Thank you so much for this - it just worked after wasting weeks trying to follow the opencore guides and no one explaining anything properly. Super happy!! Thanks again!

Fantastic guide! My daily driver laptop is an old Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 2 that I made into a hackintosh running 10.15.7. It's been running solid as a hackintosh for over two years now. I really do love MacOS and the Apple ecosystem. My laptop is starting to show its age so I have been considering building an affordable desktop hackintosh. I think I just found my guide! Fantastic job! 😁
@Cristian Barcaru Because newer models using Apple Silicon and with Apple Silicon (without Parallels etc) some tasks (especially gaming) aren't that great for price/performance expect.
I've had the same hackintosh I built 10 years ago and I can't take it any further than Mojave, so it's time I got my OS situation updated. I subscribe to Adobe for Photoshop and Lightroom and right now, I'm stuck with paying for a subscription that I can't upgrade anymore. This sounds like a perfect build and I've ordered parts today. The only difference I've made is 32GB's of RAM and the SSD is 512 GB's. Looking forward to an easy build and thank you very much for sharing this with us. All the details needed appear to be there.
I bought almost the same components you use here and got it up and running yesterday. I'm a photographer and I play guitar a lot. For both of those activities I demand a bit from my computers and so far it seems this one is hitting the mark for me. I was concerned about underbuilding, but those concerns are dissipating. My old hackintosh had a 3rd gen i7 and here I'm at a 10th gen i3. For guitar, playing live into recording software, latency is always an issue, but so far my buffer size is surprisingly low. The one thing I missed in this build is bluetooth. I got the FenviT919, which set up wifi easily, bluetooth requires a connection to a USB 9 pin port on the board, but it's already in use( there's only one). I think my solution is going to be a dongle. I just want it so I can use my keyboard without hooking it up to USB. Thanks for the great video. On another note, my editor for my photography lives in Lisbon. I believe you're in Portugal, yes?
I'm glad you found the video useful. macOS runs remarkably well even on lower end hardware like a Core i3. I also missed not having bluetooth, in a previous build I was using an Asus Bluetooth dongle which allowed me to connect an Apple magic keyboard and magic mouse. It's possible to get an internal USB hub, which plugs into the motherboard 9-pin USB header and gives you multiple 9-pin headers. For example the AC-IUSBH-M3 from NZXT or the CC-9310002-WW from Corsair. Yes, I moved to Portugal several years ago, I live in the north near Porto. It's a beautiful country.
That’s a super awesome video, thank you for making it. The only thing I’d say is that I’d really like to see a bit more info on how to modify versions settings for those of us with different CPU’s and graphics cards… . And if you could eventually, I’d also really love to see an amd processor build hackintosh, given the price to performance ratio of those CPU’s these days.
Thank you. It would be great if it could. Unfortunately, the first Framework notebooks were released with an 11th gen CPU, and macOS only supports iGPU's on processors up to 10th gen. So, although there's no reason macOS couldn't be installed and boot, it would only run in VESA mode with limited VRAM and without any graphics acceleration at all.
Hi, I was just wondering if you could give me a bit of guidance. I wasn't able to get the exact parts that you listed but I think I got the closest available equalivents: I was just curious if you see anything wrong with this list, for building the hackintosh with Ventura as you've so outlined in this video: MSI B450M-A PRO MAX (MAJ Ryzen 3XXX) 1 69€99 Intel Core i3-10105 (3.7 GHz) 1 124€99 DDR4 Kingston Fury Beast - 32 Go (2 x 16 Go) 3200 MHz - CAS 16 1 94€99 Crucial P3 500 Go 2 (i want to dual boot windows and mac) 75€98 Cooler Master MasterBox MB520 TG ARGB - Blanc 1 124€99 FSP Hydro M PRO 600W 1 79€99 I understand if it's too much work to verify. Either way I wanted to thank you, so thanks!
And sorry but I was wondering as well, would the two 500gb ssd's be sufficient to dual boot windows and mac? And is it okay to have 32 Go of Ram instead of 16? You mentioned a 64gb max, but I wanted to be sure. I promise, that's all my questions, thanks again!
