3:45 #8 I’m like half sure that magical injuries like from curses or werewolves etc. can’t be cured or undone? IIRC George’s ear was unabled to be fixed I assume from a curse. Moody’s leg was probably lost from a curse or smth similar as well since he was an Auror. On the flip side, Peter’s hand wasn’t magically wounded from a curse, he chopped his own hand off using a knife so Voldemort was able to give him a new one using magic.
If it being a cursed injury was enough to prevent people from giving him a new magically-fabricated leg, it should have also prevented him from attaching what he ended up picking instead.
For what its worth, Snape has the ability to heal injuries caused by Sectumsempra. I also wouldn't doubt that someone at the wizard hospital could do it, but since the Order is well aware that the Death Eaters are about to take over, that would probably be a last resort for George.
@@Nemo12417 Snape created _Sectumsempra_ himself and anyone who had the magical aptitude to create curses would need to create the counter curse to remove the effects.
4:35 For question 9, this is why I wish they kept the scene where it shows Dudley's character development when they were leaving in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1.
Same with Draco, When Hagrid drops Harry twords the end and they realize he's still alive, Draco runs past at the same time and tosses Harry his wand. Not sure why they didn't show that part, makes no sense. That showed a different side of Draco and showed him helping for once lol they should've left that in It's in the deleted scenes
@@LexyThomas134 the Draco thing never happened in the book. Harry already had Draco’s wand with him. If I recall correctly he and his parents actually run away
For question 11. Voldemort somewhat verifies the death of Harry. He uses the cruciatus curse multiple times on Harry. It just doesn’t work which is confirmation for Voldemort that Harry is dead
Voldemort had Narcissa check because when he hit Harry with the killing curse, he was also blasted unconscious and didn’t wake up until the same time Harry did, so he sent someone else because he had no idea what just happened and was actually scared to go near him himself. Harry notes it was satisfying to hear him hesitant to approach him directly.
I heard the rumor that Mrs. Norris is also a Maledictus. Which is why you would be able to see her as she was once a human. Pretty sure the sheer number of castle rats and student’s companion animals would either overload the Marauder’s Map or it would be nearly unreadable with all the traffic… lol maybe? But I like the idea of why Filch is so attached to Mrs. Norris being she is actually his wife
I would love a movie about Lucius malfoys school days, and his rise to power, kind of like a house of cards thing, but with magic political intrigue and you get too see Voldemort gaining followers and being charismatic like a anti hero, and what drives someone to be lured into darkness
I do think that they weren't really able to do to moodys leg what voldy did to pettigrews hand, due to the way those limbs were seperated. Pettigrew cut his hand of with a pretty much normal knife, whilist moodys leg was probably severed by a curse or other dark/black magic. Molly Weasly actually gave sort of an answer to this question, after George lost his ear in the fight of the 7 Potters when she's asked by (i think it was) Ron, why she just doesn't grow it back: Wounds caused by black magic are really different to heal and take longer (look at Arthur Weasly after he was attacked by Nagini). So on topic of Moodys lost leg, I'd say it may be possible to attach a proper synthetic leg, but it wouldn't act and/or respond like the hand of Wormtail did, due to the injury being caused by dark magic.
They should listen to the fans and get fans to contribute their ideas and creative direction towards these movies they bring out. Makes sense to hit the nail on the head with what the Harry Potter community demands and would actually want to see.
for question 11, also I am pretty sure he was using legilimency and he was too arrogant to think Narcisa could trick him at question 12, Dean use the wand to animate the banner, but he painted himself.
There's also nothing to say there wasn't an art class. Just because Harry, Ron, and Hermione didn't take one didn't mean there weren't any. There were a lot of classes we only found out about because Hermione managed to wedge them into her schedule.
2:40 Even if James' (who died at the age of 21) Parents were old parents, there's no way they're older than 65-68. That's not that old, especially for wizards who have a higher life expectancy.
