  • Welcome to this quite surprising Ford Puma ST Performance Pack in Mean Green presently for sale with www.hothatches.co.uk
This car shares it’s underpinnings with the awesome Fiesta ST-3 which means it’s going to be great! To ensure the Puma ST feels as agile as the smaller Fiesta hatch, it also benefits from faster- acting steering, stiffer suspension, beefier anti-roll bars, an optional mechanical limited-slip differential (which this one has) and some very grippy Michelin tyres.
Under the bonnet sits the very punchy 1.5 3 cylinder turbo that divided the crowd when first announced but you must try it to believe it! 62mph is dealt with in 6.7 seconds and it keeps pulling to a licence loosing 137mph! This car can pick fights with cars way above it’s price range, surely it’s to good to be true...
Join me for a test drive to find out! 😳👌👍

Had my ST Puma since October. Got it in Grey Matter as I didn’t want to stand out. They now have Fords own performance seat in my opinion are far more comfortable.

Oh never knew about the other seat option chap. Sounds good as I rated those on the mean green machine 👌

How are you liking the Puma ST?
I got the mk8.5 Fiesta ST a few months back that shares the same 1.5 engine, along with the same interior and new ford performance seats, fantastic car.

Pick mine up in a few weeks, after 15 minutes in it that was it. Cannot wait an ice age for a new one so managed to pick up a 71 plate with just over 5K on the clock with the performance pack and recaro's which I have always been a fan of, Really great review

I can’t wait to get rid of my gold edition Puma ST. Poor build quality, mechanical issues at 2k miles, rattling door cards, parcel shelf falling off etc

    Now..a Puma ST though!😂👍🏻👌🏻.

Owned one since August, I have the same Mean Green Colour. Overall its a great car, Boot space is HUGE, rear seats (for kids in my case) more than adequate. Heated steering wheel, seats, wing mirrors and windscreen plus a wireless charger as standard, oh and a subwoofer in the boot!. Brilliant fun to drive, 200bhp just about enough power. Hanldles very good too. The only negative I would throw in is the build quality of the interior, its mostly good actually, just after a few months of ownership now it has rattling door cards which is annoying.

That’s the B&O system… sound proofing is poor… plastic is poor..
I think the quality has gone downhill since the Mk7 Fiesta.. made in Romania apparently.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm very conflicted with this car but only on a conceptual level.
It looks great fun and seems to fulfill everything a practical small fun car should be.
I just dont understand why it needs to be a 'suv' and sit that high. I'm obviously in the minority though as the fiesta is out and the puma is in 🤷🏼‍♂️

All the advantages of a suv without the disadvantages of something like the V8 Landcruiser.

Ford's sales figures would indicate that SUV's/crossovers are all the rage, hence the blue oval's decision to can the Fiesta.

I was fortunate to be able to Test drive one, i was really looking forward to it. The only issue is i had driven to the test drive in my zc32s swift sport and the ST wasn't as good or engaging to drive. The only pro was it had a big boot for a performance suv. Will stick the swift for a bit longer and see if these pumas are reliable and revisit the option next year.

The 1.0 ecoboost has a 'wet' cambelt. The 1.5 ecoboost does not (as is the case here). Do your own research and you will see the reasons why the 1.0 has more of a reputation than the 1.5.

I have a Puma ST and its a fantastic car. Didn't go for green as it could be a theft magnet. Great to drive and it keeps me away from those over priced, not so cheap to run boring electric things.

@Musica The latest Ford's have a new anti theft 'motion's key fob that disables the car. On recent tests, they were unable to steal the car. Its not impossible I'm sure but apparently, it's one of the best systems.
