At first I wasn't a big fan of the 8RX but it's really grown on me and it definitely takes fixed frame tractors to another level. Very nice set up. Enjoy hearing the operators point of view as well. Thanks Jason👍🏻. GO BTP 💪
Same. The first time I saw the 8RX was when Millenial Farmer demoed one. I thought it looked so weird and I had serious doubts that it would be popular. Fast forward a couple of years to today and it has become quite popular, and also one of the most bada** looking tractors ever.
I have to say I cannot think of a better planter tractor on the market today. In the video you can see how the tracks just glide through dips and wash outs in the field. It’s smooths riding and nibble. It’s raining a bunch this week but I have an 8RX 370 lined up to film with the new 1,000 gallon fender fertilizer tanks planting corn.
Matthew the 8RX is sure a stand out. The 8RX was announced by John Deere on October 29, 2019. On October 30, 2019 my local dealer Hutson Inc called me and said you should come out and see what we have in the shop. It was exciting to walk in the dealer shop and see a pre-production Demo 8RX 370 Signature Edition sitting there. It was a cold foggy evening but I got to test drive tractor and film it to share on RUclips Dane day. It was neat just driving it. The video of the drive around from 10/30/19 is posted at ruclips.net/video/YZUPAzzA3P4/видео.html
@bigtractorpower Sweet, looking forward to it Jason.😊
I thought the 8RX was the coolest looking tractor when it first came out😂
That is the Cadillac of tractors... wish i had one.
The 8RX is a nice tractor for sure.
Bless you bro
Thank you for watching.
thats a very nice outfit, thanks for showing.
The 8RX is a stand out in corn planting. Thank you for watching.
That’s a great looking setup. We’ll be planting corn here in a week or so
Very cool. I hope you have a good planting season. . It has been on and off again here. A few farms started in mid March but unfortunately rainy weather has delayed planting this week.
Aqui É do Brasil mais essa plantadeira nem ta mechendo a terra
The setting here is beautiful and looks good and I'm glad to see them working here! 👍👍👍
Great video. Thank you.
Thank you for watching. 8RX tractors are nice tractors.
We run a 8rx 410with the exactrate tanks, and a 8rx 410 with yen 360 yield center tanks, and 2 2022 exactrate 1775nt exact emerge
I plant my corn with a 1958 John Deere 630 and a 4 row John Deere 7000 planter
You are working for yourself and not the equipment co
The simplicity of your setup is under appreciated. Yours will be functional long past the unit in the video.
@@timgulotta7595 alot cheaper to maintain also
We are supposed to start planting corn in about a week or 2 in South Central Kansas. We don't know what tractor we are using yet this year but we are gonna plant corn with a John Deere 1750 8 row planter. We would be using a John Deere 8120 but it's currently broke down and being worked on at a Praireland Partners place in Wichita, Kansas located about 25 to 30 miles NE of Conway Springs, Kansas.
Love the 8RX
We planted corn with a 7520 JD and a JD 1750 6 row planter!
Very cool.
Another good one
Thank you for watching.
Deere just released a EVT transmission for the 8RX 410 will be available in fall of 2022
Love this setup Jason.... I have to admit I'm having equipment envy... I have an old new idea planter and two row picker .. takes forever to harvest 10 acres
I would like to film a New Idea corn planter. Is yours an orange AVCO New Idea or a silver White New idea?
@@bigtractorpower it's orange . I think it's a 900..old but still works..lol
Se we
Wow! What a unit! That is an incredible combo. I have a similar setup… 1957 430S pulling a single row 25B planter. I don’t have the auto steer hooked up currently, it’s a corrupted data thing. It did do a nice plot of sweet corn though, in a minimum till scenario. 😁
Planting with an 8430 pulling a 1790 12/23 planter in corn and beans in SE Pennsylvania
Very nice planting team.
