In today’s video my mom was teaching me how to drive, so it was kinda like a drive with me video. When I turned 16 a few months ago I got my G1 (which is like your learners permit) but I have been super busy and haven't had many chances to practice driving. I know this wasn't my very first time but I am still super new to driving and have a lot to learn. I hope you guys enjoy this video of me driving for the first time learning to drive.

Hi guys!! Thank you so much for watching, a surprising amount of people have seen this video and that's really cool! Thanks for watching and subscribing! Watching this video makes me laugh because my driving is a bit rough, haha, but I have been practicing more and improving (at least I hope I am haha) I will probably do an updated one in a few months closer to getting my actual license!
I'm curious, what type of car do you have? Aside from older cars, the PRNDL is normally in the center of the car, I've never seen a newer car with it beside the steering wheel like that.
Mandie R it’s a Mercedes b250
@@amandar273 My sister has a mercedes c class and the prndl is beside the steering wheel too. I guess its a benz thing
I see positioning was causing some doubts, this is quite common. To help with positioning set a reference point, park up near the kerb and take note of where the kerb appears, it will probably be someone near the middle of your front window, this can be your boundary. Also once parked up get out of the car to prove to yourself where you are, most are surprised when they see!
Also looking far ahead in the centre of you lane will help with positioning.
Dahlia Rudd I’m gonna drive with my mom
I just got my permit and my dad took me out yesterday, I DIDNT KNOW THE PEDALS WERE SO DAMN SENSITIVE LIKE WTFFF, I barely touch them and go like 50 mph
Kate Hola girl sameeee 😂😂 The very first time I drove was in a truck so I was used to like having to really put my foot down on the gas but in the car it’s so touchy
When I first started driving, it’s hard especially because it’s so sensitive. But you get use to it!
Nah mate it’s the brake that you press down a millimetre and it feels like you’ve hit a wall
Hubert Pumpernickel yea it can be but with me I feel that it’s more of a difference with the has
Hubert Pumpernickel and are u from Australia cuz if u r that’s so cool
My mom needs your moms calmness I can’t even turn the corner and she’s yelling 😂😂 but go Girll you driving☺️☺️
Angel Johnson same here like wtf my mom stresses me out I almost went towards the sidewalk cause she just kept yelling the whole time and I started panicking.
Fedra my mom does that too😣😣😢
Angel Johnson same thing with my mom
I used to wanna tell my mom to stfu😂 I’m good now
Girl yes that is so true i haven’t even started to move damn car and homegirl already yellin
i can see as you drive how awkward you are because you're new, but you're doing SOO much better than me when i was new. i almost got us killed TWICE lmfaooo and i had many breakdowns because i thought i'd never be able to drive good. i even refused to drive at one point because i was so scared. now i drive into the city, busy interstates, highways, curvy mountain roads, roadtrips to other states, and more. it takes time, practice, and determination. and if i did it, deadass anyone can. on god.
Salem McKenna I think I’m like you in the too scared to drive phase. I’m praying I get over this
I've overcome the first phase of fear. I'm at the point where I wanna practice a bit more and not be irresponsible.
Same here
Salem McKenna thanks I needed to to read this cause I did my first drive on the road, i was scared as shit and you have to be aware of your surrounding all the time. I have to schedule my drivers test soon but I really hope I can pass it
Salem McKenna Literally on my moms account and Idc because your comment is important and I don’t want to lose it. I’m 21 years old and I’m JUST learning how to drive because of how scared I’ve been. All my friends are driving now and I feel bad that I can’t contribute when we go places. I just now started driving on streets, I absolutely refused and stayed in neighborhoods for the longest time. Today I drove us back and forth a few times on the streets with stoplights and stuff and I finally felt like an adult, but I still can’t shake the feeling that I’m never gonna be good at this but this is the first time someone has said something that actually had some effect
"stay in your lane" " am i in my lane " 😭😭
😂😂😂
I'm the same way. The instructor warned me a few times about this and today I would have actually failed my drivers test, luckily I was only on my 15th hour. Basically what happened was I stopped the car too far on the left side leaving not enough room for the others to pass by. Luckily there was no one on the road cos it was a small village street
She looks like Joey King!! Am I the only one who sees it?!
That’s what I thought!
thats what i said!!!
