wonderful video man. Hate to say it but I think you convinced me to buy a C8 Lol
I think the C8 is the best sports car buy anywhere. I'm on my 2nd one.
@@RobertMacCready appreciate it I’ll have one once I get ride of my Daytona 392 Charger. It’s shocking you’ve had 20 corvettes total but it says a lot about the car
“My wife and I are still talking to each other” 😂😂
True story!!! 😀
Love the opening shot from the drone! This man obviously had a successful career and is living the dream. Enjoying adult toys like the drone, 20 Corvette’s over the years, a beautiful FL home on a golf course, $80k C8 Corvette, etc.
Wife and I have worked very hard, over the many years we've been married. It's been a great collaboration. She even let me race my Corvettes for about 20 years. (Mostly autocrossing and track events) We've bought houses when we should and sold all of them for a profit. Not sure if I'd call it luck or just using our heads. Maybe a bit of both. Best move we ever made was to Florida. I love this state. Yes, it's hot in the summer but air conditioning here is great. And I can drive my Corvette year-round. And the folks here are very friendly.
You can't base success on a $500 DJI drone,; 20 Corvettes, maybe
Don't forget to thank God for having the ultimate say-so!
I love how you get straight to it , instead of babbling like other content creators . Awesome
Still the best Corvette videos that RUclips has to offer!! Mr. MacReady tells it like it is, and he always has!! He offers wonderful insight, and his camera skills are second to none! Thank You for the time and effort you spend bringing us your wonderful content. We appreciate you!!
I love the 81’
Thank you, Robert for your introduction of your beautiful Corvette C8. I always enjoy watching your videos. They are so clear and informative. I am still waiting for my 2023 C8. What I learned from you will surely be very helpful and handy when I get mine, hopefully by March 2023.
That strip looks so much better than the options GM offers! The driveway really enhances the look of the car too! My last Corvette was a C5R-427 that we built for the track and we are on the list for the Z06 to get back to running track events at Road Atlanta, if GM can ever make enough!
Hey Bob!! What a treat!! Excellent production, I felt just like I was right there!!! Time marches on but it NEVER gets old!! Save the wave!!!
Wave is saved. Thanks Sandee!!
My son has a new 2022 C8 and loves it. I myself have driven it and love how it handles. The only problem is it’s six figures and to me that’s way to expensive!
Love the driveway, that cost as much as the Vette?
It would be foolish to pay those highly inflated prices for a corvette when MSRP is around 70k.
@@diznutz5110
I’ll wait a few years and get a slightly used one and save huge……..Hopefully 👍🏼
@@wasntme3651 But you don't get the $100K+ new car smell.
@@citydrums7525
I can get that for free by going to the dealer and sitting in a new car whenever I want 😉
Wow, 20 corvettes? I had an 81 C3 with the 4 speed trans. Loved it. I am full of envy. Good for you man.
It's been an amazing run. I can't believe it myself.
Loved the video and was a vet owner with the C5 anniversary vet. my wife who never thought of owning a vet fell in love with it. I gave it up before coming to Florida from NH as I learned the drivers here in Florida are not up to the standard of drivers in NH. I don't expect to ever own one again but will always admire the American Vet, what a driving machine !!!
Your driveway is beautiful Robert! 😎👍🏼👍🏼
Great video! I have a 2021 c8 and love it!! It’s amazing to drive. Thank you!!
I just picked up my 2023 C8 after 15 months of waiting. OMG it’s the best vette ever. I’ve owned stingrays and Z06’s but this an amazing car!!
Enjoyed the video. I still have my C7 ZO6. Not sure about my next car. I still love that driveway pattern. Thanks again.
Yet another great video Bob! I share your sentiments exactly about my 2021 C8. Unfortunately I am a snow bird and my C8 is sitting in my garage in Florida while I am in Michigan. The good news is that I will be back to the sunshine state the first week of October. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I can’t wait to get back to take her for a ride. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks! Appreciate your comments. I used to be a snowbird and I remember being excited to get back to Florida too!
