Friendly0Dan yea ur right i like the challenger new and old. I think its a beautiful car. I saw one just like this for 12k... Thats pretty cheap for what it is...
got this car as a graduation present 2014 woot!!! (used of course) cant afford a new one not with a job at publix and a single mom on a teachers salary but with some help of other family members. Have a friend who has a 2012 base charger still rather be in mine.
Leechy Livey nah if it’s a mustang/ camaro/ challenger it needs a v8. I’m with you though I’d rather have an older car with a v8 than a newer one with a smaller engine
My 2LT camaro has a heads up display (speed, song info and other messages appear on the windshield.....I've never looked down at my speedometer......a HUD will quickly spoil you), dual tone leather interior, door accent lights that glow at night and other enmities that are nice. The only two things I like about the challenger is the classic deep throaty sound and the sport pedals. Two things I wish my camaro would have.
Love the Challenger. They did some nice improvements to it for 2011 and this year too. This one sounds good but the new 392 HEMI sounds even better. haha.
the engine on the 2008-present Dodge Challenger Engine 3.5 L (214 cu in) SOHC V6 (2009-2010) 3.6 L (220 cu in) Pentastar V6 (2011-present) 5.7 L (345 cu in) HEMI V8 (2009-present) 6.1 L (370 cu in) HEMI V8 (2008-2010) 392 c.i.d. (6.4 L) HEMI V8 (2011-)
What a great vid Kyle, we had a 2010 Charger as a hire car when we were in the states and I find that it wasnt that bad and agree with your observation with the interior, looks cheap but works well, I find it funny that most of the Dodge range have the same interior, its strange that Dodge would share an all most same interior as the Charger and Avenger, and that there is a lack of steering wheel controls on a premium car. But I love the car and get alot of enjoyment watching your vids mate
Buying the 2010 dodge challenger se as a hs grad present to myself, kinda upset i dont have the extra money for the r/t or r/t classic, i love them, but the dodge challenger is just sick no matter what lol, i love this car, i hate the camaro, the old look this car brings back is so flipping amazing, i love this car and cant wait till may!
@DaKidSn1pes You're wrong in a few ways. The 5.7 Hemi was reintroduced in 2003 with 345HP in the Ram...never 325 and 340HP in the 300C, Magnum R/T, and Charger R/T. In 2009 it was revised with dual VVT and other improvements giving it 376HP in the 09 Challenger and is still 376HP for the 2011 models.
transmissions work on the principles of pressure and resistance, which all have an effect on how an engine produces power. It is common knowledge that anything hydraulic in nature requires pressure to perform the specific function. If there is pressure, then resistance will ultimately follow. Automatic transmissions rely on fluid pressure to properly engage or disengage the set of gears built in the system.
hey kyle, i see you are spending more time doing vids at your family's dealership. Thanks for that, really like it that way, unless you have to go shoot for a exotic aston martin or something lol........ keep up the good work and happy motoring
@form109 Yeah the Mustang does have a nice interior. No the Challenger isn't a top notch interior but at least Chrysler uses soft touch materials in places where there isn't leather and stitching. The SRT8 392 definitely has the nicest interior out of all the Challengers. I sat in one and it's more appealing than the others IMO, especially with the pistol grip shifter that the manual trans comes with! That's one it's highlights along with the SRT design steering wheel they put in this year.
Did you not hear what he said before he even said that? Also on the plus side at least you can replace the interior very cheaply without paying out the arse.

