know anything about raising kids day to day. There’s a reason why divorce court sides with the mother when it comes to child custody. I think that’s the main reason why there’s less female pilots, you’ll be gone from your kids at least half the year.
Not all women want to have children either, we're not livestock or incubators. Many men don't have children and no one bothers them about it. It should be the same for women.