Another great video. I was wondering maybe someday if you could show the actual operation of some of these farms. It's always interesting to see and compare how one farm differs from the other like when you show your friend Billy at his huge farm working on implements. Only a suggestion young man. You do a great job showing off there tractor iron.
I love this tractor!
The 8RX series tractors are stand out machines in planting.
I really love this tractor when I filmed my vid it was just amazing to see
Man that is a seriously nice rig
I plant with a 4030 and a 6 row 30" 7000 planter. That is an awesome set up 🌽🚜
I like your 4030 and 7000 set up. I enjoy filming these modern machines but classic like yours are just awesome to see still hard at work.
1.5 million dollars worth of cutting edge machinery and there’s a row marker hanging off the side. Wow.
The farm I work for just purchased an 8RX 370 to pull their 1770nt 16 row corn planter, and we also use a 8335R to pull a 1790nt bean planter
Very nice. The 8RX is an awesome planter tractor.
What a beauty 😍 💖
Thank you for watching.
respect bro
Almost see the curvature of the Earth with that shot.
Love the drone footage
It gives a neat perspective of the machinery and field.
John Deere company remains a pioneer in the field of production and development of agricultural machinery in the world, despite competition from European companies
We may see in the near future that it will remain the first in this field, without a doubt
JD a pioneer?
Here in northern Germany JD loses a lot of customers due to bad service.
Is JD that much better in America?
Thank you for the video. I was thinking your videos this past winter did not include narration because someone was complaining for no good reason.
M bh7
That's a nice tillage setup😉👍
2x 8345r John Deere tractors with 1770 NT John Deere 60 ft planters on 30 inch rows, one is a pro drive with e-set boxes, the other one chain drives - max emerge plus. Both have their advantages. We travel about 5 to 5.5 mph. Covers a fair amount of ground in a day.
Awesome video
Thank you for watching.
Good video
Thank you for watching.
Two questions: do farmers ever let you try out driving their equipment, and do you have videos on Bit Bud KTA 525 and Big Bud 600/50?
We run a John Deere 6155r pulling a 1765 12 row 30 in planter. And new to us this year is another 12 row with split rows for planting beans. it also has center fill which will be pulled by a John Deere 7230R
Awesome planting team. Cool tractors and planters. Do you run tillage ahead of your planters?
@@bigtractorpower Yes usually a John Deere 7210R on a finisher and another 7230R doing anhydrous
Great video. Nice land. l hope l see the 8RX in Alberta this spring and the field. I have anly see the 8RX on RUclips.
The 8RX is a nice all around tractor. Built heavy duty but it is smooth and nimble. I hope you get to see one running in person.
@@bigtractorpower it is a good lookin tractor
Just as I thought, $1,000,000 getting dirty. But if you want to grow a lot of corn you need it! Great combination.
A big investment for an industrial machine. The 8RX is pricey but it is a great all around tractor for tillage, planting and grain carting.
What a rig !!👍
The 8RX is one of the nicest tractors on the market today. Thank you for watching.
Hello! What a awesome setup!
65 Massey diesel with a 2 row Pequea planter. Deere 7000 row units that Pequea puts together mainly for Amish to pull with horses.
Great vídeo Jason.
Thank you for watching.
we will be planting corn with a new 1775 24 row 30 inch on a new 8R 340 and planting beans with a new 1795 24 row 20 inch on a new 8R340 with LSW tires can’t wait to startbut we are so dry i don’t think we can start unless we get a big rain 🤞
Awesome planting team. I hope you get the rain you need.
I would like to go to Kentucky to see the size of fields and machinery etc 👍
MX270 pulling CASE IH 1200PT 16/31 planting corn and soybeans. 20 year old machines but with meticulous maintenance it still works well. Running Trimble auto steer and Precision Planting meters.
Awesome planting team. I just featured a 1245 planter this past week on the channel. A 1200 would be awesome to see with an MX270.
