Thanks for the video. It helped a lot. The only thing I would have liked to see was the plastic holder that holds the rubber gasket on the door. I figured out I needed to put the gasket on first and then the mirror. So, all good.Thanks again.

Really nice video. Very helpful details, saved me a lot of time! I was able to change an 08' Sequoia mirror in 30min or so and would have missed a couple of these steps on my own. I had to break off the pin you mention at 6:23 because otherwise I couldn't remove the mirror.

Replaced driver side on my Sequoia Limited, is there a reset as it does not tilt, fold, etc. Passenger side works fine.

When you replaced it, did the old one work?
You will want to check the connection of the pins. Pull out the speaker plate and pull out the connector, look to see the side that has the pins, to ensure that they’re not bent. If they are not bent, reconnect it.
If that doesn’t work, I will check the fuse box to make sure you don’t have a blown up fuse somewhere.
If that’s not it, it will be some other connectors that travel through the door that may be corroded.

It worked fine, there was a crack in the housing I repaired and put back on. I’ll check the connections, if it were the fuse, wouldn’t passenger side not work as well?

To the disable the mirror, get to the part in the video where you can just unplug the mirror, power cord. That should be it. Then you can just use your hand to adjust it.
