I haven’t been in your channel for a little while and look at you at over 500k subs I followed you at less than 5000. I saw you going for it and you got it, Congrats man ❤️
Wow Peter, 600K, I was right years ago.. When I said by the end of the year, you'll be at 100K.. WOW!! But I needed a refresher, I haven't really edited in a while.. Thanks man, that's outstanding you met Peter M.. 2 incredible minds.. Proud of you dude..
I just set up W,E,R for trim left, blade, trim right. WOW this is so much faster than using my Logi mouse! Such a simple recommendation but has saved me a ton of time on my current edit. Thanks!
I was using a gaming keypad with all my most used shortcuts mapped to it. It definitely sped up my editing substancially. About a year later, I realized that I hated the keys on that keypad, and then it hit me. I mapped out the shortcuts on the left side of my keyboard and I have the same, if not better result. All the most common actions are done by single keys, and I use option key as a modifier which basically adds a second layer of key shortcuts.
Peter, would you consider making a step by step follow along video on let's say key framing? You may find your subs will appreciate a deeper instructional dive into one feature at a time. Might turn out to be a nice FCPX instructional series. Thanks for the content.
Great tips!!! As a Final Cut Pro user, I really appreciate the FCP love. I was on the fence about using Resolve or Premiere, and while I might keep Resolve in my arsenal, I've decided to mainly use Final Cut Pro. So, being able to get tips from your channel is extremely helpful. Can't thank you enough!
8 minute video in 1 hour! So crazy! Great tips! Key frames are huge. Use them all the time. The new built in tracker I started using all the time as well…..but man still takes me a while to edit each RUclips video. I need to utilize the handheld shake more, good stuff!
Hi Peter, nice that you did not forget this channel :) :) Your vlogs are very superb quality but I am glad you care about these audience as well :) As always useful tips. If you could do something about your folders organization how you plan things in a FCPX I would highly appreciate. Thanks!
Your vlog talk is how I am, I record 2 to 3 hours total and break it down to about 6 to 8 minutes and honestly MOST of what is left behind isn't even in the Time order I recorded it in Editing is by far more important on the scale of video production for sure Hell I've even turned useless content into a full on story simply by effects, sounds, and splicing
7 precious minutes¡ Just perfect. I've been using FCPX for some time but when I see what you explained in this video I realise I know nothing haha. Thanks Peter!
Thanks so much, Peter especially for highlighting the value of using short key commands. I've gotten better over the years but this illustrated I can do better. Thanks again!
I did enjoy it. As you described in other videos the skill sets to produce a great video has many phases. I am trying to learn the skills that will produce a better product base on the time invest it. Editing & Story Board are in the top of that list. Thanks for your tips.

Mind explaining how you did this part or what to call this part (what type of masking)? Fist time fcp user from lumafusion and I would love to start using this masking effect.
These tips are so useful! I love using Final Cut Pro X but I do need to really improve my video skills. I will use the zoom effect and try to start working withs masks 😊
