How the narrative change happened in India and Kashmir
Mughal (Invaders) became Indian and heroes of India
Mughal who followed Ghazwae Hind as per Islam became Indian
Sympathisers of Ghazwae Hind became Indian and we gave them rights equal to us and in Kashmir more than Indians
Indian gave one more fundamental rights to minority (Muslims) under article 30 which is not available to hindu india but still india follows equality in constitution
    Indian Became Kafir except Muslims
Akbar became the great/secularist as he was an Indian and not an invader and was eulogised in NCERT books and Shivaji was riduculed.
NCERT books taught who made tajmahal, qutubminar, lal quila but never taught who broke and vandalised somnath, ram mandir, and mathura/Kashi temple
Secular and socialist word introduced in constitution in the year 1975/1976 giving rise to Pseudo intellectuals like Prof Radhika Menon/Arunadhiti Roy/Medha patkar and intellectuals like Swami Dayanand riduled for writing book Satyaprakash in 1875
wrong teaching in schools that all religions are equal and not teaching about Ghazwaae Hind in Islam.
Kashmir became the place only for Muslims And kashmiri Hindus became refugee in India because India is a secular country and Hindus can stay in Kashmir only if “Asih gatsih Kasheer Bhattav bag air battehnew san ) (We want our Kashmir without Pandit males but with their women folks).
No Masjid in govt control because Masjid cannot do any wrong but every major Hindu temple under govt control as only temples can do wrong. Than 1100 Masjid in Kashmir shouted on loudspeakers on 19 jan 1990 with aim of Nizame Mustafa and shariyat as------ Allah-o- Akbar,
Pakistan ka matlab kya/ La ila ha ilallah, Islam zindabad, Pakistan zindabad raised collectively by a multitude of humans . Of Course Raliv,Tsaliv,Galiv(Convert or leave by keeping your women folk)
Every temple in india and Kashmir said from its loudspeakers " Ishwar allah tere naam "but NO masjid said " Ishwar Allah tere naam" and sided narrative started.
When I say Mughals babar/akbar/ Aurangzeb as invader than my Indian hindu and muslim friends say I need to respect sensitivity of Indian muslim
But when I say Britishers as invaders than my Indian Muslim's ,hindus and Indian christian friends do not say I need to respect sensitivity of Indian christian.
Terrorist became Kashmiri, Kashmiri became refugee and above ALL Soldier /Policeman became oppressors' and soldiers/Policeman were court martialed as oppressors and ridiculed.
Policeman and army man stone pelted and labelled as oppressors
the day you court-martial your soldier/Policeman the last line of defence, than you are completely intellectually subverted and cannot differentiate between truth and false.
Above all, the change of narrative seen on streets when more muslims(lakhs) in janaza of terrorist Yakub memon( in mumbai), and terrorist Ashraf wani,Geelani
    BUT

Karan Thapar: An interviewer who steamrolls the thought processes of the interviewee into voicing his opinion. Note the body-language - the moment his fore-finger and thumb go into Gyana Mudra mode, he has stopped listening and is zealously intent on interrupting and stating his point of view, which he does.
The solution: Give Karan the floor to expound solely on his ardent, often worthwhile, point/s of view, but without an interviewee.
For the unadulterated Romila Thappar - watch her solo presentations, where she is free to express Romila Thappar in all her wisdom and expertise
On the content of this interview: The most salient point was the statement that the task of a FREE INDIA, is to profess and to propagate the liberated, INDIGENOUS, FACTUAL, DOCUMENTED HISTORY of the Great Subcontinent and, by corollary, to rid ourselves of the “history” written and force-fed to us by brutish colonizers, whose singular intent was to strip us of our glorious dignity, in the cause of their own hegemony.
The most seminal book that exposes brutish divisive intent is “The Loss of Hindustan: The Invention of India” recently written by the Desi Historiographer, Manan Ahmed Asif, in which he demonstrates how the brutish colonized our History BEFORE they colonized us Geographically, distorting it into their blue print for the fracturing of our great country through the brutish partition of 1947.
Sadly, this servile “History” is the colonial fodder that was fed to us in High School History books even in the mid-60s, and the exaggerated version of this colonial propaganda that is masqueraded in the Índia of 2025

She is representative of the larger malaise that plagues the Indian elite. No wonder she finds herself out of place in today's India.

