  • We had the amazing opportunity to demo a 410 Johndeere 8rx.
    So huge thanks to South Plains Implement for letting us have this demo.

    "Those old 8420s we had back in the day" haha I had a old 6030 open cab back in the day. Disking 1500 acres in the Louisiana heat. Wow what a difference a generation makes. Cool video though

    I just love to see big tractor my family owns 2 sugarcane harvester but we don't have big tractor bcz there are less company who sell big tractor sad

    When you harvest the peanuts, can the discarded plants be used for anything, like livestock feed?

      Yes we bale the straw and leaves that come out the back of the combine for livestock feed

      I believe this one was set to 38” spacing so it would barely work for our 36” rows

    Watched your peanut harvest video, how do you keep animals from eating them??

      Normally you don’t get many animals eating your peanuts and if there are there’s nothing you can do about it. The only pests are wild pigs but even then it’s takes quite a few days for them to smell it so basically it rare

    What is the purpose of having twin wheels on just the rear, as opposed to having twin wheels on both the rear and front? 😊

      All depends on how much traction you want. But there are also some equipment that are very wide but don’t require traction so you just put on rear duals to keep the tractor and equipment more level

      We’ve thought about it but we don’t know if we really want one since we regularly drive on roads, And people say that’s not good for tracks

    We spread our We eat out before we plow up our peanuts and after we plow them up and pick them it starts growing Rent A stock chopper to do the same thing with your cotton

      Yea a neighbor of ours does that with his peanuts. But majority of our cotton acres will be plowed to make ready for peanuts. If we would do cotton on cotton we would plant wheat and later use a stalk cutter

    I believe that much hp should be on an articulate tractor - 410 hp is a lot for a tractor like this - my opinion - Price tag $500,000 - wow

      For us around here it works really well. We like the row crop tractors. A 9rx series wouldn’t work as good as this 8rx series but I agree crazy expensive

      This machine cost around $520,000 and I wouldn’t really know about the return on investment but would think it would be good

      The Tractor would need to take the Place of 2 wheel tractors to get a return, as in pulling a bigger tool more efficiently.

      No I haven’t found any glitches but it has good battery until I try to do a 2 hour long time lapse then it drains about twice as fast. But other than that love it no complaints

    🦜au - they where farming peanuts in top tropics Qld Australia (Straya we say ) & wud loose crops yeilds due to tropic storms Anyway . . .
    they bought land in middle OZ Near alice springs HOT useless land . texas is a bit the same
    they did the big circle crops with Bore water boom sprays & got better yields over the years no bad weather
