- In this video, you will see the pedestrian warning on the new Ford Puma in action. In theory the system works up to over 60 kph, but for safety reasons, we kept it at 45 kph max. Have fun watching. We test this safely here, so you do not have to! Do not try this yourself.

Finally a video of this in action and people willing to try this (sorry 😅) because those animated videos don't give a realistic idea
Yeah, that's true. I am still looking for a way to test the normal collision warning (for cars) as well :)
As always 👍
The Guy driving must be crazy
Not only the Driver hon
In the first failed attempt, doesn't pressing on the gas override the system, or will the alert at least display?
real, pogU
Quite an accurate description
How know if this work in my car? Help me please
Well that depends on you car. A good idea is always to check you optional extras. Look what optional extras you car has. Depending on the brand it has a different name, but typically something like "driving assistant" "assistant package" or something similar.
The newer your car, the better your chances.
What car do you have? And when was it built?
@@robertmuller-uri7370 my car its a ford puma st line(2020)
@@GiselleLimaS2 then it depends on the equipped options. Ford has a "driver assistance pack". It probably offers some active safety features as standard, but the proper ones come if your car is equipped with the driver assistance pack.
A good hint is always whether there is a camera behind the windscreen (where the rear view mirror is). That however is just a hint, not proof that your car is equipped with that.
Second option, enter you car settings (either infotainment system settings, or settings via steering wheel) then go to driver assistance and see if there is something called "pre-collision assist" or something similar ;).
Hope that helps
well if you go above 45km/h you're done. This sort of technology works at low speeds only.
Almost true. As you can see, for example from euro ncap test, this system works up to approx. 60 kph.
Braking for other vehicles works at even higher speeds.
lol
Bad car
Can you add that assistance pack later , after purchase?
Unfortunately not, because the car needs to be equipped with the sensors.