Hm my 2013 if I recall earlier today have a solid non plastic dash
oh man im so happy to see you listning to some good ROCK music which really does fit the car, instead of all the dubstep crap now a days. As soon as i have the money for it ill get one of these beauties as fast as possible (but rather 6,1 liter Hemi V8, with 424HP >:).
@DaKidSn1pes The Mustang had 325 hp. But, the v6 Challeneger made 250 hp, it has a 305 hp v6 now (se). The 6.1 made 425 hp, and the new 6.4 makes about 465 hp (srt8). The 5.7 makes about 385 hp (r/t).
@andrefrbk That light is the Check Tire Pressure light, most cars have them now-a-days, cold weather sets them off... My moms car did that yesterday. And if you listened to him at around 1:50, he said that the tire pressure is low due to the cold weather.
I dont see why people give others so much crap about owning an automatic. I like driving a stick (ultimately doesnt matter to me), but these autos are just as beastly. In a car like this its all about the feeling of 400 ft/lbs of torque that shoot from your foot and ass to the little kid in your head. This car is pure class...and its more than formidable as a streetfighter. Theres quite a few 4.6L GT Mustangs that dont think my RT is a slug anymore, lol.
@Replay54321 Technically its americas last muscle car because the mustang and camaro became sportscars, and with the power the challenger pulls out makes it impressive... so yes, its a beast.
Cont. The enormous amounts of pressure produce resistance on the engines flywheel, which in effect is connected to the torque converter of the automatic transmission. The torque converter is responsible for the pressure build up inside the transmission case. It is the resistance of the torque converter that bogs down the engine and giving a net loss of horsepower.
How is the leg room in the backseat though? Are your knees being squashed by the backrest of the front seats? And if the people in front move their seat forward to accommodate rear seating, will front seating comfort be compromised? Let us assume rear seat passengers are on average about 5'5'' - 5'6''.
one of my friends got one of these..while he was driving in the rain some water got into the sport air filter and the engine broke down, he waited more than 3 months to get his car fixed. what i want to say is that these cars are really beautiful but they dont stand harsh weather conditions plus the agency here offers poor services and insane prices
Nice Video, I defiantly like the Challenger, just one question though, is there an option to shift it manually? It looked like there was just a PRND on the shifter and the display on the dash. Just wondering. Thank you for the videos, I really enjoy watching them.
What is the difference with the HEMI V8 in the R/T and in the SRT-8? These are exactly the same right? I'm sorry, but I'm not really familiar with the HEMI engine... Great video also Kyle!
I like the 2015-2018 versions but man i really dig these 2008s beautiful body style the only thing i hate abt it is that it has an automatic trans if only dodge had manuals in them i still would want one tho even if its automatic i love these 2008 challengers
Yes they could have went with a different interior other than copying the charger interior but other than that it's an awesome car. Hoping to get one someday
this is something i call "a car for a man" its very good car,and i heard it has very powerful engine so...i wish to have that car a lot :DD...and nice video man good job
I personally think the styling of this car is timeless, it never gets old!
Friendly0Dan yea ur right i like the challenger new and old. I think its a beautiful car. I saw one just like this for 12k... Thats pretty cheap for what it is...
Compared to the Mustang and especially the Dodge Charger, it actually looks like a muscle car.
Itd beautiful
Big fax
I’m a mechanic we had an 07 Charger come in. I’m really liking 05, 06, 07 era Chrysler vehicles interiors and how they drive
it's really a shame that they made one of the most beautiful American car exteriors and the interior styling and quality looks like a 2003 dodge neon
I agree. Hopefully when the Chally gets a refresh this year the interior will be improved.
I completely agree
dakota21 your wish has been granted
The leather one looks much better.
I honestly like the basic looks of the 2009-2014 challenger. I think it will age better
I have a 2012 version of this and I love it. Best car ive ever had.
Those challengers are beautiful! Great video as always Kyle!
Exterior is awesome but WTF they did with interior , makes me soo upset , it's like 2002 chrysler sebring , ANYWAY its still my favorite car
I love how in depth his review was!!
My dad is buying this car for himself tomorrow and I'm so excited. I'm a huge Dodge lover and can't wait!
Hows it been so far
I love these Challengers! Great video Kyle! Nice interior and that engine especially is a beast
got this car as a graduation present 2014 woot!!! (used of course) cant afford a new one not with a job at publix and a single mom on a teachers salary but with some help of other family members. Have a friend who has a 2012 base charger still rather be in mine.
Yes I rather have an older rt than a newer v6🤣 although the newer v6 mustang's are pretty alright
Leechy Livey nah if it’s a mustang/ camaro/ challenger it needs a v8. I’m with you though I’d rather have an older car with a v8 than a newer one with a smaller engine
my favorite challenger from back in the days
just picked up my challenger r/t last week. Love everything about it, but this was a great video i checked out before i bought. thumbs up all around.
The rear of the car is awesome
Dude! GREAT VIDEO ...definitely the best BY FAR video on car review I've seen.
11:22 dream some day (rock music and a v8 rumbling in the background 😌
Why are always good songs playing when you turn on the radio in every video lol
best tour ive ever seen excellent job man
I saw one of these today in red. Looks sweet as hell in person
Very nice doge kyle! beautiful, the sound of the engine is amazing!
Personally I think all 3 of them have pretty damn good looks! I wouldn't quite narrow it down to 1 between the 3 muscle cars.
hate the look of the gauges on the interior. the rest of the car I could actually live with, would prefer red leather seats tho
Benjamin E I swear bro it's ridiculous lol
Hey I’m 15 and looking at my first car and say a maroon 2009 Dodge Challenger r/t and I’m super hyped tbh
Love the Challenger. They did some nice improvements to it for 2011 and this year too. This one sounds good but the new 392 HEMI sounds even better. haha.
the engine on the 2008-present Dodge Challenger
Engine
3.5 L (214 cu in) SOHC V6 (2009-2010)
3.6 L (220 cu in) Pentastar V6 (2011-present)
5.7 L (345 cu in) HEMI V8 (2009-present)
6.1 L (370 cu in) HEMI V8 (2008-2010)
392 c.i.d. (6.4 L) HEMI V8 (2011-)
I like the outside driving clips. Overall nice video.

blue smoke on start up ?
freaking love this car! looking to get one soon!