@@avi7278 hi. Your motherboard is for AMD (Ryzen) CPU. if you want to use Intel CPU you need a motherboard that's supports this particular generation of CPUs. Just Google "motherboard for Intel i3 10105" (you need motherboard that's supports LGA1200) Other parts looks good to go. I would suggest to get more storage, maybe another 250g ssd, or single 1tb ssd.
Hi Avi, The B450M motherboard you listed is only suitable for Ryzen CPU's, so it won't work with your Intel Core i3. For Intel 10th Gen you need a motherboard based on Intel H410, H470, or Z490 chipsets. The Intel equivalent of the motherboard you listed is the MSI Z490-A PRO. This board costs around €120 to €130 new here in Europe and would work perfectly. The i3-10105 CPU is fine - it's the same one I used. For around €30 more you could step up to an i5-10400 which would give you an extra 2 cores and about 30% faster multicore performance. Just be sure to avoid CPU's ending in "F" as they have no integrated graphics. The Kingston Fury Beast RAM will work fine. The performance difference between 16GB and 32GB is quite small, though, so personally I would go with 2 x 8GB modules for 16GB total. The MSI Z490-A PRO has 4 memory slots so you can add another 2 x 8GB modules later for 32GB total if you find yourself needing more. The 2 Crucial NVMe drives should work well, an alternative would be the Western Digital SN750. The SN750 is around the same price, perhaps a little more, but has better write performance and higher endurance. The PSU is fine too. So, here's my list of what I would choose - Motherboard: MSI Z490-A PRO CPU: Intel Core i3-10105 or Intel Core i5-10400 RAM: 2 x 8GB DDR4 Kingston Fury Beast (16GB total) SSD: 2 x WD SN750 500Gb (one for Windows and one for macOS) If you have any more questions let me know.
Yes, two 500GB drives would be more than sufficient to boot Windows and macOS - even current entry-level M2 Macs only ship with 256GB drives. 32GB of RAM is fine but as I mentioned in the other comment, the actual performance difference between 16GB and 32GB is very small in practice. You probably would even notice any improvement in most tasks. I would just get 16GB to begin with and then you can add another two modules at a later date if you find yourself running out of RAM.
Just wanted to add to this, I followed the updated advice for components above and went for the msi z490 motherboard but I didn’t notice that it’s a larger form factor, standard atx, so it doesn’t fit in the mini atx case from the original build in the video. May be obvious to some but just thought I’d mention. Need to find a bigger case now!
Few days ago I buy Patriot P210 256gb and he had Yeestrore controller and Micron 64 layer QLC memory chip. Year ago this SSD have SMI chip and TLC memory. And fan on back side blow inside case? Maybe better blow outside case?
Thanks for all your help. I was successfully able to run Ventura with i5-13600KF/B660M/RX 5700. The last thing I would like to do is transition from the USB and boot from the internal SDD. It seems possible according to sources out there, but I was curious to know how you approached it/ would approach it.
You just need to copy the contents of the EFI partition from the USB to the EFI partition on your SSD, as shown at 11:12 in the video. Then you can remove the USB and boot straight from your SSD.
holy crap, this is incredible. I had no idea this was even a thing. Who would've thought that Apple is selling overpriced hardware!? No but seriously, I'm going to be doing this build. My 2020 MBP which costed like 1600 euros has only 8 gb of ram and it thoroughly pisses me off every day. Since I love mac OS though, I was about to buy a new machine for close to 3K euros. The thing is I also really like Windows and Linux. Being able to tri book MacOs, Windows and Arch would be a dream come true. Why hasn't I heard about this before. On top of that, I can save my MBP for when I actually need it.. traveling and whatnot. Thanks! I'll let you know how I get on.
Over priced? You can buy a M2 Mac Mini for $599 USD. There’s not many PC’s that can even touch that performance for less than a couple grand. MacBook Air M1 is $999 and M2 $1199. Apple is a bargain in some areas. And M2 can edit 4k videos flawlessly. Much better than this $300 Hakintosh.
All item listed now on my cart and i have ordered the first three items at the top. Will notify you bro once i start to assemble and install the macos.
