Thank you so much brother, it was really great help. I was running AMD processor and VMWare, I tried installing MacOS BigSur on a virtualbox but this was my first time installing it on VMWare, I was confused tbh since it wasn't as simple as installing a Windows or Linux OS as there were fixes and patches needed to be done before even installing MacOS.. on top that, AMD Processor.. bam!!! That's where this video of yours helped me a lot, so thanks a ton once again.
Edit: It didn't work at the end, it gives an error and I get extra steps, maybe it's my device maybe Sonoma or both.. trying It again with ventura.

I tried everything and after starting my VM Apple logo shows up for around 5s and then crashes and says "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press any key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up."
After while it restarts and then exactly same thing happens... Any solution to this?
If you have AMD processor you cant VM mac anymore, apple put something that know what cpu you really have and cant fool now, the people of the Unlocker say the fix now works for Intel only

This wont work on amd well atleast for me in just shows the boot up screen with options to boot up and when i try to boot it up it wont work. Anyways to fix it?
An impressive guide - well done. Even after installing the Vmware tools - i cannot change display / resolution from within MacOS Sonoma.
I have "Display 128mb"
I can change Desktop dimensions in VMware config but MacOS Display > Screen Resolution shows unknown Display, 1024*768 (Default). If i Show all resolutions - no change.
Internet is working and I used Clover to successfully make changes configuration but cannot find a way to Screen Resolution.
Else very impressed!
BTW - Why do you choose iMacPro1.1 ? Does it have an effect of anything as I am testing this on a Lenovo Laptop

Just after the install starts (black screen w/apple logo) it switches to what looks like a mac mouse diagram). Tried changing usb port to 1,2,3 with no success.
I have the tools installed and my curser is smooth, but the rest of macOS is practically unusable. Any help?

Even after installing VM tools and giving it 6 cores and 8GB ram on a cutting edge i7-13620H CPU its still pretty slow.

It all went down very well for my until I updated the values from clover into the configuration. After I did that, the Mac failed to boot over and over so I had to reset the values in order to boot up again. Please tell me how to solve this problem. Thank you.

I was also having the problem where it would bootloop to "error your computer is restart beuase of problems", this was the fix i used for me, as a preface I AM ON AN INTEL PROCESSOR, idk if this will work for AMD. So when it boot looped i went into the config file and removed the edited SMBIOS part and then it let me boot into the OS, i then went into the clover configurator and selected the one for iMac20,2, and i copied the board-id and generated a new serial and the copied the MLB and generated that ROM just like the steps in the tutorial, then i pasted it right after firmware = "efi" in the vmx configuration file, making sure to change the mac address and the generated address just like the video. After i did that i was able to boot into it AND the new serial was shown. For example, this is what my SMBIOS looked like

It would be REALLY USEFUL if you write the specs of your machine, because it looks very smooth and even my i9 has bad performance.
Followed instructions to the letter and tried with a few ISOs, but got always the same result: after powering on, I get the apple logo and the progress bar gets stuck around 10%. After a while, VMWare players tells me it stopped due to a generic error and restarts the vm, gets stuck again and so on. Im on Win11 with Intel processor. Anybody got the same issue?

Basically same with my amd pc and a neverending reboot loop when it nears the end ~90% and it's a screen with a error message saying there was an issue. I had the same thing happen in vbox with the same ISO, stopping and rebooting at 90ish%. I'm combining things done in different videos to try and get something working. Maybe it's my windows.

All went well until I edited my vmx file and now I am stuck in a continuous loop with error "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press any key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up." When I remove the suggested edits from the vmx file, the VM boots up no problem. Does anyone know a fix?

better to use "internet download manager trial version" to download iso file, you can even pause the download

it's the boot error and you have to use a specially prepared iso image and efi binary to get it to boot on a usb boot drive.

@@sethzwicker3631 its due to low video memory, install vmware tools and try to use on minimal resolutions like 720p, it works fine, lags are due to insufficient video memory.

Where Did You Write SMBIOS ( In Description ) ? Make sure you have written it as the last code in the VMX file and that there is an empty line.

You should reduce/increase the allocated resources based on your pc specs.

@@Ammarx1 Suggest to have the ISO on a separate drive, around 12 minutes it does lag a bit and depending on your cpu it will take a bit. Open your task manager and go to your drives, if all your drives show 0% then just wait and watch and you will see incremental read/write, as long as you show that then it will work eventually