Romila Thapar’s insights resonate profoundly in these tumultuous times. Her critique of Modi’s India as 'too narrow' reflects a deep understanding of how history, pluralism, and intellectual freedom are being eroded under Hindutva politics. It's a tragedy to witness a nation as diverse and vibrant as ours being reduced to a monochromatic narrative that stifles dissent and critical thought. We need voices like hers to remind us of the India envisioned by our Constitution-an India inclusive of all faiths, ideas, and identities. And Romila Thapar adopted the Christian missionary outlook about the non-existence of a ‘unified religion’ in India. Only this can explain her wild postulations about Hindu Dharma in what she prefers to call the ‘pre-Islamic’ period.
Why is there no reference to Sanatana Dharma in her writing? Both the term and the system as a whole is so prominent in Indian thinking, treatises, folklore and tradition since time immemorial. Instead, there is repeated reference to some ‘Brahmin dharma’ or ‘Brahminism’ in the writings of the Marxist historians, which according to them was exploitative, cunning and full of class-selfishness.

A great interview that beautifully illustrates the elite consensus underlying the nation-building project inaugurated in 1947. Sadly--like all ideologies--it carried the seeds of its own destruction because of its silences, lies, and distortions. Regarding intermarriage between Mughals and Rajputs, how many Mughal princesses married into Rajput families? Just because Hindus and Muslims worked together doesn't mean that Hindu temples were not destroyed as acts of domination and wanton vandalism by forces bent on promoting Islamic supremacy in India. If we use Thapar's examples of Hindu-Muslim co-existence and apply them to the American case, we will end up denying the genocide of Native Americans, taking of their lands, and stamping out of their culture because some White people were tolerant and there was widespread intermarriage between Europeans and Native Americans. Looks like the secular forces/establishment has learned nothing from the clobbering it has received from the other side. It's time that materialist historiography came to terms with the lived experience, emotional and social reality, historical memory, and horrible injustices of the past. Without accounting for these, the future will be increasingly majoritarian and exclusionary--definitely not something that any right-thinking person can approve of and certainly a big setback to the nation-building project.

    • @advityat
      @advityat 2 года назад +1

Nowhere did they specifically say that temple destructions did not happen! Although I do get your point.
Another thing, some of the Muslim rulers definitely indulged in wantons acts of violence and vandalism, but were the warring Hindu kings kinder to each other and the people they invaded? Even Hindu kings vandalised each other's temples and massacred each other's populations.

@@advityat The intra-Hindu conflicts often had a different rationale and logic than the violence and oppression unleashed by the Mughals and, even worse, the Delhi Sultanate. It is very well documented and in many different texts and accounts that the purpose was to demean and demoralize the Hindus and subjugate them in the name of promoting the greater glory of Islam (e.g. Tax collectors during the Khilji period were instructed to spit into the Hindu property holders' mouths. Hindus not allowed to dress well, ride horses etc). Regarding the destruction of the temples, the example that Thapar gave was of Qutab Minar which is a particularly poor example in my view of Hindu-Muslim harmony. The entire Qutab complex was built by razing down a complex of some 30 Jain temples and their debris was used in the construction.

    • @advityat
      @advityat 2 года назад

@@dugyan Whatever the rational and logic, the outcome was often the same for the losing side. Plenty of examples of capital cities of the Chalukyas, Pallavas and Rashtrakutas all getting all but obliterated by the invading/winning side. And if memory serves me right, the beaten Yadavas joined the Delhi Sultanate force to fight the Kakatiyas. And a few centuries later, the events preceding the battle of Talikota really shows the fluidity of alliances during that period.

@@ash1m Looks like we are on our way to becoming a Pakistan anyways--notwithstanding the valiant efforts of secular historians and their political counterparts. The larger question though is: Should historical truth be sidelined or brushed under the rug in pursuit of specific social goals, no matter how lofty or noble they may be (as seems to have happened with the dominant school of historiography in India)? Or does that increase the likelihood of the truth being hijacked to serve a sectarian, exclusionary, and bigoted agenda? In the US history books were revised to include the atrocities committed by Europeans against Native Americans and Black (which the right-wing continues to fight ferociously). The RW uses the argument that teaching about past injustices and atrocities will only divide society and create social unrest.

      BUT
very few muslims in janaza of the beloved people of India Honourable President APJ Abdul kalam

She is commendable ,a clear vision, a logical thought process. a guidance to peep into our good past. Our history is beautiful broad-based, n we must be proud. Of our integrated past. Our past is a torch to remove the darkness of present

      BUT
very few muslims in janaza of the beloved people of India Honourable President APJ Abdul kalam

@@rpsh1 In the last 700 years many waves of Hindu migrations took place from Sindh and West Punjab into Gujarat, Rajasthan, Himachal, UP and Bihar during the muslim rule which no history text books show or teach but a common Hindu from these regions know. There is no ancient Hindu temple or relic left in 500 km radius of Indraprastha (Delhi) which makes no mention in any history text books. There are so many other examples. History means learning from the past and correcting it for future generations but burying true history to meet political agendas can be fatal.