@@friendofstars Most likely murdered by Death Eaters to prevent a home field advantage from the Muggle world since her parents acknowledge the wizarding world. And to anger the muggleborn Lily Evans. As to why he let the Dursleys live. He was only busy on enacting his rule. He didn’t bother to check Lily’s older sister nor her husband Vernon and their son Dudley. His arrogance killed him many times over.
The movies also pronounced Voldemort's name incorrectly since I remember JK stating even as far back as 2001 that the final T wasn't meant to be pronounced.
I've heard a theory that the marauders put Mrs. Norris on the map so as to avoid being caught by her (and subsequently Filch). There was no need to include other pets/animals on the map, so they didn't. That's, of course, assuming that Mrs. Norris really is the only animal that shows up on the map.
Spin offs would be better. And if they wanted to do a remake I think an animated one would be the better option rather than recasting so many iconic actors.
Re QUESTION 10: Harry also didn't see Thestrals at the end of Book 4 after witnessing Cedric's death. They're clearly taking the carriages back to the Hogwarts Express, while Hermione says good bye to Krum and the Horseless Carriages are coming to get them... Nothing about Harry seeing giant beasts pulling them. Seems like an error to me.
Because the lore behind them is that to see them you have to witness and understand the death that happened. That was only like the next day after Cedric's. Harry hadn't had time to properly come to terms with it
My theory on Boggarts is that they are similar to Dementors. Non-beings that represent a particular emotion and feed off them. In the Boggart's Case I theorize they have a mist like natural form and assume the target's worst fear to feed on their Dread. Ridiculous being the counter spell because it removes the terror and robs the Boggart of its strength. Their Natural Form itself being a representation of "Fear of The Unknown".
I was getting ready to get my memory jogging, but then you mentioned it's buzzfeed, so I just leaned back and watched how predictable most of these questions are.
I want to say thank you for every video of Harry Potter lore that you made. I just discovered your channel 6 - 8 months ago, and I usually watch your video before I sleep. Because I often watch your videos, it makes this channel become no 1 in my top podcast on RUclips music recap in the 2024. What I love about your channel is your pronunciation is clear. You speak so clearly and the word choice is easy to understand for me who is not fluent in English. Your speaking speed is not too fast, but not too slow. It just fit for me. Actually English is my 3rd language, so sometimes I find it difficult to watch/listen to full English videos/audio. I often turn on the CC, but for your video, I don't really need to turn on the CC, well I still turn on the CC anyway, BUT... even if I don't read the CC, I still get what you said. You are a really good podcaster. Thank you for every Harry Potter video you made. Every video has an interesting theme, and it makes my knowledge about the wizarding world increase, and it entertains me a lot. Thank you for making it easy to understand for the non-English speaker too. Now this channel is my favorite youtube channel ❤
My head cannon has Mrs Norris as a Maledictus who previously, in her human form, had a relationship with a young Filtch, who was so overcome with grief and depression that he went off the rails, done some bad stuff, but was in such emotional turmoil that he couldn't use magic anymore. His punishment was to be around all the new wizards and have to see them discovering their abilities every day, clearing up their messes manually. PEEVES WAS PART OF HIS PUNISHMENT.
I think a lot of people forget that the books are about KIDS. Kids make dumb, not so smart decisions all the time. Yes Harry could've lied to Dobby, but like, why would he have? To Harry, Dobby was asking Harry to give up just about the only thing he cared about in life at that point.
As far as Moody's leg and worm tails hand, it's most likely a false equivalence. Wormtail removed his hand with a knife, there was no magic involved, it was purely physical. A lot easier to remedy or replace with magic. We don't know how Moody Lost the leg, But it's safe to assume it was probably cursed off, and we know from George's ear that body parts that are removed by curses are exceedingly difficult and oftentimes impossible to straight up repair or replace magically. Hence, the prosthetic leg.
For number 18, my hot take is that miss Norris is actually like Nagini, a maledictus. That's why she's so smart and so observant and loyal. And that's why we can see her name too.
