Did u see the Tucker/Putin interview? I'd really like the live roundtable for that. Please invite your old CSM.
This dude Brent is the definition of no words, all action. Most dudes on youtube just bump their gums but never get dirt under their nails. U can't do nothing but respect a man who doesn't jst talk the talk but walks the walk.
Appreciate you brother.
SGM Brent Downing - THANK YOU!
The One Shepherd Regiment is thrilled to inaugurate Charlie Company's Jungle School at the Florida Sheriff Youth Camp in Pierson, Florida over the week of Sun-Sat, 10-16 March 2024. This is One Shepherd's 43rd year of service, and we're still breaking new ground. To every Warrior heart reading this - Join us! Be a plank holder on the Jungle School tradition.
👊
Everyone, Its a truly amazing experience. Timing to this point has only allowed me the initial two day course but the stars alligned and will be doing the full week this spring. Being older and non-military there was a bit of apprehension but the staff and returning students were eager to help. Any interest in military history or small unit action give it a go!
If I wasn't going through a divorce I would totally go! I'm hoping fall course or next year! I've been wanting ti go for years!
Awesomeness
👊
I've taken several training classes from different instructors including a Simunition force on force class, and non of them compare to the amount of knowledge you gain from 1S and especially for the money. 1shepherd is a week long non stop learning experience. You learn leadership, teamwork, small unit tactics, field craft, and i could go on. The instructors are highly qualified and passionate. There is nowhere else in the world like this available to civilians.
Awesome!! I'll be at a couple this year for sure, see you fuckos out there! 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
This is where I came from, where I first cut my teeth, this place made me, and I can’t wait to be able to come back one day. Until then, FOLLOW ME
Do us proud with the Corps, brother.
All American patriots, You owe it to yourselves to get better training. The flat range fanatics will only get you so far. At One Shepherd, you'll learn valuable lessons and you'll come away more confident in yourself because you will be tested. The punching bag doesn't punch back, at One Shepherd you're up against a living breathing enemy with a mind of their own and they will punch back. If you don't use cover, the enemy will notice, if your plan sucks the enemy will exploit it. If your leadership sucks, your teamwork will fall apart. If you didn't pack your gear right, the environment will make you pay. No other school can give you that experience.
Well said brother.
Looking forward to my 2nd semester at B Co. "Mountain Co." But tigerstripe at C Co? I'll need to head down there for a semester then!
I have seen several of your videos from One Shepherd and I have to agree that it is the only really good viable military training available to Citizens that I have seen
Holy shit, yall got a fucking chopper
Some of the best experience you can gain in SUT is available at 1S. Can’t wait to return to A Co.
As a veteran I hope they do not out law this type of fun entertainment like they have done in VT. It was a sad day for the republic.
Man, some of those riffs were distractingly tasty. Great to see One Shepard get some more exposure! :)
Get there! I will be at Alpha Spring Semester. This is my 5th semester training with 1S and I cant recommend it enough!
Here’s a comment to boost the algorithm!
+1
👊
Performance Enhanced
Brent needs to triplicate himself so he can be at all three One Shepherd locations.
Ha! I agree.
I really wish I could attend all. I have two different careers that run concurrently and on top of that several different RUclips related annual events I partake in year round Ex: One Shepherd, S&S Winter forge, SERE challenge, etc.). I only have so much vacation and I can only leave my wife stuck with the kids for a full week so many times.
@@Brent0331 Haha! I get that feeling all too well brother! Finding time may be difficult, but being there is an experience worth any trouble it took.
I’ll be at C Coy. Just the excuse I needed to buy more gear. But seriously this is my third semester. It’s great training with a diverse group of people. Instruction is excellent and you will soon find out what works in your kit and what doesn’t. Not to mention you will get a work out and the motivation to get fitter
Hell yeah
Dang, it's like stepping back into the 90's. What a great feel
Good stuff!!!
Hey now😎 If Charlie Company is Going to be standing up Down here In Florida, I'll definitely be making my way by there.
👊
I've been wanting to go to one Shepard for a few years now ever since I saw your videos on it, hopefully I'll have the time and the money too soon since I turn 17 in a few days

@@christopherlarsen7788 how much is the discounted price?
