Ooh, if you're buying fresh coconut, after you finish the juice, you can ask the vendor to cut it open for you and you can eat the flesh of the coconut. Depending on the type of coconut, the flesh can be soft like jelly or very tender.
Anyway, glad to know you have recovered and are back to exploring! Also love when you feature the various animals.

Wow, I can't believe that large Coconut only costs 25 pesos. One thing that always amazes me about the Philippines is how many stray dogs they have. The dogs always seem so chill and friendly so I guess the local people feed them and treat them well. This was an interesting video to see how far you can stretch 590 pesos in one day. The warmth and friendliness that you show the Filipino people shines through in each of your videos. Nice to see that they return the same back to you.

Usually the editing would be a list then a clip, good to see a flow of the day on what you might buy or not and the little side ones (like the coconut, which was unplanned) and you still have money left hehe (oh plus the gym, if you can do exercise in a day using what you can find somewhere like a stone for weight or whatever, you will still have a lot of money left)

Hi Miriam! I love reading stories like this, and I'm so happy that my videos have helped you in a way! Bohol is great because it is centrally located (short ferries to Siquijor, Camiguin, and Cebu City). In Bohol, if you want to see the tarsiers and Chocolate hills I would recommend staying right on the river in Loboc. I just posted a video of my stay at Loboc River Resort, from there you can do the floating river restaurant and are much closer to the tarsiers and chocolate hills... staying on the river is very quiet and peaceful! The island and dolphin tours are done from Alona Beach, but that area can be quite touristy with a lot of bars and restaurants on the beach. I heard Anda Beach is much quieter, but I haven't been up there yet, it's a bit of a drive. Thanks for following along and enjoy your trip!!

Btw, not sure if you have come across someone who can cut the whole young coconut for you and place it in a plastic bag. I’ve seen a street vendor in Quezon City do this. The extracted coconut is like a solid ball with the coconut water still inside. Using the straw to drink the water like you did but with the husk peeled off. This way, you can also easily enjoy the soft, delicious, and nutritious meat of the coconut. A very special knife made of water buffalo horn is used. It’s a sight to see. Very masterful. The minimum salary in Bohol is around 5 USD.. imagine having a family to feed... Bohol has become so expensive to live in the cost of living is similar to a metropolitan city already... Its ridiculous how corruption goes hand in hand with the prices of basic goods...

One can survive in the Philippines even for P100 daily for food. A kilo of rice can cost even less than for P40 which can last for at least 2-3 days for an average person.
