Zane, I found your channel only a few days ago and was instantly hooked. I'm from NYC originally and spent 2.5 months in PH back in 2018 and still tell stories about it to this today. Best experience of my life in so many ways. Since then I have watched and rewatched most of the PH travel vlogs on RUclips with this style of filming, which always seem to bring me back. Because of you I now have so many more videos to watch of places I've been to, bring back those memories, see new interactions and input from your point of view. You've also inspired me to revisit asap. So I really appreciate it. Most of us travelers are stuck at home working jobs in the US just to save up enough money or vacation time to go back, so I applaud you for taking on these adventures. Be safe on your travels and enjoy!
Your generosity to the Filipino people is well recognized and very much appreciated, Zane. You have a very kind heart. I am so happy to see your channel grow real fast! Well deserved. 😌👍🏼
Zane , don't let the locals rip you off. Some of them are sketchy. But most of them are honest people. Watching from Seattle. Visiting El nido next spring.
I hope those scammers will always stay away from you! China has begun to recruit Western RUclipsrs to go to China to make fake videos to cover up the second epidemic. I hope you will never be deceived! Your style is very real and makes people feel comfortable. I hope you will continue to maintain your innocence and kindness! Every time I see you in a shopping mall, I want to call you the shopping mall prince, haha! You are very kind, thank you very much for sharing! 👍🥰🙏
Glad you haggle with the taxi scammers at pier. I was born in Philippines but moved when I was 4, when we went to bohol coming from cebu via the same ferry you had, they are scamming me too since I no longer speaks the dialect...so glad that you did taught them a lesson there..700 peso for a 9 minute is crazy high..good job
You have to ask the guard in the pier the tricycle terminal going to city proper of tagbilaran city, outside of pier you can find the tricycle going to tagbilaran city in less than 100 pesos, or just follow the flow of the passenger
I am travelling next week to Bohol, been there 5 times before. Its my favourite place for holidays. The food, people, beach, everything is amazing there.
You'll have a lot more fun getting a place on the beach in Anda Bohol for a night. It's not all touristy like Alona beach, and a lot cheaper and friendlier.
@zane travel sir my advice to you even us a Filipino going to tourist part of the Philippines never ride a tricycle whin in the port area or even in airport the best thing to do once you arrive go to the information service there is always a information inside regarding the fare rate becoz even us filipino most of them are over price or the best way ask the guard or just go outside the terminat but never negotiate inside specially those guys who was placards is a red flag they will charge you almost time ten the fare
Dr. José Rizal was a Filipino nationalist, intellectual, and revolutionary who played a key role in the Philippines' fight for independence from Spanish colonial rule. He is the national hero of the Philippines. The teachings and ideals of Dr. José Rizal have had a lasting impact on the Philippines' pursuit of freedom and independence, making him a symbol of national pride and heroism.
That Sugar roll is called Ensaymada, local bread in the Philippines. Bohol is more laid back and love the charm of it. Im from Cebu and I often go to Bohol for work, I always purchase my ferry ticket near the port. Tip- take note of the boats departure and arrival time in order to know when to depart from your accommodation
Yeah, Tagbilaran is known as a City of Frienship.. because it's where Spanish Captain Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and Rajah Sika Tuna sealed a friendly relationship between their nations through the Blood Compact (Sandugo).

this is what I don't understand. vloggers are experienced travellers. If you know that you will most likely be ripped off when you talk with those guys outside the port areas, or get lost in a place, stop first and ask around. Ask for assistance. or ASK the locals. Ask, ask, ask.
At piers or airports, just walk to the main road. If you have Grab, check the cost then you have an idea how much to pay at the main road where you can hail a trike or taxi.
The best way to ask for fares are your co-passengers themselves while traveling... . Especially the locals... A possibility is to ask the cheapest way to get to your next destination
Chicharon bulaklak" is a Filipino dish made from deep-fried pork intestines. In English, it is commonly referred to as "crispy pork intestines" or "pork chitterlings."
DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM SHOULD ACT ABOUT THIS ALLOWING SCAMMERS OR THOSE OFFERING CITY TOUR AT THE TERMINAL...IF THE TOURIST SAID, NO..., JUST WALK AWAY....DONT BE RUDE LIKE IN INDIA WHERE A TOURIST FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND HARRASED, THEY DONT HAVE A NICE FEEL.

Love watching your vlogs around the Philippines, it's really beautiful. It's good you dare roaming around the Philippines cities and provinces, you're a Loner Traveller, anyway there's no problem I guess because we Filipinos are kind to everyone, take care 😊
Hi Zane. I just became a new subscriber to your channel. Great 👍 video on "real life" getting around and exploring different places in the Philippines. Take care and keep up the great work.
Zane, Im from Manila and haven't been to Cebu or Bohol, but probably those cities might be using GRAB, JOYRIDE or ANGKAS taxi/ motorcycle ride over there or other cities so better download it coz surely a lot of these guys are taking advantage of the tourist especially if you don't have any filipino with you, It's a shame how lots of my kabayans are doing these to expats , I hope you guys won't be discourage coming to our country and so are other tourists and on the other hand YES filipinos are very friendly you just have to be cautious. enjoy and be safe
When you chat to local shop, cafe or also hotel staff, ask them prices of trike travel to the port or wherever, no doubt most of the time they’ll be honest. When you save hard for a holiday and on a budget people can’t seem to understand, not all vloggers are rich. People only appear shy or cover their mouth because they sometimes have to speak English which they may not use much otherwise. Also the more people you talk to show them your channel and ask them to subscribe can help it grow 😊
I hate Duma! How was Tacloban for you? I stayed there last March when it opened up 2022. I stayed at Go Hotel vi Mall ~ Seemed like it was the only Hotel w/ a room safe. 99% of the time I was @ the mall with GF ~ no big deal staying at the mall for 30 days but boring! It was really a test to see "how much I need to live in Lapu Lapu. ~had $2,000 Go Hotel over charged me $200 @ $700 vi 30 days ~ never again with Go Hotels? But I still came home with $400. even with giving GF $300 and a new $95 phone. Cebu here I come March 2024! $1500 a month all in budget vi $1K a month to live on the average?
I’ve never traveled down that area of the Philippines yet but heard lots of good travel experiences of tourists. Bohol is the friendliest province, people are so welcoming, down to earth as I can see from your vlog. Thanks Zane from taking me there. It will be in my soon travel iteneraries 😊
When you negotiate with the price, tell them right away your desired price. If you want to pay just 100 pesos, then tell them you will pay 100 pesos only. They can either agree or let you go.
Nxt time, u call in the office of the ferry and report about the booking that u plan ti cancel. If possible, u shld cancel but if not possible online u call them.
Zane, in the Philippines u need to get used to those people. Everybody have experience that so just be calm and understand them. Everytine am there i usually tell my vendors to give me a discount.
These guys in the pier are overcharging you obviously because their first impression is you are a foreigner and have lots of money.I would strongly recommend to just take a tricycle ride and you can pay a minimum fare of at least 30 pesos for 9 minutes drive and that's it...
Zane, u need to be mindful of ur cash. Me, everytime i go in the bank or ATM i get by 1 5 20$. Transportation, food etc. Early in the morning most stores don’t have a change in 500 and 1000 bills.
That`s actually a scam! Tagbilaran port to Ecotel that cost you around 100 pesos or less. I`m from Tagbilaran City and that is the big problem here people take opportunity when they know you are a tourist and it's very sad.
Why don’t any of you vloggers do research before you go somewhere? I don’t even come from there and I was mad everytime you said tagbilaran wrong😂. It took me about a month to understand most of the Tagalog language js. It’s pretty complex and a beautiful language I failed Spanish my sophomore year. You can do it. You won’t speak it fast in a month some words are like tongue twisters. And you won’t be able to understand anyone speaking too fast but with knowing a little comes a lot of value.