What Chris said.
This is a fine Community of Warrior-Leaders.
You will not be disappointed
@@christopherlarsen7788how much is the discounted price? If its still fairly high I might wait till the summer semesters come around but I do want to try and make it in spring.
Highly Recommend.
Thanks for the shout out, Brent! Hope to see you at the new BCO Mountain Warfare training grounds soon!
Bravo Company stands for "BBBRRRrrr..." The Bravo Company Mountain Warfare facility in the Appalachians of West Virginia is stunningly beautiful. Excellent training.
First, good to see you posting brother Semper Fi
Just my luck, they offer classes in Florida same time my unit is scheduled for a FTX out of state :(
They will be standing Charlie Company up in the Fall. The projected dates are October 27 to November 2. Hope you're able to make it, it's definitely worth the time and effort.
@@OhioYankee I’m really hoping I can. Been wanting to go to One Shepherd for years. Now I’ve just gotta get OD gear 😭 all my stuff is multicam because that’s what I use in the army
The closest you will ever get to seeing combat without serving in the military or until the chicoms start dropping from the sky!!
Wery impressive, I'd like to visit
I hope to attend this fall. I'm not going down south in summer. I'll die.
March in FL shouldn't be bad. Good chance the cottonmouths and rattlers will be slow lol.
@@robertbates6057 I'm from Michigan....
November hot af too I hope to make it in November too "mosquito netting needed"😂
I think Brent could defend Texas, ALL BY HIMSELF 💪💪👏👏 we’ll call him Brambo!
Most definitely could not. People can go to One Shepherd and get a slice of humble pie real quick the first time they get killed in Force on force training. First thing you learn in the FTX is you're not as good as you think you are.
Missing your current events discussions. Always informative.
Taking a break, well be back eventually.
Wow, they upped their game to include air assets now? Awesome!
Alpha Company in Missouri is the Air Assault Company
Bravo Company in West Virginia is the Mountain School
Charlie Company in Florida is the Jungle School
@@christopherlarsen7788 I'm flanked by Alpha and Bravo, I'm in Kentucky now.
I once had a lengthy email exchange with you back around 2019, you seem like a really squared away troop with a really squared away program and IMO anyone wanting actual military grade combat arms training has one option. And that's One Sheppherd. One of these days I'd love to get out there to you guys and film some of your field problems for my youtube channel.
How many hueys is OS operating?
@@christopherlarsen7788 u should do one out here in California as the Fairy Company. 😃🤣😂😄😅 jk Doc.....jst a lil liberal humor.

Dude so cool , that is awesome.
I'm looking forward to the new videos. Thank you Brent and colleagues :)
Thanks Brent !!
Thank you for posting about this. I've been wanting to find an event like this for a long time.
👊
@@Brent0331Any chance you'll be attending the Missouri Alpha Company course?
Pretty awesome 😊
I need to find a group like this right now.....not easy to find real fighters to train with right now.
Alpha Company in Ulman, Missouri - Air Assault Company
Bravo Company in Moorefield, West Virginia - Mountain School
Charlie Company in Pierson, Florida - Jungle School
You have several to choose from! Three semesters each spring. Three semesters each fall.
I really want to give it a try one of these days
Why wait?
I really wish you guys would come to Colorado. We have a pretty interesting landscape and the cold can be aggressive in some regions
Eventually it very well may, 1S has expanded by the creation of 2 additional company's since I first started going in 2017. But I hear this type of statement a lot (1S needs to come here, there, what ever the case may be). All I can say is if anyone is waiting on 1S to come to their home town, don't hold your breath and its their loss. If folks want good training, they need to get out of their comfort zone and travel to put themselves in new environments with new challenges, against unfamiliar opponents. 1S has been a fantastic experience for me and has even provided me with some training that was far better then a lot of the training I've done as a grunt in the Marine Corps over two decades of service.
@@Brent0331 absolutely understood
One shep has helicopters? If so is that only Alpha Company?
Yes, just Alpha Company...at least for now. And no, One Shepherd doesn't own any helicopters. However, the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation in St. Louis maintains three UH-1H Huey, two AH-1 Cobra Gunships, and one OH-58 Kiowa. They provide direct support for Alpha Company's Air Assault missions.
