    I’ve watched this video a couple times now and I must say I really enjoy it. I’ve been in the tech industry for almost two decades and there’s just something about bringing older hardware back to life and giving it another purpose only to have it perform really well I just really enjoy it. Keep up the quality content!

    Thanks for your reply to the other video.
    I got myself a Fujitsu P520 E85+ with i7 4790, 16GB Ram, MSI Rx560 ITX Aero 4gb PciE powered, same PciE Adapter and NVME. I am considering a FENVI T919 Wifi, Bluetooth card(for later). This is my first ever try and have my fingers crossed, lets see if I make it work or end up burninf money. I too nervous but also excited at the same time. 😅 most likely I will try Ventura first.

      I did follow this video. Only after install, with one of the OCC, I corrected the Audio ALC ID, and using some boot mount tool, copied the EFI folder from USB Installer to hidden folder(partition) on the HDD which has Ventura. (Copied all thr folders where boot info is loaded on the hard drive partition, thus then it would boot without USB drive uninstalled).
      BTW, I added thr Fenvi wifi card later and it works without any issues. No configuration was needed. And Ram was upgraded to 32GB as well.
      Some tips, make sure that computer is connected to internet via Ethernet/Wired. Also I had mine windows drive completely disconnected physically.

    The author himself mentioned the advantages of hackintosh. Original Apple machines are outrageously expensive. In addition, as time passes, everything will be soldered on the board. You want to upgrade the hardware, it cannot. And not only that, but the components on the motherboard will be locked. In other words, there is no freedom. Which leads to the absurdity of buying expensive hardware that restricts you from improving it and adapting it to yourself. Why would you buy the same one then?

      You can definitely get a PC with similar specs on Ebay UK for the same or less money. Just avoid the fixed price listings and follow the auctions. Here are a few that ended recently.
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404480723543 - sold for £8.99
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404357824697 - Sold for £8.99

      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134742207339 - Sold for £15.00
      Any of these could run macOS.
      MacOS Ventura and Sonoma need AVX2, which your i7-3770 doesn't have, and also macOS doesn't support Nvidia GPU's, only AMD. But you could still put together a similar build to this for £50-£60 or thereabouts that would run Sonoma and edit video very well.

      HP, Dell, Lenovo - all are hackintoshable. The only reason I chose this Fujitsu was that it happened to be cheap at the time I was looking on Ebay. There's nothing special about it that makes it more hackintoshable than any other brand, so just pick whatever PC is cheapest. The only drawback with the SFF PC's is the inability to add a graphics card, which I why I tend to prefer the mini tower systems.

Something at how the molding can be difficult with how close together the SATA pins are when laid out. I want to say this is why SATA power cables you see on power supplies are angled or perpendicular to the connector.

      To get working AirDrop you'll need a WiFi/Bluetooth card that uses the same Broadcom chipset that's used in real Macs. People most commonly use the Fenvi T919, which you can find on Amazon or Ebay, but any BCM94360-based card should work out of the box in Ventura.
      Apple dropped support for the Broadcom card in Sonoma, so if you install Sonoma you'll have to run OpenCore Legacy Patcher after installation to get WiFi/Bluetooth back.

      Yes. You could make that into a hackintosh that would be a video and photo editing beast. The 5700 XT is about 50% faster than the M3 Pro.
      One thing I'd change is the SSD. WD drives play better with macOS than Samsung. Swap out the 970 EVO for an SN770 or SN850X and you have a killer hackintosh build.

    I have the same CPU and intel HD graphic running on Ventura, if I add an RX 560, what I need to do? Only changing the SMBios to iMac Pro or anything else ?

    • @BartechTV
      @BartechTV  10 месяцев назад +2

      You don't have to change the SMBIOS to iMac Pro.
      You could leave the iGPU enabled in the BIOS, use a regular iMac SMBIOS, and change the device-id for the iGPU to a "headless" one. If you do this, macOS will use the dedicated RX 560 for the display and use the iGPU for Quicksync video decoding, just like a real iMac.
      Or, you can disable the iGPU completely and use an iMac Pro or Mac Pro SMBIOS in which case MacOS uses the DGPU for everything, like on a real iMac Pro. In this case, you'd delete everything iGPU-related under device properties since there's no iGPU to patch.
      So, it's up to you which approach you want. I found video encoding / decoding to be faster using the DGPU so I chose the second method.

    • @SuryaTechie

      Boa tarde. Não sei falar ou escrever espanhol, mas vou responder em português.
      O BIOS dos computadores antigos não reconhecem SSD NVMe, então é necessário ter OpenCore instalado num SSD SATA ou um USB, junto com o driver NVMe do OpenCore "NvmExpressDxe.efi", dentro da pasta EFI/OC/Drivers.
      Assim, o computador inicializar desde o USB ou SSD SATA, e OpenCore carrega seus próprios drivers nvme, permitindo que você selecione a unidade nvme no instalador do Windows ou macOS.

    • @BartechTV
      @BartechTV  11 месяцев назад +1

      The PCI slot and BIOS will support anything. PCIe 4 cards will still work in PCIe 3 and PCIe 2 slots. You could put a 4090 in there if you wanted to. The problem is that premade desktops like this have a proprietary, low wattage power supply with no GPU power connectors. You can't even replace the PSU with an ATX one since they don't follow the ATX standard - the motherboard power connectors are proprietary. I was able to use a SATA to 6-pin adapter in this case, and it worked because the RX 460 card only pulls a very small amount of power from the 6-pin connector.
      But power hungry cards wouldn't work unless you powered them separately, perhaps by using a separate PSU outside the case.

      Usually Apple supports Mac models for 5 years with OS updates. The last Intel Macs were released in 2020, so it's likely that macOS 16 next year will be the last to include Intel support, with macOS 17 in 2026 being ARM only. However Apple still provides security updates for another 2 years after support is dropped, so Intel Macs (and therefore hackintoshes) will likely still be able to run a currently supported version of macOS until 2028.