@JPer811 Because the American Wizarding School as well as the other Wizarding schools are interesting to me and I want to see them be explored more that's why.
Literally the first question is answered in the 1st book Voldemort couldn’t kill Harry with his hands because Lilly put a protective spell on Harry making him literally “untouchable” from Voldemort which is why professor Quirrel literally burnt Voldemort out of him when Harry touch him. As well as Voldemort couldn’t kill the Potters without magic and they knew he was coming. The protective spell would have been place on Harry no matter what….. Plus It was considered in the Prophecy anyway.
About Moodys leg.. I might be totally wrong, but wasn't there something about wounds inflicted through curses can't really be healed? Since Moody was an auror, I'm pretty sure he didn't lose his leg in some accident or anything like that.
The silver hand wasn't fixing what was broken, though, it was creating something brand new. A silver leg for Moody shouldn't be blocked by a cursed injury, because it's fundamentally not fixing what was damaged.
A spinoff of Hagrid’s time away in order of phoenix would be interesting. Watching him trying not to get caught by dark wizards while negotiating with the giants and other creatures would have been cool to see!
I need you to do a deep dive into the marauders or the children after the Harry Potter series (separate from the cursed child) Also deeply love your channel and what you do 🫶
Also what you didn't mention for question 11 the scenes are different from book to movie in the movie he only sends Narcissa to confirm it but in the book after Narcissa confirms it he actually tosses Harry up and down and it takes everything in Harry not to make a sound to give away he's alive
Yo I'll always enjoy listening to you ramble, no question there haha... More than spin offs though, what I really want to see is what magic looked like at the very beginning. The Founders were crazy-strong, but show me Merlin. Hell, show me Atlantis and the world before the Statute of Secrecy.
I agree with the notion of seeing magic at the beginning of human history, but a slight correction (also, sorry to be "that guy"): Merlin was contemporaneous with the Founders, as he was one of the first students at Hogwarts and was in Slytherin.
Maybe Moody just saw an empty cupboard rattling with his magic eye and deducted that this had to be a boggart as any other vicious creature would have had a form. We learned that a boggart facing no one probably has no defined appearance.
6:40 I kinda thought of of it like as a “ghostly ball” that just morphs when someone sees it (as it does have some sort of mass to be able to hide and not simply phrase through stuff).
You answered the question about Harry not being able to see the Thestrals before Cedric died. It makes some sense but let me bring this question a step further: Why could he not see the Thestrals pulling the carriages at the very end of the 4th Book? The Carriages are mentioned as still being self pulling in the scene where everyone says goodbye at Hogwarts in the end. (Something I stumbled upon when I reread the book in my breaktimes)
Hey Morgan, I love your videos sense forever!! And I also think that you could do one video on what a few Harry Potter characters would tell in each book (it could be a series) when they take Veritasium!! I just think it would be a really cool series!! But love your videos!!!
subbed years ago.. then you was put out of loop in the feed. guess maybe hp content was. now you back suddenly, love it. nice to see you still doing videos
Thanks for the excellent visual of Voldemort punching baby Harry. I imagine Voldemort doing a WWE suplex on him, then doing an elbow drop off the top of a bookshelf. As for the last question, idk what they mean about "who asked for this [TV adaptation]?" Millions of people have asked for this. A TV show is the only way to adequately adapt a book series, and it's only been because of recent TV adaptations of book series that proved to studios that they can be successful, whereas before, movies were the only way adaptations were made. And the movies as a whole are not a good adaptation, or even close to it. They aren't as bad as the Percy Jackson movies, but after the first 3 (though I don't even love the 3rd one), the movies range from middling to garbage. Goblet and Half Blood Prince are just embarrassingly bad. For years, people have been clamoring for a TV adaptation to finally do it right and not cut out 60% of the material.
