A bit of rope doesn't pack up if it gets too wet or hot, and the only "updates" it'll ever need is replacement when it's knackered!
When I worked on the farm,I always carried a ball of string in my pocket,you never knew when you had to make a temporarily repair on something.

Just seen a NH big baler and a bale trailer go past "10-45pm" here in North Lincolnshire, must be a bit drier here. Top tip for stand legs, mark a line / ^ so that you can see how far out it needs to be for the holes to line up.

Nice video olly that front rake seems so handy and doesn’t seem to be heavy on the front linkage nice bit of kit interesting to see how all the different bits of kit go on and off the tractors

We used one for turning straw till the 80’s. People used to smirk at it til, they saw it working. Being land drive was the biggest problem, no way to deal with shunts and lumps plus combine cuts got bigger. So glad they have been re engineered and made a comeback

Good stuff for bedding is osr straw, good for cleaning cattle up. you loose a lot if you have to turn it though
