What I said was implying that he actually fell for a super basic and obvious link scam, and instead of risking looking stupid once word gets out about it, he decided to pretend it was on purpose for making content for this video.

This happened to me around half a year ago and my account wasn't banned and was turned into a elf thieving bot
I logged in with 60m and got my two friends bonds and 10m each so we could all start playing together. I got a free boost pretty much xd
same but sadly the farmer didnt let anything on my bank
went from like 500m bank to 30m in crystal shards xD
I also got hacked and was turned into a bot. Except I logged back in with -1.1b :(

the bucket of wax, probably happened because collectors dont like/allow botted items as it devaluates collections, so botters get put on "do not trade/interact with" lists, and probably the guy sold 1mil wax to someone, then that someone realized they were botting it, reported them, and now hes baby raging to "Devaluate" his collection, as collectors value items based on ge value, buy limit, how annoying it is to obtain, ect.

Sorry, side rant, but I'm on adderall and never told anyone publicly, and want to get it off my chest.
TL;DR
I still do have the collection, but honestly I'll probably just keep it, find someone who can...procure another ~500k+ of both to equal 1M total of both (I don't care how at this point, not my business/problem) types of cabbages, and just keep both stacks for life. It's an actual F2P def pot, +2 def if 50def or more (+1 def otherwise), so actually viable to use for F2P risk fighting (actually makes a huge fucking difference in 70+ def risk fights, armor or not), can "pre-pot" in the bank, only need 1-3 more per fight, eat a pizza slice>cabbage combo to "repot" (heals 9HP and delay of a normal swordy eat) and since most F2P risk fighters are 1/low atk now, having higher def actually matters/is useful.
Rant:
There is an extremely high chance I have the largest collection of "F2P def pots" (draynor cabbages) in the game, by far. Because I didn't socialize with the community for a few years, a few ~(4-8ish) key people who know/are confident for a fact I paid vennies very respectable wages to collect the first ~8-25k+ of them minimum (I got into it to try to help vennies, not even for profit, who didn't have the capital or skill to get P2P, do PvM etc., but still feed their families), by collecting cabbages on their "main," and on ~2-6ish alts, semi-AFK either burnt bread on brand new accounts or intentionally burning cooked meat/chicken for profit (back when burnt meat/chicken was somehow equal value to burnt shrimp, which was braindead/made 0 sense since shrimp can't be force burned), usually bread for the first ~500-1k doughs before bread wasn't viable again. I gave the vennies ~70-85% of the profit depending on how difficult they were. They'd get false banned sometimes. I'd pay out of pocket to cover their shit. It was literally feeding their families (I don't buy or sell gold).
Anyways, when I came back to the scene with ~200k+ draynors and ~200k+ normie cabbages (and promised I'd either sell all to one client, or minimum stacks of 100k), they were all sussed as fuck and genuinely wouldn't touch my shit after one key player socially "shut me down" over a misunderstanding that happened YEARS ago (nothing to do with bots), even when back in the day I was offered 25-30M for 10k of both cabbages. I was told if I want those kind of prices i.e. ~2.5-4k ea (I literally paid ~1-1.8k per cabbage, because in F2P it's lots of world hopping, very slow not next to a bank, constant energy pot usage on accs with usually 1 agility), I'd have to "wait it out for 3-12ish months and let us see if someone else comes along, to determine if I requested a custom script, and them hoping said scripter ended up reselling/using it, thus expecting another stack to appear."
I fucking waited, an over a year now, and they STILL don't believe that they weren't botted, since I was only "active" in the scene and introducing some of my employees over 2.5-3+ years ago, and that vennies are "smarter now" (I got these finished years ago, paranoid fucks), and that I must have had a custom bot because I've always focused on F2P items (no, idiots, vennies need to multi log to make living wages if it's F2P. Fresh vennies are too scared to get a bond, or always, always fucking ripped me off if I showed kindness and spoke good Spanish).
This is why I don't even fuck with collectors or collecting anymore, just bond up my maxed med and binge PvP/Wildy PvM for ~7-14 days, and then "quit" for ~3-18 months. Then I just load up the GE sell offers of P2P items on whatever accs with P2P running out, do the same on F2P alts but strictly for buying for F2P items, stack enough cash to supply them for months, and set an alarm for every 6 days to quick log into every acc (~5-80ish depending how many fucks I give) to keep their GE offers active. P2P GE slots and items still buy/sell when you're F2P. Logging into 50 accs literally only takes

I'd not only recommend staying as far away from those phishing scams as possible because you might not get your account back, but also because the more players that click these links, the more spam bots there are at the GE
This happened to me on my account I still play on today. Clicked a "secure" link on Facebook and was dumb enough to enter my info. Lost 200m bank, fast forward 1 year I tried to login and was banned for botting, recovered it successfully. Never killed zulrah before but my boss log is 4k kc.

btw the guy whos spamming and hacked you is named "asentrix" in game. He controls the spamming that goes on in game and whenever someone else starts they start a war antiscamming eachother. He started off being a antiscammer and then joined the darkside and started scamming himself. I know this because i was in this community years ago and dealt with all this.

