How's the editing squad going? I'm finding it more difficult to edit with the beautiful weather haha... hbu? Follow over here --> instagram.com/markharrison4
Hi, Mark this is literally amazing video I'll try this I'm not good as you are but I'll try my best .❤💯✌🏻I have a question where did you study editing I mean do you have any degree concerning editing?
Good weather and Good stuff my friend. I was finally able to get an iMac and Final Cut Pro X and it was daunting! But thanks to your video help, it’s been an easier “ transition” to higher levels of quality edited. Good tips bro. Dig it!
No definitely no degree, I just learned by trying to workout different problems while editing, then researching, reading and watching other pros. I used to be a teacher so I figured I could easily explain it to others :)
Hey Mark - I'm editing as we speak here in the UK and it's been 6 days on a trot of 34c which I think is a record for us for consistent hot weather....anyway....need a shortcut if you know of it.....When I need to reduce a the length of a clip that has a transition on too, I spend (what feels like minutes) hovering at the bottom right hand corner of the clip for the icon for the bracket plus the film strip icon to appear. Finding that sweet spot can sometimes be frustrating....is there a short cut to get to this? Or am I just being a twit and have to put up with it. Cheers. Stuart
The amount of effort and care shows. Thanks for making these videos up, key concepts that sometimes we either don’t know about or don’t realize why we might be doing some things in a certain way.
YAY DAD for being the subject! This was super helpful! We use Premier, but this is super nice. I feel sometimes we just don't know to capture it all when we are on the run and there is so much you can do in a car ride. Thanks for sharing!
To be honest i have been watching many videos of tutorials about video transitions but this one is really mostly overall what i have been watching throughout more than 2 months of different videos ,, good job man
I laughed out loud at the tik tok transition part. Great and informative video thanks for uploading it. You charmed me into subscribing too, so well done.
Awesome video, would love to see your opinion on audio as well since you spoke about J & L cuts. I don't think enough youtubers talk about how to record and edit audio.
Great video. Very knowledgable. Thanks for not just sharing tips but the reasoning and philosophy behind them. : ) Im struggling with creating just a simple sound to go with my educational videos. Not sure if it should be like a glitch streak or a music bit.
My Mac just crashed and I don't know when I'll be able to edit again, which really sucks. But at least I can learn the theory so please keep on going man!!
Question: I downloaded Base Correction and Look Grade as plug-ins for FCPX and was told to put the transition ON TOP of my video but for some reason the transition only seems to transfer to the very beginning of my video. How can I fix this?
How do I do a transition on an image that's overtop of video? Sometimes it works, but most times the transition wants to affect the video also rather than just the image clip on top of it.
i am realy your student and i like all your tutorials thanks so much good wor keep it up. i have a question about the products of envato for me the envato effects do not work on finsl cut pro i downloaded them and unzip but no installer just like folder and not seen in the final cut effects or gerenators. and some of them they exist in final cut but when i try to work not responding. pls help me what to do

You have to manually drop them into folders in your mac finder. Just google how to install FCPX effects and generators, it's quite simple :)