I think Voldemort believed Narcissa because he was completely sure noone is able to lie to him. Also, I might be wrong on this, but I believe Dean could draw and he actually painted this baner for the match, he just used his wand to make it roar or something. I mean, he couldnt just wave his wand and make it appear.
with Mrs Norris question, perhaps, the marauders enchanted the map to only see animals or tools that could be used by Flich, as he is always against funny things as pranks and everything like that
To point 2 1:40 - my headcanon is that it was a magically binding promise. House elves have really powerful magic unknown to wizards and while Harry didn’t know it at the time (his reason is that he’s just a good and honest child) I could see there being consequences for disobeying. Maybe it would magically make him unable to leave or make him forget about hogwarts or something. Kind of akin to the triwizard tournament and goblet of fire being magically binding, though they don’t really elaborate on the consequences of not following through.
You uploaded it earlier and I was still at work and was very eager to watch. Nice video as usual and I appreciate you for another Harry Potter video answering these questions. Looking good too with your hairstyle!
I have often wondered why Moody put so many lives in danger to get Harry to the Burrow when he could have apparated to the Dursly's, taken Harry and disapparated directly to the Burrow? I know Harry still had the trace on him but isn't apparating instantaneous?
That's explained in the book. They had to use modes of transportation that couldn't be tracked, like apparition or the flue network. They were limited to brooms, thestrals, and Sirius' old motorbike.
Maybe another interesting question is why didn't they make a whole lot more of those magical eyes Moody wears. Seems like that is some very useful thing to have.
Regarding Spinoffs I honestly dont believe Warner Brothers can make them without JK Rowling's permission or involvement. She wrote all three Fantastic Beasts screenplays which I think was partly why they weren't as well received.
I have so many ideas for spin offs: 1) 4 marauders 2) 4 founders 3) Teddy lupin 4) Dumbledores backstory 5) Grindlewalds backstory 6) Albus potter (not something like the cursed child) 7) Mcgonagalls backstory 8) Book about house elves and their lives (bc I kinda stand for spew) Theres also a bunch more but my mind is not thinking rn
This was a really cool video idea, morgan! If you, and everyone else will indulge me, I have a few of my own answers and thoughts. Mad eye Moody couldn't magically replace his limb because it was severed with magic. Hmm .. honestly that argument sounded stronger in my head but maybe there's something to it? I think it would better explain why they couldn't just regrow his leg. Also, I imagine that Moody saw amorphous shapeless smoke as a bar and its true form. I think the idea of Dudley seeing himself as he is, seeing his truth in the dementors come near him is really interesting. And it tracks because he had enough self-awareness and, I don't know, neuroplasticity? to make the shift from hating and bullying Harry to appreciating him and wanting him around after he recovered from the dementor attack. I agree with you, morgan, fantastic beasts and where to find them would have been better as a standalone movie and have the other ones been separate spin-offs. Lastly, Mrs Norris is the only pet Harry would be interested in looking for on the Marauder's map because he mostly uses it for sneaking around the castle and he has to account for her because whenever Mrs Norris finds a student, she always whisks off to go find filch to get people in trouble. I think other pets are visible just not mentioned.

plus would not have to worry about the ages of the characters because they are well animated
"It has already been done". So had lord of the rings, and most people dont even know about the original ones. That point is absolutely moot.
An animated series wouldnt come close to the impact live action does. You know how i know? Lord of the rings did that too.
animated series are trashh bruhh

3:45 #8 I’m like half sure that magical injuries like from curses or werewolves etc. can’t be cured or undone? IIRC George’s ear was unabled to be fixed I assume from a curse. Moody’s leg was probably lost from a curse or smth similar as well since he was an Auror. On the flip side, Peter’s hand wasn’t magically wounded from a curse, he chopped his own hand off using a knife so Voldemort was able to give him a new one using magic.