Fr
I see it lol
I was gonna say that ! 😂
My mom uses her imaginary break in the passenger seat😂😂😂
Cayla McLaughlin same 😂😂😂
my dad does that 😂 but other than that he’s chill about me driving
Cayla McLaughlin mine too!! 😂😂😂
Cayla McLaughlin sameeee😂
I do that when my friend drives shes batshit crazy
I start freaking out when someone is behind me 😂
lmaooo or when i feel like i'm going to slow I feel bullied by someone behind me and i'm like ...bruh im not experienced please don't yell @ me :(
I always chewed gum it calms me and i always stayed calm
I don’t even realize when someone is behind me haha I get scared when there is no light and I have to turn around a corner I never know when to stop and when to look and stuff
Don’t get intimidated into going faster if someone is right on you, if they want they can find a way to get around
Sameee
i was like “how is this girl driving so smooth for a beginner?!” then realised she was driving an automatic 🤦♀️ i wish i didn’t have to drive a manual it’s not fun :(
I just started learning on manual as well and the first 2 days were so jerky, it’s still the third day and I’m scared and nervous still...but at least once you get manual down automatic should be a breeze
It's always better if you know how to drive a manual, because you never know when and which car you'll have to drive. Obviously you can then buy automatic, but you should always know how to drive manually.
I actually enjoy driving a manual, shifting between gears is do fun and interesting. I used to be scared of that, but it's so nice
It’s not hard
funny, people drive manuals to have fun
All these comments about everyone wishing their mom was as chill as yours when driving...I FEEL THAT😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 my mom be yelling things left and right I be sooo confused 😂
fatima ather i literally stopped 1 second too slow and my mom over here saying “you really suck at driving, idk if you’re gonna pass”
I’ve had my license for a year and six months and my mom still yells at me when she drives with me lmao, I don’t think it’ll ever change
It's funny cause I barely turned 14 this month and I went out today. For my first time I pressed the gas too fast and I went really fast. And I pressed the brake, I felt bad because my sister fell when I pressed it😂😂 I was like, "told y'all, y'all need to put your seatbelts"😂
LOL
Likeeeeee she be yelling and I'm like OK I get it when I almost don't cause it be hard to hear her clearly when she's yelling
As a person who just got their permit I can FEEL the overwhelming and intense energy in this video.
Casually learns to drive in a Mercedes when I’m learning to drive in a cardboard box
I'm just starting in a Mazda. It's a pretty nice car, small, but it'll do the job.
I learned to drive in a Toyota Camry.
i’m learning ina dodge journey it a big car
I'm leaving to drive in a Nissan NV. Big ol car.
1991 Honda Accord
Me: *starts driving*
Me:AHHHHHH
Mom:AHHHH
Mom: WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING!?
Me:I SAW THE COPS!
Mom: *jumps out and runs*
Me: MOM!
blakkbarbiie that once happened to me because I saw a white car following me and I parked and started running. They turned out to be a family friend 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😆😆😆
🤣🤣🤣
💀😭🤣🤣
My dad made me drive for the first time in very narrow roads with kids playing literally in the middle of them and kept yelling at me everytime I got something wrong with the basics.
At the end of the day I cried in my bedroom because I felt really bad🤣
GIRL SAME!! My dad is still teaching me but he be yelling all the like, does he expect me to be an expert in one day??😫it really frustrating and I be having breakdowns haha
@@aris-us3vt this is probably how my dad is gonna be😭 he wants to start off in a neighborhood
My dad was like that do but after a while I got it and now he’s kalm
My dad parked the car about 15 miles from the house and said
"Either you drive us home or you walk home."
Ah the late 90s.
Same here I don't even know how to ride a bicycle lol so the first time my dad taught me how to drive his car it was kinda stressful but i was proud that i could drive straight and even turn on the right but the same day he told me to reverse the car and i was panicking i was gonna hit stuffs lol and he kept yelling so i hold myself and got my breakdown at home and since then he didn't ask me to do another session again haha but well i'll have my theory test tomorrow and after that i'll look for a driving school
She doesn't realise how easy she is by not driving a manual
Exactly
Matts Pc Gaming can you choose what car to test drive? Manual is the one where you have to keep moving the stick right
Matts Pc Gaming Ngl i feel better with a automatic and it feels much easier
Lmao yeah. I feel like 98% of people in Canada or the USA learn to drive automatics. In Europe most people learn to drive manuals. At least in Denmark, EVERYONE (except maybe very rare cases where perhaps someone has a handicap or something) drives manuals when first learning to drive.
iMagZ z same in France, most of people drive manuel but it evolves little by little
You are exactly like me! I’m just learning to drive and I can’t figure out how far I am from the curb. Also I get so paranoid when there are cars behind or in front of me. Luckily my mum is as calm as yours.
i act just like u lmao i just got my permit and i’m so paranoid
haha its makes me so nervous!