2/20: I was able to finally write to this EFI folder, I use Clover to mount the drive and copy and paste the folder. Then, I use Open core to edit the config file and other options. Something is wrong with OpenCore nothing been able to mount but clover in conjunction with Open Core worked. Now, I get a stinky blinking cursor when booting to this flash drive. 2/19: EFI folder says read only permissions. Cant copy paste
Hi, again. I just made a identical configuration just like you did. Please , can you upload your usb image with all instalation because i only have a windows .Thxxxxxxxy
I have two questions. 1. What if I can't arrange an existing mac to create bootable mac drive and running commands? 2. If I get the latest generation chipset, ram, and an external GPU, will the steps be the accurate same? Or some changes in process.
1. You can just use a PC. Download the MacOS install disk image from Apple and write it to your USB drive using Balena Etcher (www.balena.io/etcher) Mount the EFI partition using command line, by doing the following... - Open command prompt - type "diskpart" - type "list disk" and look for your USB drive - type "select disk x" (where x=your USB drive] - type "list partition" and look for your EFI partition - type "select partition x" (where x=your EFI partition) - type "assign letter = E:" - mounts the EFI partition on your PC and assigns it the drive letter E, so you can open it, and copy your EFI folder / edit the plist etc. The config.plist is just a text file, so you can edit it using any plist editor for Windows or in notepad. 2. On the Olarila site, download the right EFI for the CPU architecture you're using - ie. Comet Lake for 10th gen, Rocket Lake for 11th gen, Alder Lake for 12th or 13th gen. If your CPU is 11th, 12th or 13th gen then you need to use a fake CPU id, which the Olarila EFI will take care of. You'll still have to ascertain what audio chipset you have and use the right audio layout. You can see a list of supported codecs and the layout id to use at github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/wiki/Supported-codecs. Determine which Ethernet controller your motherboard has and delete whatever kexts you don't need from the kexts folder and from the config.plist. Don't get an eGPU if you're making a hackintosh. Just plug the GPU directly into a PCIe X16 slot on the motherboard. MacOS Ventura has drivers for RX 560, RX 570, RX 5700 XT, RX 6600, RX 6600 XT, RX 6800 XT, RX 6900 XT so they'll work out of the box. Just make sure you have Lilu and Whatevergreen kexts up to date.
@@BartechTV Hey dude, just wanted to say that I really appreciate you helping everyone out in the comments with extra info to make things work for them. It's a rare thing to see nowadays!
You should also be able to go itx for a little more on the mobo, and slip the whole thing inside an inwin b1 mesh, or a gamemax violin. They come with a psu and are the same price as your case and psu, but small enough to put in a lunchbox.
Hi, I have just built a system and followed your instructions to build the flash boot drive. It starts to boot from the flash drive then goes through a whole lot of stuff for a few minutes then the screen goes blank and nothing more. I have double checked that igfxonln=1 ! Any ideas or help would be appreciated. My set up is I-5 10400 processor, Gigabyte H410M board, Patriot NVME M2 drive. Thanks
@@tanveerchoudhry613 Hi, I did the same, but after setup also it requires -igfxvesa to give screen, does not work with gpu acceleration, did it work for you
I've already upgraded from Ventura 13 to 13.1. I updated OpenCore, and updated the kexts to the latest versions. Then downloaded the update from the app store and did the update like a real Mac.
I started with 2 hackintosh and now I own a Mac mini, iPad and iPhone. It certainly was the cheapest way running macOS, because both pcs came right from the trash. The first one was thrown out by a company I had business with, they told me to just take it and the other one was laying in a trash bin. The first one was a bit involved, because the cpu and integrated gpu wasn’t supported and I had to get a dedicated gpu and a separate pcie usb3 card to get useful performance and io. The other one had a slightly newer cpu and worked out of the box with no configuration at all, even usb 3. As I didn’t have a Mac, I had to create my boot usb from windows. There is a script (gibmacos or something), but it forced me to use clover as the open core option was broken.
Don’t worry, there are guides for everything and you don’t need a real Mac or hackintosh. You can setup a Virtual Machine and use that to build your boot stick
I already have a Mac mini and ordered a new gaming PC. I was looking for a way to get the Mac operating system on this new PC and switch back into windows for gaming. Will def use this!
VirtualSMC.kext - required for the hackintosh to boot. AppleALC.kext - required for audio. WhateverGreen.kext - required for graphics. Lilu.kext - required for the above kexts to work since they're Lilu plugins. As for the rest, you need to look at what hardware is on your motherboard to decide which kexts you need and which you don't. For example, my motherboard has Intel ethernet, so I don't need the two Realtek ethernet kexts nor the Atheros ethernet kexts, so I delete them. I have no WiFi or Bluetooth, so I delete AirportBrxmFixup. I leave IntelMausi.kext since I have Intel ethernet.