Beautiful Corvette. I enjoy my ‘91 ZR1 with only 9k miles. I love that 80s/90s look of the corvette. Great video!!
Your kind of review is definitely worth more than all the popular car reviewers out there. This is a real Corvette aficionado.
Appreciate the comment! Thanks!
Awesome video, thank you! Love the stripes you put on, makes the vehicle stand out!
Thanks Ken.
Thanks Bob, Enjoyed the beginning with a little bit of a new angle than I'm used to seeing.
When viewing earlier videos it seems like traffic moves along at a pretty good clip there.
Thanks again for sharing....Jim
I sped up the clip so the traffic looks very quick. Fortunately it is nowhere near that speed !
Great video Bob! I'm always excited to watch your videos as they come out. I am 1024 on the list with MacMulkin and your videos really give me a lot of insight and preparation for when my car comes in. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I've bought a couple of Corvettes from MacMulkin. Great dealership. Appreciate your comments.
@@greenrush4313 I'm #3 on the Z06 list at my local dealer here in FL. Probably MIGHT see the car SOMETIME next year...MAYBE!!
Another great video, very informative. Your descriptions are very helpful and easy to understand. Since the Zo6 seems to be a few years out I may go with the stingray.
Thanks for the comment.
Great video. I have a torch red 22 C8R and thoroughly love it. Your vehicle is beautiful....my C7 was a white Z51 Ragtop and loved that was as well..
Excellent video and appreciation of these beautiful machines.
Took me forever to find smooth content that’s honest and informative regarding the C8 that I was looking for! Going thru ur other videos to see what I missed! Keep rolling 🤙🏽
Appreciate the comment.
@@RobertMacCready do u have a video of any issues you may have had with the C8?
@@illpoetic1981 Really no issues so no video. Did pick up a nail in a rear tire. I didn't buy the tire warranty, so that cost me!! That's about it. Car has been amazingly solid and a blast to drive.
@@RobertMacCready thanks for the feedback!
My Z06 was built yesterday. Should have in a couple weeks. Appreciate your video, and walk through.
🙋♂️🙌🙌Yes sir. Great breakdown and thank you for the tips. My is on the wait list right now. 🤦♂️In desperate, but is ok, I'll wait a little longer and be patient.
Just got my first vette, a '21 ...love it!
Beautiful car. I have a 2020 Z51 2lt front lift and mag ride bought it new and had only one problem it was the glovebox actuator took it back to my dealer had it fixed in 30 min. 30000km on it now
I've only watched 30 seconds, what a brilliant beginning!
Another very enjoyable vlog. Ty Bob
THANKS!!
You had me with the drone at the beginning Bob! You are very talented, cheers!
Thanks!!
Good video. I like the spec of your Vette. The stripes add a nice pop!
Paps, i like the way you review your car, direct to the point no flowery verbage and very realistic. Nice car and God bless.
Thanks!!
My Buddy in Iowa has one! Took me out in the country. Told me to jump on it…said NO! He took over and jumped on it! Wow…what fun!
We picked up our Arctic White 2023 3LT HTC non Z51, front lift, mag ride, performance exhaust, carbon flash top, nacelles, mirrors, low spoiler, wheels, red calipers, black exhaust tips, and the same color interior as yours. We put 2,205 miles, it had 5 miles on it when we picked it up, in the 2 months before having to park it for the winter. This is our second Vette, first was a 2008 convertible, and it is the best vehicle I have ever driven in my 64 years behind the wheel. It does everything extremely well and is very comfortable doing it. We will never track it and it is capable of more performance than I would feel comfortable trying to achieve. Good video.
Nice!!! You'll have many miles of smiles with that beautiful care. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
Lovely video! Love the color! I am waiting for my ordered victor racing wing to complete the fierce look.
Mr. MacCready: Thank you so much for your time and I reaaly appreciate it. You are the best***** God Bless You and yours
Not a GM guy, not a Corvette guy (usually), but have to say the C8 blows my mind.