Same I’m so nervous
Same
same!!
I got mine today and im horribly afraid of driving lmaoo
I love how calm your mom is. My dad is teaching me how to drive bc my mom would flip out 😂
my parents are both chill w/ me
@@vibrantgleam you want a gold star?
She is so pretty and looks like Rory Gilmore from Gilmore girls with blonde hair
Chloe Gilmer omg i see it now
Sounds like her too
And a lot like Joey king too
omg that’s what i was thinking
Yasss
Ik how you felt when a car would pass by ,it’s scary at first but you’ll get the hang of it !
Edithhh she does
When you showed how you parked... at least you were still in the lines. Most people cant even do that and were driving for years.
She did great her first time! I'm 27 and I just got my license yesterday. It took me a while to feel comfortable, but she'll get it!!
"You're getting so maaaaaaaad" I would actually kill to have your mother as my instructor she's so funny.
Your mom is so patient. My parents would’ve smacked me
I also have the problem with not knowing how close to the curb I am. My dad taught me to look at the mirror on the passenger side and see how close to the side I am. Then base where your car is, to where u should keep it.
This is just cute. It makes me wish I would have had someone to teach me to drive. I had to literally just teach myself. Not exaggerating either. I had to break the law and go out driving by myself once I got my permit, since nobody was ever willing to go with me. This seems like such a better time.
Girl, your reactions were the same as mine. It definitely does get better when you practice more!! Wishing you well on your L's💓
I remember learning how to drive because I took driver’s training late because of track. But I’m 7months away from getting my full license. I had to get straight onto a faster road when I was learning, it was scary, mainly getting up to speed. In a few months, you’ll look back and see ur progress. You’ll feel comfortable driving in general in no time
I had so much anxiety watching this, but she’s making progress 😂
You’re mom taught you how to drive greatly, what a lovely mom🤍
I just got my permit and started to learn how to drive. Its kind of scary, came here to see I’m not alone.
I love your mom she is so calm, while mine is screaming at me causing me to have major anxiety while driving with her 😭😭
I need my mom to be as calm as yours. Great work for basically your first time on a road
your have a cool name you have nice car to drive congrats on driving for the first time. your parking lol its okay it does take practice
For those who just got their permit, just stay calm and remember what the courses taught you. If you have a question ask the instructor.
Awe❤️ I just adore your mom! My mom was so mean while I was learning to drive, it's so awesome to see your mom laughing and actually enjoying being in the car :) this was a great video, and I hope you've got your license by now, or get it soon!
I started learning to drive today with my mum, and I totally did the whole hand pointing about which way I was supposed to turn and stopping and starting, and all I was driving was around a little island in a very quiet street 😂
Awww. It must be cute to look back on this now that you’ve been driving for 3 years.
Your so lucky ! My mom gives me anxiety attacks and nervous breakdowns for little mistakes which is why I don’t like driving with her.
No lie when I started driving someone crash Into me. And that shit had me shook for a coo months but now I'm driving again and learning.
Two years ago when I got my permit my mom tossed me the keys and told me that I’m driving home 😂 and I had never driven on the road before. I was so beyond scared and riding the white line the entire time 😂. I now have my license but my mom still tells me how to drive 😂
My first time driving I was nervous too, I would overthink on everything I was doing 😂 but the more I practiced the more I got used to it :)
I love how calm you mom is, mine was freaking out and yelling. Making me even more nervous in the hughway
I feel you!! I get so nervous and stressed when there’s someone behind me.