This is exactly what happened with me years ago. I clicked one of those scams but changed password later and set authenticator, yet I left the game and months later I discovered my account was banned for major botting, while I was no longer playing. It was unappealable until recently when they removed the ban and I found out it became a Vorkath bot. It even had the pet!

One day I noticed that I couldn't log into my main, back when runescape 2 was around. This didn't raise my suspicion as I got distracted by something else. 3 days later I tried again and realized that I was hacked. After recovering my acc I noticed that 40m gold was gone and I was in frost dragon cave. I got sad, until I found 44m worth pile of frost dragon bones in my bank and most of my combat stats were nearly 99 and I had some membership days left too. I called it a win-win-win scenario, but took my security seriously ever since.
Those names from Cooking Guild looks like Vietnamese names. It might be botters from Vietnam.
recently recovered my account, was turned into a vorkath bot with around 17k kc
That broken bot that was botting demonic gorillas was at the gorillas a couple weeks ago, and it just sat with melee prayer the whole time attacking with a whip, until it would die then come back and do it again. Super weird
My account somehow got hacked about a year ago. A few weeks ago when I wanted to play again I thought I forgot my password. I recovered it eventually and found out it was banned for botting. I managed to appeal the ban and got unbanned. It did not seem like there was much botting done. The stats were still the same somewhat but all my funds were gone though.
Just got my account back yesterday after 3 years. Was a 60 attack claws pure. They turned it into a main and got pets and couple 99s. Idk if I should be mad or not though 😂
My 116 got hacked and I recovered it but I don't have the energy to rebuild or rebuild and somehow gets hacked again. I miss playing but watching your videos and a few other people keep me happy

My mate got hacked, I messaged him on FB as he hadn't played in years. He logged in, it was an arma bot, he traded me the 200m loot/gear and logged out. Easiest 200m I ever made.
I gave away my account in lumbridge in like 2005. Ended up logging back in to RS3 a year or 2 ago, and they did so much on the account, that I just kept all the info the same after checking out Archaeology for a bit. Shoutout to the random noob in lumbridge 8 years ago. Hope you're doing alright.

Glad to see my email make it in @ 0:20. exact same way they botted mine, although they ruined my stats as a dwh pure. they got my attack up from 1-3. prayer up from 31-47, and range from 51 to 71. i contacted jagex through so many channels to roll back my account stats pre hack (like they always did in rs2 hack/banned accounts) and they just wont/wouldnt for osrs. i didnt even ask for my bank back which was about 100m. i was left with about 5m in supplies >:(. now im stuck with a ranged based dwh pure.
i think my steam account was hacked though, as they didnt need my password to log in.

Seeing volcanic ash bots at a much higher frequency since the ban wave conroversy, and looks like they could be making ~598k/hr per bot at high mining levels. One example acc is below, just high enough reqs for Fossil Island unlock and then 86 mining (likely around 36m worth of volcanic ash for this one account alone)

In world 178 I’m seeing 5 bots just sitting there. all level 13 all identical looking and holding only a bronze pickaxe just outside Faldor on your way to Varock just standing by the npc Willow. I should also mention they haven’t moved in over 20 minutes. Update while making my way to edgeville there were more near the barbarian village but those were cutting trees in groups of 3
Dude this same thing happened to me, I literally made a video about it. My character was also a Revenant bot. They got roughly 1800 kills before it was banned. I appreciate you making this video but it also scares me because so many people got their account hijacked and used as a Rev bot.
mine got about 25k before I recovered it, it didn't even get banned.

Yup, this happened to me too. They hacked 3 of my accounts, one of them got 2,500 Cg kills, the other two have about 30k rev kills each. There was about 500m on all the accounts when they got banned. They're all recovered and 100% safe now, with a lot better stats than before I quit lol

Got mine hacked. Came back with 100% Shayzien Favor I never earned, some Ranged levels, and a Blowpipe I never bought. Realized my account was hacked and botted at Lizardman Shamans.

My account got hacked and banned many years ago (like 2014) but fortunately I do have it back. They made me a RS3 nature runecrafting bot, and got the pet too.
I got hacked earlier this month lost access to my account. I finally figured out how to gain access back an all my skills were boosted to lvl 70 that I didn't find interest in like my hunter skill was 9 now 70. Mining an smithing was lvl 40 now 70..... Woodcutting was 49 now 70.......... An range as well. An had 10m gp and all the stuff to get those particular skills to 99 in my bank
My 75 def maxed med account got turned into a zulrah bot with a 29k kc. They didn’t get rid of any of the untradeables but it had the pet drop 5 times and both mutagens after I recovered it 2 weeks ago 😂
Pugger there are multiple massive bot farms at lava dragons, ranging feom fresh accounts to mid levels that instantly log out when they see any player that isnt a boy that could attack them.