@@BartechTV thanks! that makes sense. i've been googling around and every article i found, just says google more. 🙄 is there some consolidated list of kexts that explain what names go with what hardware?
What do you think about the Mac Pro (2013) as a alternative? It’s getting cheaper (like $275 on USA marketplace) and it’s upgradable parts like ram and SSD. Unfortunately not gpu upgradeable… but I guess building a hackintosh has it benefits like upgradeable gpu and ddr4 ram slots!
I loved the design of the 2013 Mac Pro, but the problem is that to run Ventura you have to use OpenCore Legacy Patcher, and even then, there's no CPU power management and no DRM support. When you add in the need for ECC RAM, the Apple-specific SSD interface, and the inability to use standard graphics cards, I think for the money a hackintosh is a better choice.
3:25 Random 4k @ 469MB write and 57MB read? I don't know, something seems wrong with that test. My Sabrent Rocket Q (gen 3) can only do 154MB write. Outside of Intel Optane, I've never seen speeds that high.
True. Looking at the Amorphous DiskMark FAQ, it mentions that users may see inconsistent 4K random write speeds due to the 5 second time limit on that test. "The five-second measurement duration time limit was added to ADM2.5 in order to avoid the impractically lengthy 4K read/write measurement time (many minutes and hours) on inherently slow hard drives, to avoid unnecessary writes on SSDs, and to be consistent with CrystalDiskMark, you may get different or inconsistent random 4K write speed results. The random 4K write result could be faster, slower, or about the same with the five-second limit. I suspect that this is due to how the write cache on the SSD device itself behaves."
hello and thanks for the great video. I want to make a hackintosh now and I realized that the motherboard is no longer available. In your opinion, an MSI could always be fine but with the H610 chipset .. such as the H610M-E for example. I await your news, thanks again.
Hi Marco, If you're using an H610 chipset motherboard, then you'll have a 12th or 13th gen CPU. The integrated UHD 7x0 graphics on 12th and 13th gen Intel CPU's aren't supported in macOS, so you need a dedicated graphics card. macOS Ventura and Sonoma support Polaris cards like the RX 560 / 570 / 580, Navi 5000 and 6000 cards like the RX 5600 XT, 5700 XT, 6600 XT, 6800 XT and 6900 XT. The cheapest GPU natively supported by Sonoma is the RX 460, which you can buy for 30 - 40 Euros used.
@@BartechTV thank you for your answer, you have been very clear. I was able to create a hackintosh like yours because luckily I had an ASUS motherboard with the 410 chipset. At this point, if I want to make others, I'd better look for motherboards with that chipset because it's much cheaper than implementing a video card. Thanks again.
Thank you for the video. 🙂 1. Can you use the DVI port from the MB to connect a second screen? 2. Is the playback in FCPX smooth + without sound delays etc.?
1. Yes. 2. Yes, as long as you don't go crazy with overlaying multiple layers and effects - it is only a UHD 630 iGPU, after all. If you get a dedicated GPU then it is obviously a lot more powerful.
Hello again, works like a charm but, what wifi and bluetooth card to use...I would preferably like a wifi/bluetooth PCIe card but haven't find anything good yet! Was using a little usb dongle on my Mojave build but does not work on Ventura!
every time I look at the nox hummer zero, it's sold out... been sold out/out of stock for 2 years now, and on top of that the price tag is always around 100! where'd you get it, amazon?
I got it from PCDiga last year, but it's out of stock there now. It's still in stock at Exiscom for €39,80 - www.exiscom.pt/index.php?route=product%2Fproduct&product_id=7106 It's been discontinued by Nox (www.nox-xtreme.com/en/chassis/hummer-zero) so that's why it's mostly out of stock everywhere now. It's a really nice case, it's a shame they discontinued it.