Really loved your breakdown of all the features from the perspective of a true Corvette guy that's owned a few. Means a lot more than the hype. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks! I appreciate your comment!
This is what Ford could have done with the FGT, but they wanted to act like Ferrari. Glad GM went this route and made the world's best dollar for dollar sports car.
You have first class content. With great info. Thank you .God Bless
Thanks for your kind words.
The last Corvette that I had was a 1982 collectors Corvette when I was in high school and going to college. It made sense for me to own one at that age.
Great information! Love your breakdown.... you just added a new subscribe, sir!!!
Thanks!!
We have a 2014 C7 Corvette stingray 2LT that we’ve had since it was brand new and we love it. It’s like driving a go cart that is super maneuverable. We also have a 2006 LS2 Pontiac GTO six speed that is so fun to drive as well. We also have a 2021 Challenger R/T scat pack widebody shaker that is a blast to drive as well. Love the spec you chose on your 2020 Corvette C8. By the way you have a beautiful home as well.
I can’t wait to get my hands on a 2023 C8 Z06 as well.
My first Corvette was a 1965 convertible w/factory air conditioning and a two speed powerglide. The car was eight years old when I bought it a couple years out of high school. Traded in a Karman Ghia convertible for it. Had Vette a few years and sold it for $1,800 and thought I was doing well. Yes, I still kick myself for selling. You car is beautifully spec'ed out. Love the color combo and the stripe. Very well done sir! Have my eye on a new convertible now, would be my retirement present to myself ;-)
My first Corvette was a '66 and, like you, should have tucked it away somewhere.
A C8 Convertible would be sweet. That top is fun to see in operation.
Still can't convince myself to give up my 2017 black rose ZO6...I don't track it but enjoy the exhilrating performance. Nice review Robert!
The paint is gorgeous
Can you imagine having to wait for up to 3 years for your previous corvettes. This is so frustrating waiting. Like I said great video.
Good day; thank you for the content; take care !
Thanks for your comment.
I probably won’t ever own that car but being an enthusiast you have shown me things I can chat about with owners of this amazing car
I see the 2023 edition just did a 10.5 1/4 mile time
Thank you
Thanks! Appreciate your comment!! And there has to be another 50hp in a tune (except, you cannot access the car's computer right now and it would void your warranty)
I believe he is talking about The Z06 version that has 670hp
Color scheme reminds me of the classic GT 40. Looks great!
Great Vid Robert! I'm excited to get my 2021 C8 Z-51 Convertible, it's Silver Flare w/black & Adrenaline Red interior w/Red stitching. Watching these videos are helping me prepare for ownership! Thank you "SUBSCRIBED"
Thank You!
Great information !
Thank You !
You're welcome.
I think that is a beautiful car. Thanks for sharing.
"Hire a chiropractor to fix your spine" after placing your phone in the console charger. Now that was funny!
I don't twist like I used to. 😄
Mine is getting PPF. I pick it up Thursday, 10-6-22. Cannot wait!!!
Your gonna love it!!
I am enjoying mines almost a month having it and I agree the wireless charging is awkward spot 😆.. the handling omg top notch even at some nice speeds.. the music system omg just explosive... love the sound of the engine. Still learning the car though and everything it's capable of doing...
Did you purchase two corvettes? I'm not sure if I'm following you correctly, you said "mines"? Do you mean singular or double? Or do you mean coal mines? Diamond mines?
No doubt the C8 is a fabulous car but it has not yet convinced me to give up my 2017 black rose ZO6!
So you are not ready to go slower?
Hi Robert,
One thing I noticed about the driving modes is that with Z mode, Sport mode and Track modes they will not stay active after a power cycle. The car always starts in Touring mode. But when you are in My mode it will stay until you have selected another mode. So if you have an aggressive exaust setting it will start up with it and sounds very good compared to Touring. Just something I've noticed.
