70 year old biker here, checking in from Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. I took delivery of my 2024 Triumph Scrambler XE a couple of weeks ago. We’re about to get the build finished, but waiting on some back-ordered parts from Triumph. Right off, I want to replace the foot pegs and maybe get a tall windscreen. I am enjoying this bike so much. The power and comfort are amazing. I’m a bit daunted by all the digital technology on this bike. I’m studying the owners manual, and will get it dialed in soon. I enjoyed your ride and commentary, and will look for more of your episodes. Happy Trails!
Hello 👋 USA 🇺🇸 I like everything now with technology you find your fav settings and how you like it and like the rest of probably won’t change anything but rider modes to suit weather conditions the taller screen has made a big difference for myself and buddy I do still get some buffeting but expect that as it is a naked bike I found the triumph screen to be the best option even tho it is the most expensive option I agree with pegs I think I would like something a little wider like the off road pegs , it’s not just the USA 🇺🇸 we have a back log and long waits for parts in the uk 🇬🇧 as well Enjoy your bike you made a amazing choice welcome 🙏 to the sram family thank you for commenting and watching 🙏
I have the 2022 XC, and the technology is amazing. You’ll get used into it rather quickly don’t you worry about that. It’s so informative, and the best part is the fuel consumption details. How many miles per hour on average, how much gas you’ve consumed, and how many miles you have to go. Average gas mileage “as you ride” how about that. You open the throttle and the miles per gallon go down m, you close it a little and you can watch the numbers rise. THREE self-cancelling directional options. Manual, self cancel after so much distance and time, and the third which is really cool….quickly touch the directional lever and it flashes three times. This is got changing lanes. The other part of the third option is that it sets itself like the second option. You hit it for more that two seconds and it back to the distance setting. You’ll figure it out, it’s easy. Temperature gauge. Service interval notification. Two trip counters, which includes quite a bit, and settings to automatically reset to zero. I absolutely love this TFT display and the technology. There is a lot but once you get used to it, you’ll enjoy it. I love that it has a clock. Enjoy your new bike, and ride safe.
I'm 62 years old and returned to biking after a long lay off , tried a Scrambler 400x but soon got a showcase edition 1200xe and I'll keep it as long as I can !!
Well you definitely 👍 picked a beautiful bike to come back to thank you for watching and commenting most appreciated here’s to many more scrambler adventures 🙏
Glad i found your channel, as I've been interested in the Scrambler for ages. I had a test ride and loved it...but i also love my T7 which is perfect for me!. I think its the desire to have something a bit more classic looking, with that lovely engine rumbling along! But the T7 is a keeper, so it will be a hard one to justify..! Enjoy your Scrambler!! Cheers Steve
Firstly thank you for watching and commenting 🙏 It’s definitely a hard choice when you have a bike you love so much already in the garage and I did love my tiger 900 I just wasn’t in love with her for me the scrambler was definitely the best choice and continues to be so 👌
Weather is definitely improving but your bob on keeping the winter gear on. I did a couple of hundred miles yesterday morning in jeans and my old denim jacket. Bloody cold.
Hello, I really enjoy your videos with you and your dog. You guys make a great team I like how he complains when he gets bored and wants to ride. 😂 You might like this…..I immediately purchased a windscreen from UNIT GARAGE in Italy. $250 delivered. Might be less for you because you’re closer to Italy. Then did a lot of research on an extension windscreen to add to the top because I was sick of all the buffetting. I installed a KEMIMOTO for about $80 Let me tell how great a combination windscreen blocking these two make. The unit garage blocks the wind from your body, and KemiMoto extension you can adjust as you ride….IT REALLY MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Down for more wind when it’s hot, midway for less wind, and straight up for total comfort. I really like the straight up comfort. It’s almost like riding a good wing. I think you’d love this set up. I can make a short video if you’d like.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and for your recommendations I have definitely thought about a extension the screen is perfect for buddy but could be better for me so I will definitely look at your recommendation 🙏
That's a nice bike indeed. I really wonder what is the tankbag you used for your little buddy. I'm considering taking my boy for a spin sometimes and wonder what would work. Searched your channel but can't find any vids about it
I’ve made him a few this one is buddy pod 4 or maybe 5 lol the others have been a good size tank bag that I’ve converted ,the one on the tiger 900 is a bag star puppy bag to be fair I could get x3 buddy’s in that one ☝️ but it dose make a good touring bag and the one I now use on the scrambler is a triumph rocket 3 magnetic tank bag , my advice is just use a bag that fits your boy if you have a really good screen he should be ok if not I’d definitely get him a pair of rexspecks goggles for his eyes I have a friend called motorbike milly she has a full face helmet unfortunately buddy is just to small enjoy your adventures you definitely shouldn’t have to leave them at home just because you ride a bike 🙏 thx for watching and commenting most appreciated
I have to agree with you Lee, it's a fantastic bike, went out on a test ride on the 1200 X last Thursday when I took the other halfs monkey up for it's 600 mile service, it was really something that caught my eye, so I sat down with them & had a chat about a deal some time later in the year, I still love my Tiger 900RP, had to really think about it, the styling & handling is awesome, just one thing changed my mind & you mentioned it in this video, it's a naked bike, I have arthritis in my hands, so between the wind & no quick shifter etc I have decided to stick with my trusted steed, The Tiger, I think the other versions have cruise control and quick shifter, anyway it was a hard one, the decision has been made and slapped myself on the face to stop thinking about it 😂😅, my video of this test will be up tomorrow, gotta love wee buddy 😀, take care Lee 👍
Fantastic video, pal. I love the triumph tiger 900 and the scrambler xe. Both fantastic bikes and both on my radar. Like you say its got to tick all the boxes. The one I chose will depend on what type of riding I will be doing if its sorter blast out on a Sunday then it's the scrambler. If by some miracle I have more time and can do some trips and tours it will be the 900. 😂😂. Loving your video's as always Lee.
For us you don't show enough of the meetings with you and buddy interacting with other people just a couple of quick shots and that's it sorry mate but it's not for me anymore.
Well il definitely take that onboard and it was something I did think I was lacking so thank you for pointing it out and commenting it’s always most appreciated 🙏
@@bikerbuddy3166In contrast and as a new subscriber, I’m here for the Triumph, your roads and scenery, and especially Buddy - not conversation between riders. I can get the latter on my own. Also, I just picked up a ‘23 Scrambler XC seven months ago…love it!
