A Classic - Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! We must demand thirty seven or more riding modes. I look forward to every surly bit against overbearing UK licensing oversights and so on : ) From California ~ Ride Forever.
Nice real-world review that doesn't take itself too seriously which is appreciated. Noticed the camera work and editing has been taken to the next level. Lovely work, thank you.
One of the great things about watching the Old Man is how an apparent stereotype of the Big Bad Biker can show such good humor. I bet hes a great guy to have a beer with.
I've watched virtually every Scrambler 1200 review on RUclips, and have come back to your XC/XE reviews multiple times. I will likely be picking up an XC next week. I very much appreciate your insight. Thanks.
I bought this 2 months ago and it’s amazing. It's an all-round great bike, and I'm very satisfied with both city and long-distance driving. I know the price is enough to buy several Royal Enfield, but the excellent appearance, quality, sound, everything makes me happy. I'm 6 feet tall and I can't get both feet on the ground completely, but I can stop with stability on one foot. It goes without saying that the exhaust heat has been significantly reduced since the Euro 5 model. This bike can be said to be an adv bike in the shape of a scrambler. You can significantly increase your payload with the Unit Garage Pannier, and I am doing just that. The competitors of this bike is neither the RnineT nor the Ducati Scrambler. Comparison should be correct with africa twin, desert x, etc.
Hilarious stuff those riding mode set ups!...the tank is reminiscent of early Huskys, I like it. Glad Darcy's recovered, looking forward to his upcoming content.
Sharp bike with a unique style that draws a lot of jealousy! It appears that the comments are clueless haters ! This is an athletic bike that commands a certain amount of attention when operating! I want one !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
actually cackled at the irony alert, after watching your videos for years, it still kills me the people that can't figure out the sarcasm. that was brilliant
Love the look of this bike. I’m seriously considering this over my GS. Tours are few and far between, now. This would suit my needs, with the odd, 2/3 day tour. Great review, matey.
_"Oh dear! Somebody go get Pops! He's stuck on the bike again, messin' wiff the 'lectrics!"_ Man, that's a bu'ful bike. Man, that's a cool vid. Thanks again, S
Thanks for posting this great review. You are fast becoming my favourite reviewer. Please keep up the irony alerts as they are great. Best wishes from Australia
Good gods that's a lovely scram... Too bad there are no dealerships for Triumph, Royal Enfield, BMW, or even Indian or Harley within 150 miles of me! LOL. Oh well. Thanks again for another awesome ride-review, the production quality and honesty in your vids makes them an automatic watch when they come out.
Nice bike. Great sound. High pipes are no small feature on a scrambler. We had a 1970 Honda 450 scrambler back in 73. I like 2 modes, stop and go. Clutch, brakes and throttle offer infinite control. I also agree with you re TFT.
My god I just spit out my tea when you started with the riding modes. It REALLY feels like that! You spend more time scrolling through the menu than riding. The only riding mode should be in your right hand. Lovely review
Good review and I’m in total agreement regarding modes - too many. I’m a proponent of the KISS method - keep it simple stupid… BTW, enjoyed the Two Ronnies reference at the end of the video. Showing my age now. Cheers and safe riding. Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Great review, I got a 'non-goldline' one in Feb and currently think it's one of the best I've had (8 months later). I'm about your size, maybe a bit 😬 fatter, and find the bike fits me well. I have to disagree with you and most of the commenters, I LOVE the gold forks, they just shout out 'quality' to me, but that's OK, it's alright to have different opinions. Fantastic bike though, I commend it to the house!
Hi big fella. I am Australian and I stand 6.3 and I am 57. I`ve been riding since I was 12. So I do relate to your videos. I think that Triumph has been building their bikes in Thailand for quite a few years now. But soon they will be producing bikes from the Philippines as well. Cheers
It fits you!!! Proper size bike ... Yippee! Totally agree with you over clocks and modes. Agree with the idea of lower pipes but isn't the frame different on one side to cater for the originals ... Isn't it cut out? Would be great to be able to do and get both side luggage ... I still camp and do bike rallies... As I age, I need to take more comforts ... It would then be a competent competitor for the adventure bikes you don't like.
Best Scrambler review ever. Totally agree with wishing there was another option for the TFT but I’m going for it all the same. I’m expecting mine in just a few weeks and have a lot of backcountry exploration planned in British Columbia this riding season.
Warning, irony alert! To own a modern motorcycle, you really need two things: a son who's a computer wizard, and a wife who loves to clean things. That way, while your son is sorting out the mess you have made of the display and ride modes, you wife can clean the bike of the dirt it's covered in because of the ridiculously short front mudguard all modern bikes are fitted with. Without these two essential assets, you are limited to a Royal Enfield 350 Classic, which has no ride modes, and a mudguard that actually protects the bike.
Id rather look after the bike abit more by cleaning it a little more than ride a RE 😂 and you dont really need to faff with the rider modes that much just pick one and leave it especially if your just gonna ride it on the road
Great 'vid' , loved the humour (Motobob's underwear was priceless) as for the XE ,great bike and a whole lot of fun to ride, all it needs to make it even better is a change of exhaust, a high rise front mudguard and a tail tidy (would also be better with twin analogue clocks)
Great review as per usual. Not heard anyone mention the weird steering before. Wonder if it’s tyre pressures or incorrectly adjusted head bearing or something.
Is it totally worth it. I am back and forth on that one or the gold line. I think if I got the Mcqueen edition I would almost never go off road. I would get another bike for off road, but would LOVE the Mcqueen edition