Every body shood learn on manual transmision because automatic is so easy
Stefan Jovanovski my Dad is teaching me both auto and manual but wants me to drive auto first to master just the basic gas, brake, and steering and when I’m really confident driving auto he’ll teach me manual. I got some practice on manual but for now it’s auto
Yeah I need to get down the basics first and I’ll be doing some Manuel
Yes!!! Learn on a manual, because automatic is just D and you're driving. Easy
Fala bogu
I’ve always learned on a manual and when I first used an automatic it was unbelievably easy. It’s definitely best to start on a manual.
for some reason this video genuinely calmed me about driving. even though she’s driving an automatic, it really eases my driving anxiety when i get my learner’s.
Great job Mom! I couldn't learn with my dad at this age. Awesome composure!
i remember the first time i drove i almost killed me and my dad i started panicking bc someone began driving behind me kind of fast on a dirt road and i sped up due to pressure and my dad kept telling me dont slow for them they can pass if they want and i panicked and tried to turn on a different road fast i remember my dad getting mad at me and i cried n we called it a day i was SOO discouraged after that and time went by before i got behind the wheel again to learn how to drive
Where can I park
Anywhere you want
Can I park there
No no no
When I taught my kids how to drive I was so scared that I carried my bible and, I’m so happy they turned out good drivers ❤️
her mom is so calm, for a mom.
I absolutely love this!! So funny to watch 😂 and I relate so much because it was my first time driving today 😂
girl I feel the exact same way as you do when a car is behind me , I START TO FREAK OUT
Why ???
Your mum is so calm, a lot calmer then my mum, i ended up just doing professional driving lessons instead 😂
Ok but. Your mom is GORGEOUS
People who struggle driving an automatic, gosh. I'd like to see you drive a manual one.
This was literally me a few days ago. My dad literally kept saying tighter turns, accelerate, and stay on our side of the road, I make so many mistakes, I suck at parking and parking for fuel
I wish my mom was as calm as your, my mom yells even when I’m doing nothing wrong she yells “CAREFUL” and I have my full license 😂
this is exactly how i am when i drive lol i always ask my mom what i should do and she’s like “i cant tell you what to do every time you’re gonna need to figure it out yourself”
I recently started driving and my mom put me on the road literally on my second day! im still shok but i made it!
I sooo wish my mum was like yours. Mine doesn't have time to accompany me, so I'm stuck with this guy who never tells me anything, just yell at me if I do something wrong. It makes me so anxious.
Wow! This mom is beyond awesomeness.
My step dad taught me how to drive alittle bit in a pt cruiser and I felt scared driving but I know I gotta keep practicing on my driving so that I can maybe get my dream car which is a Fiat Car!
Watching this it makes me want ur mom to teach me to to drive
Why can’t my mom be this chill.
My mom is chill like yours 😊 she is teaching me at the moment, the only thing i don't know how to do is park between cars bc I'm always afraid of hitting them, and i too get nervous when a car passes by
I'm supposed to get my permit next month and I'm so scared, the last time i tried driving (i was 13, 15 now) i almost crashed cos my dad kept yelling and i just like stopped functioning from panic
In the U.S., we get our learners at 15, after studying the book and taking the computer test. Then, after 1 yr. of driving, you get your license to drive. 😍 I'm 21 now. 😄
I’ve been learning to drive for a while now, I’m in the UK. But you know when your turning the steering wheel don’t cross your hands over as you’ve not got full control over the car. Every driving instructor I had has told me the same thing. Just keep it smooth but don’t let the steering wheel slip through your hands either. Just a tip no hate :)
I wish my Mom was as calm as your Mom was. My Mom would freak out and yell at me for my mistakes she thought I made. She would even hold on to handle of the passenger side door and freak out and yell at me: "Meredith, Meredith, red light, slow down, slow down, STOP STOP!!!". Then I would slam the break and stop just an inch behind the white line at the traffic light. Then my mom would yell at me and be like, "Jesus Meredith why didn't you slow down?! Didn't you see the yellow light turn red as you approached the light?! When it turns yellow that is a sign for you to start putting your foot on the break and start slowing down to come to a stop! You don't drive up to the line quickly and then slam on your breaks! What if there was a car behind you?! Would you want someone slamming into the back of your car?!" I'd be like, "I'm sorry Mom!".
