Seems the crowd does not know who build the foundations for festivals such as Waken...Europe is one the bands that laid to foundation of new age metal which Wacken is about these days...but love the solo of this song, takes me places just listening to it till now from when I was kid...
Europe are a imo really underrated hard rock band, especially with their recent material, not only the (while great) slightly too soft, poppy hymns from back in the day, like this one here
To be honest, tehy were much more hard rock back in the 80s (if we don't count "Out of This World"). Albums like Wings of Tomorrow, Europe & Final Countdown were very rocky, and even had some metal on them too ;)
With the key change to match Joey's changing voice I think it sounds awesome! Much harder than the original studio version which is pretty cool too for the sound back in that day, I like this version

( foi o que conclui vendo e ouvindo todos os comentários e vídeos- já que não sabia deles naquela época. ) E que deveriam ter seguido o som dos primeiros álbuns deles( 1983 e 1984) ainda bem que voltaram para o caminho onde nunca devia ter saído.
That album was slmost perfect IMO! One of my fav albums. Every song was great, one of the few I could listen to every song! I can't say that for but a handful of albums.

Superstitious is a great song, a real step up from the bit-too-generic Final Countdown, and the guitarist really picked up his game. I can't excape the feeling though that they're not really having fun up there. It's all quite tame. Could be that they must be going on sixty these days. [sighs] Man, I feel old now.
@@peterdefrankrijkerstudio version guitar work is Kee Marcelo who was in the band for a while after John norum left then John came back and this is him playing the part ,doing an awesome job ,I like John's tone better it's more bluesy, soulful. Kee Marcelo is an absolute monster Shredder though, awesome in his own right for sure

I bet it's tough for him to find a nice balance between the older material and the War of Kings/Walk the Earth songs. He seems to be channeling his love for Dio these days. Definitely gives this song a different feel with the vocal delivery and lower tuning.
@@Lanisteelerocks I haven't heard any of the new stuff from Europe at all. The last Europe cd or cassette even that I have heard was "Prisoners in Paradise". So, I had that and "The final countdown". I am in the US, so, you have to really look for new music from Europe, (the geographical europe) because here, the music is mostly Rap, hip hop, pop, country and a bit of rock. The radio stations here mostly play anything BUT hard rock or metal. Maybe 1 or 2 stations will play rock. The song does still sound good, I was just used him singing a bit softer, BUT, it is live, NOT playing the original version back in the 80's. Plus, Joey looks really good for his age, not like many old rock stars, who tend to be "bloated" from drug and booze use over many years.

Solid solo by Norum, considering that his not a "guitar sprinter" but more of a feeling blues player and that he keeps his guitar hanging way too low. Give this guy a break finally, even Marcello couldn't play this solo accurately live sometimes.

Joey seems to be singing less "softly" than he once did, and, it has made this song suffer for it.
