The good thing about this video is it doesn't only help foreigners from getting the best out of their money, this video also helps other local tourists to have options for visiting other places in the Philippines. Awesome video as always Jonathan!

@@travelescapesOFFICIAL it’s my pleasure indeed! You help us to promote our small business and boost the morale of Bohol which has a bad reputation of being overpriced and businessess are taking advantage of their customers/ guests especially foreigners. You show awareness to the people most likely the travellers that not all people in Bohol are like that. We are so grateful to you for doing that.

BRILLIANT COMPARISON! It's very essential to have unbiased options especially for foreigners. To experience nature & local culture, opulent bedroom is meaningless as you spend very minimal awake time there. As long as safety is maintained, inexpensive room is SMART & EFFECTIVE. its worth staying at the shangri-la mactan once before you leave the cebu area... i think they have day passes too, so you can enjoy the amenities without staying the night, if that works better. not cheap though, last time i was there it was around $250 a night and up from there...

HI Jonathan, great video showing the difference in hotel rooms depending on price. Even that nice room for $86.00 was a great deal for one night for all you got with it. A room like that in a nice resort in the USA, would probably cost about $250. a night. Even though I've seen it on video many times, it still amazes me how friendly the Filipino people are.

There are actually two Hennan resorts one called Hennan Tawala a huge building complex similar to a typical hotel and the Hennan resort on the beach with multiple pools and bars. I stayed at the resort on the beach last May for 3 days and booked thru Agoda. They seem to have better pricing. I had a massage on the beach and swam on all the pools including the one near the white beach. I also stayed at Amorita before with my daughter and family which is at the end of Alona beach and they don’t have a good beach mostly rocky. There are more high end resorts in Panglao if you can afford it.

If your on a budget then go to $7 to $10 hotel rooms but if you have money to spent to and looking for much more convenient hotels with amenities then go for $100 or more. I think it really depends on which you really need. This can also help local tourist to decide as well.

The tubig is too big, lol.
It's great that you're also showing your international audience our first class resorts here Jonathan. In case you didn't know, PH even has the most expensive island resort in the world - Banwa Private Island in Palawan. Though they cut the nightly rate from $100K to $45K in the height of the pandemic so not sure if they're still the priciest. And there are several other resorts here that are among the most expensive in the world like Balesin in Quezon Province and Amanpulo in Palawan (which just won World’s Leading Dive Resort in the World Travel Awards). A-lister Hollywood celebs are said to frequent it. I heard before that one of them is the late Robin Williams (whose ex-wife is actually half Filipina.)
Btw, those small stores you often see along the roads are called Sari-sari stores (sari-sari means various coz they sell a variety of things). And i think the chocolate porridge you saw is Champorado which is a popular breakfast food here, esp with the kiddies. :)
