    The products I have bought from DIY have all surpassed my expectations. I actually prefer using a product like quick beads for the wheels over ceramic coating because wheel weights change on wheels and they need to stick to the wheel when being rebalanced.

    Awesome video guys! Was hoping you would provide a ratio for an IK Foam Pro2 or Foam Pro 12 for the rinseless? Also hoping it'll be a little less than the 4oz in the foam cannon, because my Honda Odyssey will empty out my cannon and my 16 oz bottle of rinseless will empty out after 3 washes. I'm assuming the gallon format should ease the pain? Gotta say though that the product is really awesome and gives the other big brand names in rinseless wash some homework!!!

    Questions about towels and ceramic gloss; with other ceramic sprays I've read that the towels used to apply and spread the spray will get build up in them and need to be discarded. Tell me about this with your spray, and what do I use to launder these towels you guys sell? I know that's an issue. Are you guys making a detail towel laundry soap yet? Please do if not.
    Secondly, if I'm doing multiple washes a day, can I wring out that towel like a chamois, or should I get several towels? Thanks again for always answering questions and sharing great knowledge and work tips.

    Using a leif blower that is used around the yard or worse has a suction and blowing mode is a terrible idea. Take a look at how dirty they get and then realize how much crap you will be blasting at your cars finish. I bought a small cheap one from amazon, and use it only for my motorcycle, but will be looking to add a filter to it to prevent it from blasting partickes in the air, because we all dont have a dedicated, well lit garage to detail cars.

    I don’t understand how quick beads can be a drying lubricant? You’re rinsing it off leaving water on the surface by itself. Yes, the surface will be slicker, but it’s still not aiding in actual lubrication.

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Год назад +1

      Don’t knock it til ya try it:)
      The DIY Detail Quick Beads isn’t completely cured at that point, so it’s providing Protection to the paint, and lubrication for drying.

    lol 4 ounces = 4 car washes via foam cannon ….. uh ….. that’s a serious selling point? I’d go through the whole bottle every day and I’d still need more. Err… might want to rethink this. In my opinion, this is an absolute waste of time and product. It’s also my opinion that rinseless washing doesn’t need foam … at all. But seeing how this one does foam, I have to admit, it’s not impressive at all. Something like Meguiars Hyperwash uses 1-2 ounces and makes vastly superior suds. Based on the evidence in this video, foaming should NOT be a selling point. It doesn’t do it very well. I’m really not sure why this video exists … it kinda shoots itself in the foot.
    😊😊😊

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Год назад +3

      Haha thank you for watching and the comment. I'm sure Yvan would agree that Rinseless does NOT need foam...however, I think foam is fun. You can get some really impressive foaming action with 2-3 ounces actually, but we did use about 4 in this video. It's kinda neat in an iK foamer, too, when you don't have a hose. It can really pull a lot of gunk off the paint for you and makes the panel feel so slick when you do your contact wash. Like I said, it means a lot that you took time to watch and comment, and I appreciate your opinion! -Nick

      @@diydetailofficial I completely understand your perspective, you have my deepest apology if I threw shade where it didn’t belong. All I have to go by are these videos featuring the products and the commentary. I have not tried any of the DIY line. Based on that, it seems to me that your rinseless wash is trying to be a Jack-of-all-trades instead of being a great stand alone product. That’s just how I see it. If I’m wrong, I’ll admit it immediately but I don’t see how I can be. Uber, OnR, Absolute, etc., they don’t need suds … neither does this product. You want suds, use soap. Just saying. “fun” doesn’t make me money, “fun” shouldn’t include adding (unnecessarily) time to your detail, “fun” is subjective, obviously, but there’s commonality amongst “most” that applies here.
      I’m not that person who’s “hey great video, great product, well done” … that’s just not me. I call it how I see it, good, bad or otherwise. I think DIY Rinseless is probably a great product, I just don’t think it needs to moonlight as a soap. Get rid of the bubbles and I’d likely give it a whirl. That’s just me. What do I know? lol
      😊😊😊

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Год назад +2

      The surfactants are there to increase the cleaning capacity, not as a gimmick. The fact that it foams is a side effect. Some people love foaming , so this offers them the opportunity to do so.

    • @Reaper-Jim
      @Reaper-Jim Год назад +2

      @@diydetailofficial Seeing how we don’t know what surfactants are in the product, we can’t confirm your claims of it helping to clean. Surfactants can be detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agents, or dispersants. Regardless, these ingredients are what’s found in soap and NOT in a rinseless wash. So, in fact, it is a sort of gimmick because you’re mixing soap with rinseless wash and calling it a rinseless wash … when it’s just not that.
      Surfactants all have one thing in common, they leave residue behind no matter what. Now, considering rinseless wash’s selling point is that it doesn’t need to be rinsed off … I question the use of surfactants that foam. What kind of residue is left behind, will it build up? One of those things, just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
      When I say it’s (foam) not needed in rinseless, I mean exactly that. I mean it’s not needed, wanted or otherwise. It’s a backwards step. It’s not innovation if you’re just combining soap with rinseless wash. I mean, we can do that ourselves. But there’s reasons we don’t. They’re separate for very good reasons.

The only thing you're not doing is rinsing at the end. Here’s a video you may find interesting.
