Except on that motion……”oh yeah loddy da…nabers is motioning across the formation I’ll Just jog behind him…. Lalala” I couldn’t believe that play but he does get in there sometimes
Nabers is like a free-style player against amateurs. He can switch the tempo of his route and also beat you with speed (4.35) 😳 His RAC ability is insane, as well as his acrobatic skills when adjusting mid-air to the ball!
@manman2991 that's a blown coverage my guy....They played a robber and dude thought he had safety...You think that's gonna happen in the NFL....bruhhhh
As much shit as Troy Franklin gets about basket catching and not being strong at the catch point, this game showed it's a big weakness for Malik as well. He alligatored quite a few in this one
He literally had 3 contested catches in this video. And you’re saying that like contested catches are a good thing. Give me a route runner over a jump ball wr any day.
most of these reps are against Downs (a safety) and Moore (a nickel/safety). The routes against Arnold and Kool Aid don't look so hot. But good game plan from LSU to line him up in the slot so much to avoid those two
He's currently unreliable in contested situations and against press; with just average size he has a long way to go to be trusted as an X. But with some pro-level seasoning of his route running to cap off his athleticism, he should be very good as a slot and Z early on.
He’s just fine in contested situations. He had multiple catches in this game lol. He had two drops but the others were on the qb not him. Bad or late balls. He can play anywhere
@@draftprospects he fine, but not elite. I agree w/ @zohraishv ....1st round prospect at WR, yes. But the train has pulled away too far at this point. He's not top 5 in the draft and this 1B to harrison stuff is for the birds.
I did not see anything "special" in this vid. And this kid is supposed to "save" a NY Giants team with a shaky O-line and two reject QB"s? No offense to Malik, because I think he is a talented kid. But the Giants do not have the O-line or QB to make the most of his talents. Ask Saquon Barkley.......
Saquon plays a totally different position than Malik, Not to mention the offensive line has improved some, and even if they didn't, this kid runs a 4.35 and gets open in a hurry, if anything Malik is going to make Daniel Jones look better, because he gets to get it out of his hands a lot faster
Alabama really shut him down. Outside of the schemed up touchdown (beating cover 2 over the middle), he was completely held in check. At 4:46 he even gave up on a route and was shocked he was thrown to. You can see the frustration at the end when he threw his helmet off. One of the things I hate to see is when prospects have their worst game against their stiffest competition. This game is a huge red flag for Nabers.
He had 10 receptions for 171 yards….. how is that held in check lmao. JD got hurt and he was frustrated dealing with the back up and losing lol. He dominated this game and could have had more yards if a few passes were thrown better
@bobbythespaceghost9934 a lot of that was against soft coverage he won't see in the NFL, wide open underneath and that blown coverage TD.....He caught ZERO contested balls
@@draftprospects he didn’t make a play on any of these contested balls. You throw these up to the class ten years ago like this, Davante Adams, Beckham, Mike Evans 10 years ago no way they’re not coming down with em all in saying. There’s a difference between explosive & dynamic. We’ll see.
What are you even talking about lmao. He caught damn near everything besides when the qb missed him completely twice when he was double covered. He’s not coming down with a ball through 3 feet away from him. He had multiple contested catches in this game. And torched them for 10 catches for 171 yards lmao. Yet apparently that’s not enough ? 🤣🤣
Nabers is really not that good....Contested balls he couldn't catch any of them....Was wide open against very soft coverages, then he had that drop, they were able to take advantage of 1 on 1 coverage throwing slot fades against safeties like they did all year, you won't get that in the NFL...The TD was a blown coverage where the safety comes down and allows Nabers to Streak free but this guy is not Elite
*Malik should’ve gotten WAY more stats in this game but there were some errant throws by Jayden.*
or if he coulda caught the ball
Arnold looked so good here.

Loved the chess match with the Alabama secondary in this game. Felt like Nabers was mostly beating them in zone coverages with his vertical speed

His tempo switching and like instant acceleration are just wild. So impressive

He actually wasn’t that great in contested coverage, he doesn’t look to be that much of a dynamjc athlete like the Giants need.. idk about this one