I tell ya it was a lot easier learning to drive with my Dad then my Mom. Before I started to learn how to drive I thought my Mom was going to be the calm one and my Dad was going to be the impatient one. But when I started to learn to drive I quickly realized the opposite was true. My Mom was the impatient one and my Dad the calm one. Women are more emotionally charged then men when it comes to driving. Not all women but most women. Men are practical when it comes to driving. Better to learn to drive with your father or other male figure.
i just went driving for the first time the other day but in a empty parking lot, i was so scared and would freak out everytime another car was near but i hope with enough practice ill feel comfortable driving cus rn i feel like i’ll never get good😩
Your mom is so patient, I love her 🥺💖
My mom has really bad anger issues and I kind of have them too and I wish I had a mom like yours! She is so chill and relaxed. I’m so glad that my brother is going to teach me instead of my mom because I swear I feel like I would get into an accident in the matter of 30 seconds because of her yelling at me
the vibes in this makes me giggle. it’s also 4:50 in the morning and i haven’t slept yet :)
She’s literally me driving😂😂
Just remeber when your driving the car is basically you, there is no need to be nervous. ( i hooe this makes sense lmao )
You're lucky you got to drive at 16. I had to wait until I was 18 because parents. But now I can drive and I have my permit, learning to drive is super fun but also scary.
Yeah I’m 16 I have yet to get my permit I had to get a eye appointment to get my permit so it sucks but I’m excited to drive but scared
I’m 13 and I’m already learning to drive (on quiet roads). Where I live you can drive when your 14 lol. Plus your moms SO CHILL! I literally can’t move five feet before my dad yells at me for doing something wrong😂😂🤠
#1 calmest mom
Starting to drive is hard, but trust me it gets easier. I got my license 2 days ago, you got this ✌
I had my first lesson today 💛
Casey Wakes yay!! I hope it went well!
Thank you and it did thanks
I would totally act like she did. I didn’t even start drivers Ed yet but I am nervous to drive.
She was so much better than I was. I drove in a real street for the first time two weeks ago and I couldn’t even turn without messing up. She seems to be turning like it’s nothing and I’m jealous lol
I learned how to drive in a 2001 tahoe, holy hell was it hard but now I can drive any car, SUV, or truck it really makes it easy if you learn in a bigger vehicle
She reminds me of me so much like I’m 16 and still learning I panic when people are behind me and when my parents are like do this do that I get so nervous I feel you girly
Either way your driving it’s so cool like I wish when I learn to drive w my mom
Imagine that a police is behind you...while learning how to drive...😳😳😭🙏
Your mum is so cool. My dad is screaming every time i do something wrong.
In the UK we can get a provisional driving licence when we turn 16 and I'm getting mine soon, gotta say this video was the most realistic ajajah you drive amazingly!💗
quiet roaddd????? I've never gone 60 on a quiet road. Also, I live in America, idk if yall use different like miles per hour.
lmao typical american doesnt know they are the only one who use mph
Berk Altun why would I take the time to learn the measurements other countries use if I don’t live in that country lol
@@michelesommers7885 it is called common knowledge, we use metric in Turkey and I know imperal as well.Like I said typical American lmao
@Andrew Valle Exactly,I was lucky enough to teach myself english and now spanish and programming, education is key :P
I hate people like this^
Dang when I first turned 15 I got my mom to let me drive down the highway after I went down to the community across the bridge etc. Now my Dad bought me a 2013 Chevy Silverado and now I’m driving that (15 and a half now)
That was good for your first time. Keep it up 😀
*This is going to be me in like 4 yrs from now*
Wow you're doing much better than me and I'm an adult. I'm starting to learn to drive with a driving instructor
When you start driving everyday you start learning more and it gets easy 🤷🏽♀️
I just drove for the first time yesterday in an empty parking lot and I was so scared but it wasn’t as difficult as I thought
Your mom is so calm. my step dad (I hate him) took me to drive for the first time and was just yelling the whole time and talking about the radio and AC like omfggggg idc about the radio and ac 😭
I remember getting my permitt and driving for the first time and me so nervous. Now, I laugh at myself of how bad I was at driving and how nervous I was.
it makes me so happy how relatable this video and comments are 😭💀 like at least i’m not alone
I have already had my permit for 6 months and I passed my actual driving test so now I have to practice unsupervised driving for 1 year and while I still had my permit my father kept yelling and same with my mother I hate it and now I am excited to start driving alone bc they not gonna be yelling at me all the time lol
my mom already knows how aggravated she’s going to be so she told me she’s giving me over to a driving school
