Thanks this the best way I have ever seen.
I crochet them together with a slip stitch through the back loops, no extra bulk. The front loops lineup perfectly in front. Voila!!🎉

How does the bottom look? Is it the same?
I show the back in the full tutorial. If you want to see it. There’s a slight ridge and you can kind of see tiny stitches but not very noticeable.
But crocheted pieces stretch (specially with use) and that stitch has no room for stretching creating a stiff seam.
I’ve never had a problem with it and I’ve used it for bags, cardigans etc. I supposed it depends on how stretchy your yarn is 🤷♀️
