Im fbo on a 2011 535i n55 stock turbo stage 2 ecu wit a stage 3 tcu I was around 395-410 hp and u wasn’t lying bout them bottem ends 😂 hole straight through the block
i have everything done you mentioned and im running auto with xhp. between rebuild kit and tune i could have just bought a used manual transmission because im worried this tranny aint gonna hold up i haven been to dyno but this car is an animal what you think? ride it out or swap it?
Ride it out for as long as possible. Don’t dog it crazy 6hp can hold for a while. For now either save up for swap or when it’s done you can pick up another for 300$ from a part out car I have plenty friends that did that and have been fine
@@StolenE92 the manual trans im finding locally are looking like 1,500+ so all said and done with decent clutch flywheel and other parts im looking at like 3500 give or take… my trans now is only at 78k wish i could just find a cheap totaled n55 smh
@@vdubskiee5356 your fine bro. If it gets to the point just replace the solenoids and clutches in the 6hp and also look for 335s trans they are slept on can hold a lot of torque it’s called 6hp28 or an 8hp out a f chassis too

only defect which is annoying is they dont tell you if when you go to pull them to replace your sparkplugs they can break so easy and you should use dialectric grease
Bro I disagree with you on n55 platforms being uncommon for high power there are literally just as many mods as for an n55 as an n54 as well as high power numbers on a stock block as an n54 for an n55 Stock block- N55 -575whp/575wtq safely Stock block- N54- 600whp/600wtq Shouldn’t go past those numbers but I’m sure both cars would be at risk at that point haha stock that is I have xHP stage 3 stock tranny and I’m pushing about 500whp and is holding pretty well no issues yet luckily haha Real numbers equal real facts and RUclips will show numbers in comparison being very similar even the 0 to 60 times are very close although n54 pulls more aggressively they both reach the finish line the same time In fact literally my n55 is actually faster than my n54 was same full bolt on meth injection and custom tune just n54 pulls harder and n55 is more smooth power
Nah man there is a lot of mods yes that they both have platforms for but when it comes to big turbo the aftermarket support isn’t a lot , for example n54 can use solely MHD for its custom tuning purposes n55 doesn’t have the same support and you gotta use a jb4 backend tune as well , and we can’t get anti lag without a wott box as well

N55 e series ran from 2011-2013 and there’s 2 version one with a n54 fueling and one with F30 fueling that can just run DI and doesn’t need port