That's correct and good points. Z mode does shut off when you turn off the car. My Mode will retain your settings but it defaults back to touring. I'm going to pin your post so that it's up on top. Thanks again for your input.
I would like it better if it defaulted back to the drive mode you were in before using Zmode. Zmode is usually only something I use temporarily cause it’s like a jet in after-burn and afterburners glowing means you’re burning a lot of fuel....
Great Video!!
NICE BACK YARD
⛳🏌️♂️
And someone else takes care of the back yard too...😃
Your the best, keep it up.
Hi Robert, I really enjoyed your video and also like the color combination on your C8 I agree with you the stripe looks great normally I just like a clean solid paint scheme but the stripe combination on yours really adds to the overall appearance of the car. I've been following the progression of the 2023 ZO6 and I am disappointed in GM allowing dealerships to sell them so far above MSRP. I currently own a 2006 ZO6 and some day hope to own a C8.
Agree!
sweet car, I order my 2023 last year Z51 this will be my 4th covette I owned , C4, C6, C7 . I still have my C6 which I love , I didn't like the fact that the trans shifter stuck and park . I traded my c7 zo6 for my new 2023 C8 . be safe always , Go Navy
Enjoyed watching your video.
Thanks!!
Those stripes look nice on it! The only big thing i would change on a C8 would be analog gauges and that trans dip stick would be nice.
Very nice looking machine, and I can't wait for the Givaway!😉👍
If the channel gets big enough, I'll be happy to give away all kinds of things, including new cars. Should be able to write them off. Not sure why some of the big channels don't do it. Give back to the subs that support ya.
@@RobertMacCready well, I was just having my fun when I made the comment. But good for you if you can get things running on all cylinders to where you can afford to do such things.😎👍
Amazing how the drone can hover like that -- would be cool on the water.
Beautiful Vette! Also love what you’ve done with your driveway. Looks awesome. I should be taking delivery of my 2024 2LT in July. Build date is June 10.
That should be a very exciting experience for you. The car is amazing. Many miles of smiles for you for sure.
Nice informative video Sir!
Thank You!
Love my 2020 Z51 Stingray. The car is absolutely radical.
The car is absolutely beautiful and that color combination with red stripes takes the car into a different level.
Thanks!
I saw a white '22 today in downtown Cortez Colorado. Made me herny just looking at it. Hubba, hubba!
Good video, Bob.
Thanks Brian!
Very well integrated stripe in the overall scheme 👍🏻
Thanks!!
I have a 3LT HTC without Z51 2021 and I love it. I live in Chicago area and do not drive it to work and have 31K miles. I just drive LOL before it get time to put it up for the winter.
Beautiful car! Looks great 👍
Thank you, Alex.
I had a problem waiting for a year. But I think things are going to get better soon.
Glad you like your R8 and I bet it is an awesome car with all the drive modes and electric stuff. and the stripe. I still like my ´69
'66 was my very 1st Corvette. Loved it and hated it.
Hi Robert, we must be kindred spirits because everything you mentioned in this video resonates with me. I’ve had my C8 for about a year now and it is just amazing. I agree it’s the most planted car of all the Corvettes and I’ve had about a half dozen going back to C4. I agree it is by far the best Corvette yet. Now I will admit that there is a part of me that misses the C7 Z06. It was a raw, brutish, old fashion hot rod wrapped up in all sorts of tech. It was a monster and I loved it. But this C8 is still far superior. It saddens me that Zora didn’t live to see this car in production, as he had tried for most of his career to get this project done.
Yup, I think we're on the same page Michael.
Great video!
Thanks!!
I’m just seeing this Video on Sept 29th and Florida just got smashed by Hurricane Ian causing catastrophic damage. I hope this guy’s ok
Yes, we got lucky. No high winds and not a lot of rain. I tell people that are moving to FL to stay away from the west and east coasts. I live about in the center and by the time the hurricane gets to me it's a tropical storm. But when I want to go to the Gulf coast or the Atlantic, I'm about 1 hour away.