@@bigtractorpower stop by to film!!! I can hear it now..... "I'm here is Eastern Iowa where a Case IH MX270 is planting with a 1200PT planter......."
Awesome Video Buddy!!
Nice video👍🇬🇧
Thank you for watching. This was a neat tractor to film.
@@bigtractorpower our neighbour had one on demo last year and loved it👍
Hey there Jason, I hope you're all well and good!
"The Dream Team"
Jason, this may be your best video yet, and it may finally get you that much deserved and elusive Emmy.
The drone work was great, I especially liked the stationary shot from far above in the opening.
I've always said that your videos with no annoying music, while letting everyone hear the sounds of the machinery at work, is by far the most appealing format.
It doesn't get any better than a 8RX and a No Till DB Air Planter/Seeder when you have a whole lotta ground to cover.
The 8RX has been a smashing success for John Deere, and has undoubtedly caused many sleepless nights for the R&D departments of their competitors.
The Signature Series includes just about every option that Deere offers, which puts most luxury automobiles to shame, and it also includes those cute little lower front fender mud guards.
I hope you have a good one!
"Nothing Runs Like A Deere" 🦌👍🇺🇸
Great video Jason, I may have missed it, but is this the wide track version?
Can this planter be compatible with 2013 Claas Xerion 3800 (narrow doubles)?
Prety surr he could drive the rpm down and save fuel, I find it annoying to be honest
What is the total seed capacity with both seed hoppers ? How many aces covered before re-fill?
Dose the treads make it taller than one on wheels or2 tracks??
I do not think so. The 8R is similar in height to the 8RX.
Those are such cool tractors. I wish there were more of them in the fields. I believe we have only seen one of them, and that one was sitting at a dealers about 55 miles from us. IIRC, it was the 410 model. I can't recall seeing one in a field anywhere as of yet.Interesting that he said the 8RX rode smoother the the 8RT's they had ran. Has your friend Billy considered an 8RX at all?
Did the 94 under the door mean that was the 94th tractor of that farm
ih nice tractor where is this and what is it planting corn or soybean. big field beautiful tractor how much power is it, thanks for the video.
Western Kentucky I believe, planting corn with a 410 HP Deere tractor
Why are the tracks spaced so far out from the tractor?
can it pull a russian tank out of the mud?
I bet I could
Its an awesome tractor but I know of a used one with 200 hours that sold for $516,000...
tractor would look mean with tinted windows
It definitely would.
Seems like you are using new cameras
Same camera’s as last year. I am using a Sony and a go pro 7 and 8.
Nice but can’t imagine a tractor that cost more than a Ferrari
The price on tractors has greatly increased in the past 20 years. They have allot more power and technology.
✌️✌️✌️
Thank you Wilson.
No starter fertilizer on the planter??? That's a first.
They side dress fertilizer on later.
@@bigtractorpower Gotcha. We use to run starter on our planter. But now we apply 20 GPA with our floater the same day behind the planter and 40 GPA with side dresser after planting is complete.
How many acres plant in a day
I forgot to ask that and normally I do. Typically a DB60 or 24 row would cover 250 to 300 acres. This 36 row does not have starter fertilizer which normally needs to be refilled every 80 acres which slow things down. The extra row units will drain the seed tanks faster reducing a 250 acre refill maybe to 200 acre refills. I would say this planting team will push 300 acres plus on a good day.
what county in ky?
Fulton
great machine but after 15 years of usage it will be cost fortune to repair
It will be interesting to see where these tracked tractors end up years from now.
They most likely won’t have that tractor in 15 years larger operations keep them no more than 4-5
Won’t be if you maintain it right
Tracks on the tractor but not the planter? I'm disappointed...jk
Tracks on a planter work great in reducing compaction in the field. Unfortunately if you have allot of longer distance transport time they are not Di great. They tend to heat up after awhile on the road and require stopping to let them cool off. I have unfortunately seen some tracked planters in recent years with tracks melted to the road from over heating.
