You have to focus to have any fun in a game session really. And that takes around 15-30 minutes for you to get deep into the game, and only then you will have the fun that the game is supposed to give. Indeed it is a myth

I agree. I can't just play a game for only 15 mins once I start playing; and I'm probably not even 10% as passionate about games as an average gamer.

But you can, not play for 5 days and play 3 hours one day. That's what I do. I was playiong 1 hour for 3 days, but those 1 hour sessions became 1.5/2 I condensed them to one day of the week and bam! much better

What I took away from this video:
    1. Have a goal/vision for your life
    2. Do things that get you closer to that vision consistently (microroutines)
    3. Therefore use a schedule
    4. Use the schedule in a way that you follow it (appropriate relation of responsibility and freetime)
    5. Sorround yourself with people that are competent and maintain these relationships
    6. Sorround yourself with people you can tell bad aswell as good news

My first Facebook friend was a stranger who convinced me to try Facebook; especially as a way to connect with family out of state. Or even all a family member, or look up an old school friend/associate and request to be their friend.

Try building relationships with people of a common interest. Get to some group of people doing things you are also interested in, and hit a conversation with them about those things. Speak with a lot of people you can get. Some will stay some will leave but then, you can ask them to show you how they do it best. They will show you and like you for that you ask for their expertise.
Ask people how they choose or find themselves in those things of interest. Ask them what they like what they like, what feeling they get from it. Look at other people as to understand who they are and they will get interested in you. If they don't then they are egoists, narcissists and leave them be. But the most important thing is to be around people, to be open and when speaking, put your focus on them, to understand them and speak about yourself only when they ask you.
This help me make great connections with amazing people.

I think I should mention that he's Canadian, so when he talks about what your time's worth its in Canadian dollars so roughly speaking, if you're from the United States take the square root of that figure, and if you're from Mexico then square it... and if you're from the European Union...well then cry.

No point it crying. Push yourself a bit, then a bit more and get better. Seriously, it`s as simple as that

    hm...TIL i'm a bad friend.
honestly, i don't know what to do when someone has a problem, i don't know much about what to do when i have a problem, i grew up online where people don't wanna hear your problems, so when someone has a problem beyond trying to help solve it i don't know what to do. i don't know comforting words beyond "that sucks" and "sorry" i don't know how to make someone feel better. i don't know how to make myself feel better.
don't think i have trouble celebrating good things, can go out to eat somewhere expensive (if i can afford it), or throw a party if i can't, of course the words of congratulations. i tend to be mindful of my friends' problems and my gifts are always well received as they tend to come from a particular understanding of that person and the things they like and dislike, but when a friend has a problem it makes me sad and i have no idea what to do, like i'm looking at an engine that has stopped working. i'm completely clueless.

You have a gift of understanding, maybe your problem to actually hearing someones problem without taking it too much into a personal level comes from some relative around you who makes all the people that hear about his/her problem really suffer because of it, instead of trying to work around a solution.
You don't need to be the one who give the solutions on the spot, but you can certainly be the one who could walk the path to find that solution, if you really are interested on helping. I don't really think you are a bad friend, you're just a friend with some problems to attend first, so you can be able to help others.
I'm talking from experience on this, DON'T try to make your self grow by trying to help people through telling them what to do, instead, be the one who is around and active about getting a solution to said problem. Be a spot of energy and hope, and be atentive from those around you who just want to talk about their problems but not seek the solution, you are probably too empathetic to actually live in peace through that, it will drain too much energy from you. Let people you care for know that once the problem is there, you must look for the way to solve it. To let people come to you just to talk about their problems but no intention of working to solve it is bad for you. Hope you do well.

If Dr Peterson's language is too strong for your kids, then maybe they should wait until they're a bit older to watch his videos. They might be hard to understand for kids.
