I got the RS in late March and as a guy in my sixties who'd owned 30 bikes over the years including everything from RD350LCs, GSX-R600s, GSX-R750, R1 and 'Blades, it's the most fun bike I've owned, my last two bikes were also Street triples but this one has raised the bar even higher as the handling is sharper but still planted and the shorter gearing has really pepped up low and mid range acceleration, I didn't think it was possible to improve the previous model to such a degree but somehow Triumph have managed it. every biking journalist who's ridden it raves about it and Bike magazine called it "the best bike Triumph have ever made" and RUclips channel 44 Teeth called it "the Messiah of middleweights".
Test drove one and I agree with every comment. Not my dream bike, but so so good, like a glove, predictable, precise and exiting at the same time. Incredible Bike
I just ordered one in yellow for next spring! I made the down payment, now I can't turn back hahah I can't wait, I've heard nothing but good stuff about this bike. Coming from a ZX-6R which I loved very much.
stumbled upon your vid.. greets from an ex pat near Karlsruhe... Test drove one for my misses, found it was wow.. I own a 22 Speed Triple 1200 RS, which to be honest is overkill... I am really thinking of swapping it for the Street Triple RS..
I haven't tried the Speed Triple, but I also see no point in that much power, only time I managed to really use all of it from the Street Triple was on track. Fully support swapping out for a lighter bike if you mainly ride on the road 😄👍
I have the 2018 rs and every day it gets better. Today I switched from road to sport mode and it is very nice. I also finished Yamaha champ school core course today and that combination is really great. Very nice. Very, very nice. This cosmic yellow is gorgeous. If I ever see one used, I will pick it up.
Triumph changed the internal gearing for this model vs. the 2022 so that first is taller and 6th is shorter -- and everything else is tighter in between. Additionally, they went one tooth down in the front sprocket and 2 teeth up in the back from 2022. These changes translate into propelling you forward with more authority, as you stated Interesting note: the top gear is at 5500 rpms at 65 mph on the Street Triple whereas the lower revving and smaller Trident 660 is only at 5000 at the same speed. The Trident is no slouch but the Street Triples' lower gearing makes it super snappy and quick.
Thanks for the video! 👏🏼 You hit all the highlights of this incredible bike. 😊 At 2:35 you mentioned it’s perfect for your height. What is your height? Thanks.
@@toffcookie1234 So we're about the same height. Still thinking if I should upgrade from my 2021 Street Triple R to the new RS. The RS is more track-biased, and I'm mainly a street rider. Although I do do an occasional track day. Hmmmm... 🤔
@Vincent Lazatin I'm not sure I'd upgrade if i still had my old one, especially from the R where the only thing you gain is top end power, which is unnecessary for the road. But logic and reasoning never play much of a part in these kind of decisions to they? 😂
It's 60 lbs lighter than the BMW hence it feels powerful. Triumph has 128 hp 59 ft-lb weight 414 lbs whereas R9T is 110 hp and 85 ft-lb torque and weight 475lbs.
How tall are you? I test rode this the other day and had my heels raised when both feet were down, but I did not feel unnerving. Possibly because I was riding a Leoncino 500 scrambler where my heels were also up just above the ground too. And it is a heavier bike. I might have gotten used the not being flat footed.
About 175cm, but with relatively short legs. I can't get both feet flat at the same time, but I don't mind. It's very light and I feel stable enough, even with just one foot down.

We have had our RS for a couple months now and will be sharing a review shortly on our channel as well. Couldn’t agree more, bike is amazing.

I had a hornet 600 before that. It still tickles that screamer urge when you want it to, but with much better torque low down. Enjoy! It's a blast! 😀

I also use that 'perfect' word (a lot) when talking about my cosmic yellow RS in my videos. Get one!
Why is yellow not your colour. What colour in the selection would you choose. I think the yellow is stunning - ordered one!
Red!
I had the '21 RS in silver which I loved, but the new one in silver is way darker... the red one is 🔥

More RPM (like more happy zone 😊), more braking power (brembo stylema) and better suited to the track day (moto2). I love Cosmic Yellow 💛💛💛
How tall are you / your inseam?
@bop2864 I'm 175cm tall, inseam is 30inches or so I think. Got relatively shorts legs, but I can get my feet down no problem 👍
Have you tired the 890 duke r also?
Nah, not my cup of tea at all...

GoPro Hero 8 connected to a lapel mic with the media mod. Hope that helps 👍