The book mentions that the blade is cursed and Harry gets a scar from that blade that can’t be removed like his forehead scar
Yeah like even though Bill Weasley didn't end up being a werewolf his scars are permanent

That showed a different side of Draco and showed him helping for once lol they should've left that in
It's in the deleted scenes
@@LexyThomas134 the Draco thing never happened in the book. Harry already had Draco’s wand with him.
If I recall correctly he and his parents actually run away
@Boundwithflame23 Even if it wasn't in the books, it still makes sense that would happen after Harry saved his life IMO have a good one ♡
I been watching this channel forever I cant believe how far he went, never fails to please! Potterhead and Flamehead for life!😆
I love these type of movieFlame harry Potter videos
5:29 he did use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry's supposed dead body in the books
Molly Weasly actually gave sort of an answer to this question, after George lost his ear in the fight of the 7 Potters when she's asked by (i think it was) Ron, why she just doesn't grow it back:
Wounds caused by black magic are really different to heal and take longer (look at Arthur Weasly after he was attacked by Nagini).
So on topic of Moodys lost leg, I'd say it may be possible to attach a proper synthetic leg, but it wouldn't act and/or respond like the hand of Wormtail did, due to the injury being caused by dark magic.
This was EXTREMELY Helpful!!!! Thank You Morgan!!!!❤
I love this channel only channel i watch on harry potter lore too loyal
They should listen to the fans and get fans to contribute their ideas and creative direction towards these movies they bring out. Makes sense to hit the nail on the head with what the Harry Potter community demands and would actually want to see.
The new TV show is going to suck ass.
19: who asked for it? Look to the millions of people who visit The Wizarding World at Universal Studios Orlando every year
for question 11, also I am pretty sure he was using legilimency and he was too arrogant to think Narcisa could trick him
at question 12, Dean use the wand to animate the banner, but he painted himself.
There's also nothing to say there wasn't an art class. Just because Harry, Ron, and Hermione didn't take one didn't mean there weren't any. There were a lot of classes we only found out about because Hermione managed to wedge them into her schedule.
Didn’t he also use Crucio on Harry as well?
2:40 Even if James' (who died at the age of 21) Parents were old parents, there's no way they're older than 65-68. That's not that old, especially for wizards who have a higher life expectancy.
Dragon pox
They died from dragon pox and their son is devastated by this profound sense of loss.

The movies also pronounced Voldemort's name incorrectly since I remember JK stating even as far back as 2001 that the final T wasn't meant to be pronounced.
Correct. It was that way in the Scholastic pronunciation guide.
A Marauder’s TV show would be pure gold
Aberforth is Albus’ brother so yes he was close originally, they stopped being close after their sister Ariana died
How about "The Muppets go to Hogwarts" - Kermit as Harry, Miss Piggy as Hermione and we know who the Ginger One is. Obviously Sweetums would be Hagrid
It’s in the books that Lilly’s parents were killed while she was still at Hogwarts
Maybe Moody saw himself dead. Maybe that was his biggest fear, but because he saw himself he knew it was a boggart.
Mrs. Norris is like Nagini. Once was a woman cursed to end up as an animal.
Wasn’t Nagini afflicted by a disease that eventually made her transformation permanent…So can Mrs. Norris be sick with the same thing.
11:17 thanks for not giving “fan concerns” the day of light
also on number 11, voldemort DID verify harrys death by using crucio
I think Voldemort was so arrogant he never even considered Narcissa might have the audacity to lie to him.
The Marauders Map when the Weasley twins’ found it: “Ah yes. These two are worthy to use me. I will allow them to access me.” 😂
As far as Moody's leg and worm tails hand, it's most likely a false equivalence.
U can hear the disdain in Morgan’s voice having to answer stuff he’s answered for hours and hours already
For number 18, my hot take is that miss Norris is actually like Nagini, a maledictus. That's why she's so smart and so observant and loyal. And that's why we can see her name too.
5:31 also in the books they did kind of check if Harry was dead. Voldemort was using Crucio curse on Harry’s supposed dead body.
