- Persona is just a franchise that has my interest at the moment I guess lol, the fact that I ended up playing it was enough but I had the urge to do an ost reaction for it due to how much praise these games get for their soundtracks.

Yeah not gonna lie after this ost reaction I don’t know what else to recommend besides p5 osts or anime osts which sadly wont happen because of Damm copyright

I agree that sometimes the Kotone Defenders are just waayy too much, but I think the Kotone Haters are just worse.
Also I dunno why people keep saying Kotone isn't canon. There's nothing pointing to her being non-canon and Persona already had alternative universes since Persona 1
I can only think of 3 games that made me actually cry: Mother 3, Final Fantasy XV, and Persona 3 Reload. Final Fantasy X was close. P3R absolutely wrecked me. I played Portable and FES beforehand, but the remake hit so much harder, especially with all the added stuff specifically added to emotionally attack us veterans.

Can't help but notice that an alarming amount of people (especially on Twitter) that say shit like "If you didn't like the Answer, you are media illiterate" did not play the Answer and likely just watched the cutscenes on RUclips. By themselves, the cutscenes are fine because that is where a majority of the character development/plot is contained in the original game. You lose a tiny amount of context through other dialogue outside of them, but it's largely negligible overall. The problems exist mostly outside of those though. At the time, The Answer likely suffered from a less than amazing translation dialogue-wise and often confusing voice direction from the get go (Remember that P3 literally saved Atlus from outright bankruptcy, you don't splurge on a Western release if it looks like you're going out of business soon).
Willing to bet that a lot of people will say that Episode Aegis is great for having features that weren't in the original. The Answer is 85% tedious dungeon crawling where you can't control your party members, can't change the difficulty (locked to Hard), have to start your compendium from scratch, majority of bosses have one weakness but also have the Evade skill for that element so you're likely going to go an entire round not hitting for weakness. There are no linked episodes, no OP characteristics and less voiced cutscenes. Imagine an entire game that is just the endgame section of P5/Royal where you have to blast through the remainder of Mementos, the only good part is that you get slightly better music to listen to while you do it. I WANT Episode Aegis to be better in every single way and it likely will be, but only because the original is a tough slog to get through for a majority of people who actually played it, and not because some Redditor said that not enjoying it proved I couldn't understand it.
Seems like you didn't play The Answer either cause it doesn't have a Compendium. It's not "locked to Hard" either cause Hard difficulty only affects Compendium prices in P3FES so there was no reason to have different difficulties.
@@leafymeat8829 Damn dude reading comprehension ain't your strong suite is it? Episode Aigis allows you to transfer across your Compendium from your main story save, a feature you don't have access to in The Answer where you just have Orpheus from the start. I booted up The Answer just now and you cannot change the difficulty level at all and a simple Google search would have told you that The Answer has the damage taken/received multipliers at parity with Hard mode.

@@Fredgeorge10 Like I said, there are no difficulty levels because there was no reason for one. Not like I expect you to be able to read. A quick google search doesn't matter if the top result lies to you, so let's check it right now quick and easy. If you truly have The Answer that easy access right now then you should know that every Persona game displays the difficulty on the save menu, so go ahead and check what difficulty it is and tell me cause I can tell you right now that it's not going to say Hard.

The first one isn't meant to be good or epic, it's meant to be unsettling or intimidating, due to the nature of the oponent
And the dancing games, there's a story line for the persona 4 one, but it's nothing special, people play the games cause it's rythm games and the choreography has a lot of meaning regarding the character dancing, or how they interact with their dancing partners like akechi dancing is a whole story line in the dance itself and having joker as a partner adds a layer
Pretty sure people call aigis toaster girl because her outfit in the answer/episode made it so aigis had a big horizontal line on her forehead that resembled a toaster

I'm near the end of persona 2 Eternal Punishment and it is crazy good, the P2 duology has the best story , P1 is ok but if you're not really into it P1 can be a bit rough to play ,the characters are good