@@RobertMacCready Glad to hear your ok. Yes living in the middle of Florida is Smart. Either coast line is not far away and no chance of any kind of storm surge can affect you there. I feel so bad for the People in Fort Meyers, Naples, Marco Island. So beautiful there and they have been so lucky for so long until now. So much damage. I lived in Coral Gables for 10 years in the late 60s into the 70s as my father was in the Coast Guard. Absolutely loved it. Oh by the way love the Corvette too really nice and I bet it’s a blast to drive. We’ll be carful and be safe, Hurricane season ain’t over yet.
Yeah that intro on point.
Our 2006 Dodge Magnum didn't have a dip stick either. I can relate to what your saying.
Bob, please tell us about some of the older or earlier Vettes you owned in the past. Any C2s or other early interesting ones? Maybe even do a video about your past loves if you have some photos of your former Corvettes?
Great videos as always and please keep them up!
Good idea. I might just do a video on it and also tell how GM (borrowed) my idea of painted calipers back in the days of the C5. Got a good story of my 92 and how my autocrossing career almost never got started or how Mike Joy (NASCAR announcer) and I used my car as the Pace Car for SCCA championship races at New Hampshire International Speedway.
Anyway, I've had 55+ years of Corvette ownership starting in 1966. So, I've owned every generation but the 1st one. The early ones were not so great. I started autox'ing with my 92' and did it for 20+ years. (with a bunch or track days and time trials thrown in for fun). Also, I thought it was interesting that I bought my 20th Corvette in the year 2020. The years were: 66, 69, 73, 76, 78 Silver Anniversary, 81, 84, 86, 89, 92, 95, 97, 2000, 2002 Z06, 2006 Z06, 2008 Z06, 2012 Z06, 2015, 2017 Z06, 2020.

Yup, she's a babe!!
Hi Robert, I’m a first time subscriber and I love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them. I’m also about to become a first time Corvette owner and looking forward to buying a 2023 Z06. Growing up my favorite Corvette was the 1982 Cross-Fire Injection model. It was my first love so to speak of Corvettes. I’ve heard that the 1982 model was not very good but nevertheless you know how first loves go - I love the car. Could you share pictures of yours and your thoughts about it since you’ve owned so many. Sincerely, Darrell
Hi Darrell, Yes I plan to shoot a video about the differences between the 2020 and the 2022. I find new things every day. Had a 86' and 88'. They were fun cars but nothing like what your getting. Saw a couple driving around the dealership at Stingray Chevy. They sound amazing.
I always admired Vettes since the first one I saw as a kid, I was 8 or 9, long black Stingray. But having ridden in a few, they looked better than they rode for sure. I never had an urge to consider getting one. Well, the C8 has changed that, in a huge way.
Chevy is terrible right now, I'm 14 months in on a truck order and still no clue when it might happen. My rep told me I could get a new C8 faster than an HD. I've been saying, lets get my truck and then we'll talk about that. The 23's have been given a huge makeover.
Great overview! and good suggestions on the options.
Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
That driveway is badass!!
Guys that did the job were amazing!!
saving upfor a new c8 3lt so i can get all the options thanks for the videos man!
ps: nice flags haha ;)
Yup, having fun with the flags.
Great color mix on your vett, didn't think I would like the strip, but yours I do like it adds a nice touch
I see your in Florida hopefully you weren't in the Ian storm, I live in Dania Beach
We just got a tropical storm. Never lost power. No downed trees. All our utilities are underground here in The Villages.
I really didn't care for the factory stripes but these are just like the stripes on the factory racing C8 Corvette. And vettestripes.com are great to work with, and they use quality materials too.
Great car. Not a Corvette guy really, but I do love the C6 generation.
X mode sounds incredible! I’d have it in a mode all the time! Lol
Nice car good honest look and I like the red stripe kudos that the wife lived
Good info - Thx! What is that nice jazz recording u played at the beginning & end??
Love music and have a membership with Epidemic Sound. They have loads of great music.