Hi! Thanks for the nice and Clean Hackintosh guide and installation system. But I have a Question. What to do when I add a Graphics Card. Do I need to change the kexts or Plist? Please make a video on that
Hey loved the build and detailed guide here planning for the similar build for a Hackintosh. Wanted to know if the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are working as well
This motherboard has no Bluetooth or WiFi, only Ethernet, which works. You can add a PCIe BT/WiFi board like the Fenvi T919 or a BCM94360CD from a real Mac with a PCIe adapter to get native WiFi and Bluetooth with full handoff / continuity support.
@@BartechTV I don't have the pc build but I followed all the steps and I was able to get the Hackintosh to work. However I don't have an option for wifi even though my laptop has a wireless wifi receiver. What should I do? I don't want to use ethernet. Thanks for the guide though, would not have been able to get Hackintosh without you. also im not sure if it makes any difference but when I was choosing the model of the Mac I noticed it said 3ghz cpu when my cpu is 1.6 ghz. not sure if that's a problem also my trackpad isn't working for some reason (they keyboard is)
Glad that someone did an entry-level, economical Hackintosh build. I think this baremetal is better than any of the ProxmoxVE based builds. Does this setup have audio fully working i.e. for both audio-input and audio-output ? I wanted a Hackintosh only for Garageband, and the past experience with virtualized Hackintosh didn't permit that. Oh and one more question, do you think that this method might work with a slightly older i5-8400 (which has only 6 cores and 6 threads), which has the same IGP (UDH630) ? I have it on a MSI H310M PRO-VDH motherboard with 16GB 2400MHz RAM, and a SATA SSD of 240GB. Would this require some changes in the OpenCore Configurator stage ?
Hi. Thanks for the great, and very informative video! I have one question, can you please tell me, can you use programs made for M1computers with this Hackintosh PC? Dose new aplications all works on both processors? Intel and M1 silicon chips? I have never used mac Os before, even I use PC computers for more than 25 years. I am in search for new PC and for the first time I considered mayby get Mac Mini M2 pro, but but now after watching your great video, I will be definitely interested in some Hackintosh build. One more question? What keyboard is that ? Sorry on my bad English.
Hi, Mac applications are distributed as universal binaries, so they run on both Intel and ARM. Intel machines still count for more than half of the Macs in daily use so it's unlikely that a company would release programs that only run on ARM for at least a few more years. The keyboard is a Redragon K617-RGB - you can find it on Amazon.
Hi there, great video thank you! I have a question: can you use this method and do dual boot with Windows 11? I saw you turned secure boot off? Also how would you go about it?
I'm making a video showing the full steps, but the basic process is... 1. Install macOS as shown in this video. 2. Remove the macOS drive from the PC. 3. Boot from a Windows 11 installer USB and install Windows to a second drive. 4. Replace the macOS drive, and set it as the first boot device in BIOS. 5. Boot the computer. OpenCore will automatically find the Windows drive and allow you to select which drive you want to boot from so you can boot into macOS or Windows.
Yes, High Sierra using Nvidia's Web drivers. Apple hasn't made a Mac with Nvidia graphics for a decade. AMD Polaris / RX 5xxx / 6xxx / XT cards work out of the box.
Great video. This is great for someone with some parts lying around that want to get Mac experience cheap. Would upgrading to 32gb of RAM and or an i6 or i7 processor necessitate other steps?
Thanks a lot for this video sir.. I have made the same computer as you suggested in this video... It would be great if you could also tell me that for wifi and Bluetooth which card should I use that can be fit on M.2 slot for the same motherboard! Kindly reply sir... Regards and best wishes.
Great video, thanks for putting it together, unfortunately the processor and motherboard are no longer available on amazon. I don't want to get something that is incompatible, so now I'm stuck.
Thank you for the video. Please help. It seems apple has changed the "Check Coverage" page. I've been trying for a while, but only seem to get either a non-valid serial or an already purchased one, and haven't had luck with "We're sorry, we're unable to check coverage for this serial number...." Do I just keep trying?
That's weird, I just tried it now and had the same message as you . I assume it's a temporary issue with the Apple website, as it's been working for the last 8 years at least.
You could leave the serial completely blank if you want to, it would still work. It comes down to functionality. I use an iPhone, and with a valid serial, and both my iPhone and hackintosh logged into the same account, I can use iMessage, answer phone calls from my Hackintosh desktop, use FindMy, and my Hackintosh shows up on my Apple account under my devices. Without a valid serial this isn't possible.
