Today we fight two very major battles in our campaign against the Prussians. Removing these armies will open the way to central Germany and knock out the worst of Prussia's defences.

Great episode, those howitzers really seem like a high risk, very high reward option. Really effective at shattering morale and equally as effective at inflicting friendly fire loses.

Howitzers are actually super effective in bridge and fortress battle when you are attacking

I know Star forts aren’t favored, but what I loved doing. Was if I was playing defensive I would use to two skirmishers both sides stetting up spikes by the entrance. Use them to lure the enemy cavalry. Run them a bit away then pull them all in. The enemy kill their own cavalry. Or I would knowingly shot my own fort from the inside with my artillery. Create a narrow breath. So the enemy will bottle neck. Then with a Vic formation have each unit of foot on either side raining down lead onto them. While at the center very back will be my cannons firing canister shot into them. Oh and of course spikes are laid out so I can negate the enemy cav. As well.