I guess everyone just forgot that Voldemort used Crucio on Harry's "body" to prove to himself that Harry was dead...
I think that the new HP HBO series should be about the American Wizarding School. As well as exploring the other Wizarding schools in the HP universe.
That would be shit.
… why?
@JPer811 Because the American Wizarding School as well as the other Wizarding schools are interesting to me and I want to see them be explored more that's why.
Hearing you just chillin' and doing your thing was great. Minimal editing. I love this content.
This upload truly saved me from another boring day. W Morgan!
Can you make a history of the potter family video
Morgan I’m a relatively new subscriber/ viewer. I never realized how little I knew about Harry Potter lore until I came across you 🤣❤️🤘🏻
I need you to do a deep dive into the marauders or the children after the Harry Potter series (separate from the cursed child)
Also deeply love your channel and what you do 🫶
Also what you didn't mention for question 11 the scenes are different from book to movie in the movie he only sends Narcissa to confirm it but in the book after Narcissa confirms it he actually tosses Harry up and down and it takes everything in Harry not to make a sound to give away he's alive
Great shout!
Hi Morgan. Your videos are fire!
You Ramble, Morgan? Never!
Maybe Moody just saw an empty cupboard rattling with his magic eye and deducted that this had to be a boggart as any other vicious creature would have had a form. We learned that a boggart facing no one probably has no defined appearance.
My theory is a boggart is in a superposition of appearances until directly observed.
I’ve always wondered what Hogwarts graduation was like. It would have been cool to read about or see
6:40 I kinda thought of of it like as a “ghostly ball” that just morphs when someone sees it (as it does have some sort of mass to be able to hide and not simply phrase through stuff).
This channel really is gonna be great for the Harry Potter tv series I’m running straight here after every episode lol
Hey Morgan, I love your videos sense forever!! And I also think that you could do one video on what a few Harry Potter characters would tell in each book (it could be a series) when they take Veritasium!! I just think it would be a really cool series!! But love your videos!!!
What if Harry was UNDER the invisibility cloak, the Bogart wouldn't know he was there, and he could see what it actually looked like too.
subbed years ago.. then you was put out of loop in the feed. guess maybe hp content was. now you back suddenly, love it. nice to see you still doing videos
Animagus is the singular with Animaji behind the plural.

You know it’s gonna be a good day when Movie Flame posts 😊
NOT BAD for a last-minit video...the quiz was kinda kool TOO!
Wow😮 i loved 🥰👏🏻👏🏻thanks for the amazing vídeo
I love this candid and unscripted video. I mean you write excellent scripts however this was also cool.
Another good idea would be a movie, a show, or a video game about the Ministery of Magic. Theirs alot of avenues to go down to expand the universe.
Morgans vid on politics and wealth covers what we know of it but an expansion would be cool that vid is one of my favs
Sounds oversaturated to be honest.
with Mrs Norris question, perhaps, the marauders enchanted the map to only see animals or tools that could be used by Flich, as he is always against funny things as pranks and everything like that
To point 2 1:40 - my headcanon is that it was a magically binding promise.
The plural of animagus should be animagi
Maybe another interesting question is why didn't they make a whole lot more of those magical eyes Moody wears. Seems like that is some very useful thing to have.
Regarding Spinoffs I honestly dont believe Warner Brothers can make them without JK Rowling's permission or involvement. She wrote all three Fantastic Beasts screenplays which I think was partly why they weren't as well received.
I have so many ideas for spin offs:
1) 4 marauders
2) 4 founders
3) Teddy lupin
4) Dumbledores backstory
5) Grindlewalds backstory
6) Albus potter (not something like the cursed child)
7) Mcgonagalls backstory
8) Book about house elves and their lives (bc I kinda stand for spew)
Theres also a bunch more but my mind is not thinking rn

Thank you sm for making a video out of this, i had a lot of questions regarding the harry potter series. Once again thank you so much!