Great guide! Worked flawlessly with my hardware. I'm looking to install an RX 5500 XT into my build. How do I go about changing the boot argument to get the card to work? Also is hardware acceleration enabled by default? Thanks in advance.
You need to open your config.plist in OpenCore Auxiliary Tools or Opencore Configurator, then go to the NVRAM section (as shown at 8:40 in the video). Select the third hexadecimal number down on the left, and in the boot args section add agdpmod=pikera next to boot-args. Then save and you should be good to go. You'll have hardware acceleration straight away using the native drivers in macOS.
I have a spare 6600XT and Ryzen 1600, would I be able to use the Ryzen chip without issues in an OpenCore Ventura Hackintosh? Seems simple and too good to be true, are there any drawbacks?? I have no need for iMessage/AirDrop etc, just to use the Mac OS. Thanks!
Yes you can run macOS Ventura. It’s a little more complicated than with Intel, but not difficult. Many people are running Ventura on a Ryzentosh. I’ll be making a video about this in future. Drawbacks… Apple misses out on your money? But I think they’ll survive.
@@BartechTV Awesome, thanks, I am subscribed and will look forward to your Ryzentosh video! 👍 EDIT: Thanks to your guide for inspiring me, today I compiled an EFI and successfully installed Ventura on my Ryzen 5600 + B350 + RX 6600 system!
The 10400f has no iGPU, so you'll need a graphics card. The 10400 will work just like the i3-10105 in this video, but about 15% faster multicore performance.
I'm currently triple booting (Windows and 2 Linux distributions on 3 separate SSDs) and have wondered about replacing a Linux install with macOS. What's the compatibility like for AMD hardware? I have a Ryzen 7 2700X and GPU is an RX 580, with 16gb of ram. Motherboard is an MSI B450 Tomahawk.
For the most part, AMD hackintoshes are almost fully functional, but VM's don't work because of missing instructions, and Adobe apps have compatibility problems. Your GPU should work out of the box as it's supported in Ventura. You can take a look at the official OpenCore install guide for Ryzen and Threadripper at dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/AMD/zen.html#starting-point
hi @BarTech i am trying to follow your guide. I am using Mac with M1 processor and after creating usb, i cannot see any EFI partitions available to mount. Can you support anyhow?
The EFI partition is invisible until you mount it. You can mount the EFI partition using Opencore Auxiliary Tools or Opencore Configurator. Both are linked in the description.
Right-click the partition icon and select "Get Info". In the window that opens, under "Sharing and Permissions", change privilege from "Read only" to "Read & Write".

Terrific and brilliant guide! Thank you for this!
Thanks for sharing that tip on the USB hub. Got one ordered and should be here by Friday.

Hey man, you should make the back fan work as outake, it gonna make temps better as the hot air is thrown out of the case :D
Wow, impressed. Never knew it can be done
Subscribed, nice vid dude!
Thanks bro. Very interesting and detailed. I was looking for a guide for a long time. Thank you very much.
Very good , I needed a small and cheap Hackintosh for my OPNP, this goes far beyond my expectations. Thanks
Thanks. I’m wondering if some Framework laptop can be made into a Hackintosh?
@@BartechTV that’s unfortunate.
Anyway, I’ve appreciated your video for both content and editing quality. Well done!
Awesome CPU for the money 💪One thing to add, they case fan needs to be flipped the other way around
Hi, I was just wondering if you could give me a bit of guidance. I wasn't able to get the exact parts that you listed but I think I got the closest available equalivents:
I was just curious if you see anything wrong with this list, for building the hackintosh with Ventura as you've so outlined in this video:
MSI B450M-A PRO MAX (MAJ Ryzen 3XXX)
1
69€99
Intel Core i3-10105 (3.7 GHz)
1
124€99
DDR4 Kingston Fury Beast - 32 Go (2 x 16 Go) 3200 MHz - CAS 16

94€99
Crucial P3 500 Go
2 (i want to dual boot windows and mac)
75€98
Cooler Master MasterBox MB520 TG ARGB - Blanc
1
124€99
FSP Hydro M PRO 600W
1
79€99
I understand if it's too much work to verify.
Just Google "motherboard for Intel i3 10105" (you need motherboard that's supports LGA1200)
Other parts looks good to go. I would suggest to get more storage, maybe another 250g ssd, or single 1tb ssd.
