finally got sound working after a dozen attempts it wasn't easy i have used my modified/patched efi folder with big-sur, monterey, ventura, and sonoma with sound working on all four

I had one slight issue but this was readily solved. I also used a second drive in the PC instead of a patition on the main drive. This worked flawlessly.....

Love the video, it was the easiest one i have found by far to follow, however when i get to installing macOS, the after about 10secs or so of watching the line scroll up the monitor the screen goes black and another 10secs later the monitor goes into its power save mode and a minute or so after that the machine itself goes to sleep. I have tried several times on a fresh, newly built machine with no OS installed on the drive. Any ideas as to why this happens? I have followed the video exactly but i just can't get past this point. I am running a 10th gen i5 (10400), with an MSI motherboard, 16GB of ram and a 1TB SSD. As far as my research can tell all these components should be fine for compatibility, but i just want to get some ideas on how to overcome this.

I am using an HP Z2 Tower G5 Workstation. intel core i5, 10500, the whole process was smooth. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth did not work. With Wi-Fi I'm not worried, I use the router's Ethernet port. My question, how can I update these drivers. I want to emphasize that the tutorial was excellent, step by step. The sound and video worked perfect.

Hello, I did these steps one by one. The boot menu is opened, I say install Sonoma, but after a while, the flowing texts suddenly become like a matrix screen, it appears with strange characters and a stop image in the middle. What should I do at this stage, please help.

Help! I have discovered that I seem to have the EFI partition on one drive and MacOS (only) on the second drive. How can I create an EFI partition on the drive with MacOS. I have the EFI and OC folders on the Mac desktop.... UPDATE - I decided to abandon a two disk solution and used a single SSD paritioned to run Windows and MacOS Sonoma dual boot. That meant I could follow the instructions verbatim. Note that two of the batch files need Python installed - it will prompt you to load Python if you haven't installed it already.

I managed to complete the whole process, but when I booted on my USB key, I had the 3 options, I chose the NVRAM reset, the PC restarted by scrolling through all the lines of text and then, it opens windows 11 each time? I do not know how to do ? Can you tell me how to resolve this please? THANKS

sir i'm having problem regarding circle with slash line error, a prohibitory symbol, which looks like a circle with slash through it, means that your startup disk contain a mac os, but its not a version or build of macos that your mac can use.
my solution to that is to use a different mac indentifyer For example i used MacBookPro 14,1 and didnt work because that macbook doesn't support sonoma. I used MacBookPro15,2 and it worked

Is there a RAM limitation to installing Hackintosh Sonoma on a computer? I using a Supermicro X9DAX-iF-HFT, with two Xeon E5-2697 12 core processors (Ivy Bridge) with 256GB of RAM. I get to the Opencore menu then I clear NVRAM. The computer reboots (I have it set up in BIOS to load Opencore as the first option. So it boots to the Opencore menu and by default it loads the first (RED) option. It displays about 20-30 lines of text and then reboots immediately. The system is in an endless reboot sequence, so I don't know what I may have done wrong.
In my case I do not want to dual boot Windows and MacOS. So the drive I want to install Sonoma on is GPT partitioned, but is not formatted.

After running "install macos sonoma" it gets to "12 minutes remaining". After that I get a long text log like you do, but after a reboot my only additional option is "install MacOS" which also hangs.

Are you using HDD? I'm using SSD, hence controllers in devmgmt shows Standard NVM Express Controller. I had no idea about changing this SATA thing into AHCI. I'm afraid SSD will fail and break after months by doing this.
Ahci will not damage your ssd, its a normal setting when the bios doesnt use a raid config, enjoy

I would check the format of the disk
