It strictly has clauses against involvement in domestic politics and can be withdrawn at the discretion of the govt. Shame on you for trying to pass it off as citizenship.

      @@vsx862 Why should citizenship be a proof of loving a country. He finds advantages and convenience in foreign citizenship, that's why he has it. For one, his foreign passport helps him to travel most of the World without a visa.

      Remember, Sonia Gandhi didn't involve herself in politics for 15 years after marriage when she was still not an Indian citizen.
      Do you understand how a sovereign country like the US will deport you if you get into politics without being a citizen?

      @@vsx862 he's mentioned in previous interviews that he has family there and would like to be able to visit them easily. The OCI already offers him everything Indian citizenship does, except for voting and buying property (I think). Why does it matter to you if he doesn't have Indian citizenship if it only means he gets these few additional things? He's already doing much more meaningful work than most born and bred "Indian citizens".

    Thanks and congratulate Thapar sir for inviting a genuine kannadiga outspoken and aggressive man who has been so much vocal about eccentricities of the present polity since many years, who has not been given a damn care . Hope some like minded corporate intellectuals give him a legal, financial, moral support in his rare quest for attaining a social equality.       @VS he was born and brought up in America and graduated from America and came to India and connected with his roots unlike some eneducated unskilled actor who claims to be ultra nationalist but yet applies for Canadian citizenship and still shamelessly earns his living from India and promises to retire in Canada with all the money earned from India. Why would somebody give up their own citizenship to acquire another when their is a provision to acquire both without giving up.