Hi Avi,
The B450M motherboard you listed is only suitable for Ryzen CPU's, so it won't work with your Intel Core i3.
So, here's my list of what I would choose -
Motherboard: MSI Z490-A PRO
CPU: Intel Core i3-10105 or Intel Core i5-10400
RAM: 2 x 8GB DDR4 Kingston Fury Beast (16GB total)
SSD: 2 x WD SN750 500Gb (one for Windows and one for macOS)
If you have any more questions let me know.
Thanks man, this is really great setup my delivery is coming soon!
@@BartechTV Oh man, I totally missed that...! Thank you, I'll give that a try.
holy crap, this is incredible.

2/20: I was able to finally write to this EFI folder, I use Clover to mount the drive and copy and paste the folder. Then, I use Open core to edit the config file and other options.
Download the MacOS install disk image from Apple and write it to your USB drive using Balena Etcher (www.balena.io/etcher)
Mount the EFI partition using command line, by doing the following...
- Open command prompt
- type "diskpart"
- type "list disk" and look for your USB drive
- type "select disk x" (where x=your USB drive]
- type "list partition" and look for your EFI partition
- type "select partition x" (where x=your EFI partition)
- type "assign letter = E:" - mounts the EFI partition on your PC and assigns it the drive letter E, so you can open it, and copy your EFI folder / edit the plist etc.

Hi ,please tell me how you fix uhd 630 to have more then 7mb memory ? Thx soo much😂
I love the video,, and how easily you explained everything..
Great video, unfortunately I don’t already own a Mac and the installation process of Ventura looks a bit difficult.
Will def use this!
one thing I don't get is how one determines which kexts one will or won't need. please explain. thanks.
If you have a read of dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/ktext.html#kexts it does a decent job of explaining which kexts do what.
Not worth it. Those cases are anti consumer. Just put Linux or Unix. Buy a macbook..

Does H610M-E work?
Hi Marco,
If you're using an H610 chipset motherboard, then you'll have a 12th or 13th gen CPU.

Hey loved the build and detailed guide here planning for the similar build for a Hackintosh.

Couldn’t tell you how it would change the install process but those specs would work relatively the same
I want to do this build but if I have to constantly tinker just to get system updates I'm not sure how future proof it is? Thanks
Hi. Thanks for the great, and very informative video! I have one question, can you please tell me, can you use programs made for M1computers with this Hackintosh PC? Dose new aplications all works on both processors? Intel and M1 silicon chips?

One more question? What keyboard is that ?
Sorry on my bad English.
Hi, Mac applications are distributed as universal binaries, so they run on both Intel and ARM. Intel machines still count for more than half of the Macs in daily use so it's unlikely that a company would release programs that only run on ARM for at least a few more years.
The keyboard is a Redragon K617-RGB - you can find it on Amazon.
do things like Airdrop, sidecar etc, work out of the box?
@@BartechTV thanks so much! Also I read that GPU support is a bit flaky, my gtx 1060 being supported by high Sierra only?

Yes I am facing it.
@@akramolhoque878 me too. how to fix pls
Can you make a new chia plotting video with GPU plotter on Mac OS ? M1
NIce One however you need a Mac to start the process right ?
Give this man a medal!
Hey, great video! Would a Intel Core i5-10400F work? Is it better than the i5-10400?
The 10400f has no iGPU, so you'll need a graphics card. The 10400 will work just like the i3-10105 in this video, but about 15% faster multicore performance.
@@BartechTV Ok, thank you!
Is the process same with an i7 7700k (just select the kadylake EFI) and an rx 5700xt?
I have built several hackintosh.the current one is a 2130 h61 asus mobo and a gtc680 with catalina . I have a mac pro
can Xcode and IOS simulator run on integrated graphics iGPU ?
If you there is any updated version of the Mac. Will it be same procedure as this one?
Yes. The same.
Black screen when restart... Stuck here, any idea ?
hi @BarTech i am trying to follow your guide.
Great video. My EFI partition tells it is read only so I am not able to copy the EFI file. Any suggestion ?
Right-click the partition icon and select "Get Info". In the window that opens, under "Sharing and Permissions", change privilege from "Read only" to "Read & Write".
@@BartechTV there is only "read only"