The benefit of the Challenger is that in a few years' time, they will be much cheaper to buy used than a new Mustang or Camaro.
Dream car!
Excellent video as usual and cool car!Keep em comin bud!
Really nice car reviews man keep it up #TeamChallenger
@DaKidSn1pes You're wrong in a few ways. The 5.7 Hemi was reintroduced in 2003 with 345HP in the Ram...never 325 and 340HP in the 300C, Magnum R/T, and Charger R/T. Thank you soooooo much for making this video... deffinatly changed my mind on the perspective.
6:20 can't go wrong with breaking benjamin. Great band, great car. what's more to ask?

At 127k 10 years later running strong!
Recommend this 11 years later 👹😎
Yes! No stupid push button start!
How much time this filming takes everyday? You seems to make many videos / day. Which is of course fantasting, keep'em coming :)
hey kyle, i see you are spending more time doing vids at your family's dealership. Thanks for that, really like it that way, unless you have to go shoot for a exotic aston martin or something lol........ keep up the good work and happy motoring

"A very solid interior." Yeah, by solid there is no padding or leather. Everything is solid plastic.
Jacob Dryja on the plus side, at least it's very easy to clean
Did you not hear what he said before he even said that? Also on the plus side at least you can replace the interior very cheaply without paying out the arse.
Hm my 2013 if I recall earlier today have a solid non plastic dash
Very nice vid. One of my favorit cars. Normally i dont like american cars, but that one is very nice. Thank you for make this. Greetz from hungary
Mopar or No Car! Awesome Video.

Very nice review, of a very sweet car, i plan on buying a SRT with the new 392 in 2012.

I used to think this car was kinda funny looking, but man, the look sure has grown on me.

Great review Kyle!
Nice and quite in the backround......love it

@1997FordProbeGT overall the redesigned chrysler, dodge, and jeep products have very high quality interiors compared to the prior models.
holy crap dude the freaking house!!! mansions!
I want one, hopefully I get one this month.
the transmission on the 2008-present Dodge Challenger
Transmission
4-speed automatic 42RLE (2009)
5-speed automatic W5A580 (2008-present)
6-speed manual Tremec TR6060 (2009-present)

great video
This is the car I am chosen to drive when I turn 16 I'm pretty sure I made a good choice
Good music taste! I wish New York had radio stations like that lol ... awesome car btw, I know what I want when I'm 17
one of my friends got one of these..while he was driving in the rain some water got into the sport air filter and the engine broke down, he waited more than 3 months to get his car fixed. what i want to say is that these cars are really beautiful but they dont stand harsh weather conditions plus the agency here offers poor services and insane prices
Perfect music for driving a Challenger at 11min 21seconds.
nice acceleration test buddy

Great video also Kyle!
amazing car! and a very good tutoriial too!
I will have this one day in the distant future...probably when these cars become "classic"
I love the Breaking Benjamin song lol. So similar yet such a difference from the upgraded versions from 2015 up
My first car.
my dream car!!
Nice Nice Nice I like the old style on this one!
Cool! Nice car, nice video.
hey how is that car in the snow, cause im intrested in it and i live in nj where the weather sucks
I would really love to see in an in depth tour of a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500, I am looking at buying one.
I would love to have e Challenger RT in black just like this.
I like the 2015-2018 versions but man i really dig these 2008s beautiful body style the only thing i hate abt it is that it has an automatic trans if only dodge had manuals in them i still would want one tho even if its automatic i love these 2008 challengers
2009 Dodge Challenger RT Start Up Sound
1:30 1:38
@Blueball0120 probably because of the sporty family car theme, its got more passenger space than its competitors and better outward visibility
Do you guys think if it's to much to have one of these for a 17 year old
Yes they could have went with a different interior other than copying the charger interior but other than that it's an awesome car. Hoping to get one someday
Technically that is the number for the Manual transmission, but yes, it does; as well as ~400-410 ft-lbs torque.
New camera?! Ok, cool!
But still no HD :( ;)
Good video though! keep up the posting man!
Since you are a challenger rt owner does this car suck or is it good and Is it FAST!!!
this is something i call "a car for a man" its very good car,and i heard it has very powerful engine so...i wish to have that car a lot :DD...and nice video man good job
Great video. Thank you.
I feel like the 2009 model looks more aggressive than the 2012 model.........lol
Maybe it's just me
There is no difference tho lmao
@Sidney Celeste ik that’s the only thing I noticed tho nothing major
I LOVE THIS CAR !!!
@HOPEKMEYER19 Correct...RT stands for Road & Track
@RolfRoyce25 the rt is a 5.7l 370 hp v8 hemi and the srt-8 is a 6.1l 425 hp and the srt-8 has bigger rims etc
wow kyle you don't know what winter is like...come to Canada lol
Songs go along with the car 🤘
You should do the dodge challenger shaker 2014 test drive review
What happened to all the snow? Is this from before the snow blizzard? The south has had more snow than us northern Ohio folks.
love the country where it's filmed
6k Miles.... And the check engine light is already on! American cars are sooo good.
andrefrbk Dude that was the tire pressure light.
Looking forward to seeing the SRT8.