One of my older accounts got hacked and now has 200m thieving xp, rather big shock once I recovered it.
i didint play osrs in years. last year i decided to play the game again. tried to log in to my pure and noticed it was hacked.
when i recovered it. i noticed he was 60m hunter exp and the GE history is all stacks of 10k chins being sold. that was it … some guy in china apparently. and no i got no pet in Collection log

@SirPugger I have since reported every one I saw. All would be wearing brown robes and would come into the lair before sarachnis to get the red spider eggs, all with weird names like xhuais8hrbfbksid. My assumption is that they were doing it for diaries. Not one would reply to me and it was going on for hours. I never hopped world's but it would take about 2 minutes and a different bot would come through wearing the same stuff.

Got hacked 2 years ago, they botted minnows non stop. Took a year before I was even allowed to appeal the ban and when I got it back I was cleaned of valuables other than 60mil fishing XP and a Heron.
After taking a break from the game a few years back, I decided to log back in but instead found out my account was banned for botting. I never botted, so I appealed and got it back. My username was changed, and I had to wait 3 days for the new bank pin to go away.
I don't know how much I had prior to getting hacked, but I'd have to guess it wasn't more than 150m in gear. I finally got to open my bank after recovering my account, and, well... First thing I see was 141m cash stack and a ton of zulrah drop table loot. The zulrah teleports drop change occurred which made the 10k zulrah teleports sitting in my bank worth another 20m or so. I had never seen so much money at once and it gave me a great foundation to get back into the game. I even finished the western achievement diary cape without ever killing zulrah myself. Pretty sure they got me some void gear too.
Will never forget that moment of reopening what was sort of my bank! (like pugger said, don't try this yourself -- I just got lucky)
I got phished on my nearly maxed account 9 years ago and they did not even give me an appeal option so I left until OSRS on a new account

The quest was likely from a pre made script to get slayer level for avas accumulator. The botter wouldn’t change the script if you already had it. They just press run

This is exactly what happened to my old account. They got me from 70ish range to 28m range xp. Rev log had 78k revs killed in approx 4 months time (I know this because my email had password reset requests that stopped approx 4 months ago). My bank had 43M in loot and my acc got temp banned, but I got the account back
yeah i had an old pretty high level account that i stopped playing for a while before giving it to a friend. i mean i didn't fall for a phishing scam or anything it was just a dormant account that got hacked eventually, anyway it was turned into a barrows bot and had 2,471 before it was perma banned and i recovered it. oh and everything of value was gone unlike your account
Do not get that Jagex Account until they sort out issues with it. Guys had 24-48 hours locked out of their account due to issues on their back end.

1:38 email to remove authenticator can have downsides, because a hacker can remove your authenticator if they have access to your email. This has happened to an RS3 player I know.

my runelite crashes nonstop since I upgraded to a jagex account and started using the launcher. no settings or plugins have otherwise been changed. can't teleport to a few places because it'll immediately crash runelite too.

So I just started playing again after a 2 year break. Started playing last week and apparently my account was hacked and turned in to a thieving bot. The hacker got rogues gear on my account, did song of the elves quest, and got me 32m thieving xp and Rocky pet lol. However, I lost all my bank like 250m gp

This actually happened to my account, it became a zulrah bot and it had insane KC, ITEMS and even a pet.. they ruined my pure I was very sad :/ learned my lesson
Now to get 99 cooking to get those bots in the cooking guild

a friend of mine got hacked and used as a gotr and wintertodt bot. logged back into his account after 5-6 months with his whole bank deleted and replaced with100k nature runes and like a thousand charged glory’s 💀 he has 99 rc and has never crafted one rune in his life lmao
Hey pugger, my account was actually in this same situation just this year. The only difference between your situation and mine is that the botter also appealed the major ban and I have no way of getting in contact with jagex outside of Twitter, which is basically useless.
Any advice on how I can proceed?
back when I was grinding mlm on my ironman, I saw another account I made mining there at mlm, I wouldn't have known it was even hacked if I didn't see it myself since it's an account I never played. but the name was definitely mine and when I looked it up it had around 94 mining.

Lol I love that I'm stumbling on this video now. I stopped played OSRS after a solid 90 days in game play time, was about a year and a half break. When I came back I was banned, and I've never done anything crazy besides the typical chat banter, but It was for macro. Told Jagex I haven't even been on my account and no one has access, so it got unbanned. Checked the bank: I was a fucking Zulrah bot LOL. The bot ended up getting me the pet and another mutagen. I had roughly 3-4k kills beforehand, afterwards kc was 8k+.
This reminds me I did the same thing I just sent in a recovery the acc was pretty much a fresh acc and it got banned in 2020

Love your videos! But one thing I would like to mention is that when you said "chance to recover and get your account unbanned is super low." Recovery, maybe. But if they are able to recover it, Jagex most likely WILL unban it. It's very common for botters to use a VPN to bot on. Then when the account gets banned, put in a ticket to recover the account, saying it was hacked. (This only works on accounts they either have all the info for (and email accounts) or accounts they made themselves) and Jagex is known to unban botted accounts numerous times due to false hacking claims.
Lads Cba explaining but OSRS has no end game anymore. Accounts are being hacked even with auth, years of progress down the drain. Make sure you sign up to this new security system as they obviously know accs are being hacked and given why it’s been introduced!