YES finally a florida location! not in the finances to go this semester but hope to make the next one!
Are you in Florida
@@waterboy239of course! im a certified swamp creature straight from the glades :)
@@GreasinFromHNG 🤣🤣
I hope they incorporate antidrone tactics
Huh. Funny you should ask... (Psst! It's in the works. Shhh.)
Dude this looks like the army
Do students get to do that air assault insertion training?
At Alpha Company in Missouri? Of course!
Well...that is when we can lay on the Air Assault assets from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation in St. Louis. But yes. Definitely. Our "students" - we call them Warriors - most definitely conduct Air Assault missions.
now, is this like full of "almost enlisted rambos" or people who actually want to make a difference?
It’s full of both vets and civilians
It's the kind of people who will larp around in $10k worth of gear waiting for "Chinese paratroopers" to decend from the sky all while their state is ACTUALLY being invaded by Mexicans as they train for an invasion.
Honestly? "All of the Above - and More." We're the war nerds. Warrior-Scholars.
One Shepherd learning philosophy is - all of the fun shit, none of the dumb shit. This is our 43rd year of service. And here's the really curious thing that almost everyone forgets...the One Shepherd Regiment IS NOT a tactics school! We're a leadership development school. One Shepherd is a nonprofit all-volunteer educational program with federal recognition as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
It just so happens that we need to embed our leaders in some type of realistic, authentic simulation in order to create opportunities for command leadership. Well, since Soldiers and Marines dominate the staff and instructor pool, we just reached back and severely plagiarized OCS and NCO schools - with lots of SOI and even a smidgeon of RANGER School thrown in for good measure. Yeah?
Join us. Our Warrior Leader Program requires six semesters (7-days per week for a total of 42 days) to complete. Most Warriors attend just one or two semesters per year, but you can attend all six semesters in a single year, if you have the open schedule! There are three semesters each spring, and another three in the fall.
Alpha Company in Missouri is the Air Assault Company.
Bravo Company in West Virginia is the Mountain School.
Charlie Company in Florida is the Jungle School.
I think the national guard should utilize this company more. It would be a vary useful to the guard.
At one point A Co was working with a Marine ROTC I believe. There's old video on it somewhere on RUclips.
@@Brent0331 Rightfully so this course is definitely a huge benefit. I will definitely be taking one of these courses before I go to ranger school.
Was really hoping they would have done the Florida one this year but I'll be ready to travel next semester hopefully, edited will be there
Where are you getting smokes from?
The Regiment (nonprofit leadership school) orders through approved vendors. Sometimes this takes serious jumping through legal hoops - depending on political whims and BATFE interpretations of those whims. But, some of our Warriors also seem to source their own. It's certainly not necessary. But they do, and that's always welcome.
Your bed roll was ultimate IR protection as long as you don't let it touch your body

Brent........ I think your course should be taught in middle school. You can really do a lot return of investment on the American society. God Speed.
Well, almost. One Shepherd will accept Warriors as young as 14 years old, but no younger. Any younger than that, and we believe they should be training exclusively with their family. (But - still training!)
@@christopherlarsen7788 indeed.

The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (501c3) from the St. Louis Missouri chapter maintains three UH-1H Hueys, two AH-1 Cobra Gunships, and one OH-58 Kiowa. They support the One Shepherd Regiment (501c3) in our school's Air Assault missions.
Do I have to wear that pack or can I just go in like naked snake
This is the Chitt good !! ☝️👍💥✊🇺🇸💯🙏
where can you get ACU cut m81 woodland or od green? the only ACU cut i can find is ocp or ucp
Tru-spec or Propper brand.
Tru-Spec Tactical Response Uniform (TRU) and Propper Tactical Uniform (Tac-U) are ACU. Both Tru-Spec and Propper sell their version of the ACU in many camouflage patterns, including Woodland and solid OD Green.
As the others have said. Tru spec or Propper. I own loads of tru-spec stuff and the TRU pants are the best ever. The ACU cut top is pretty abysmal, but its the army's fault. Not tru-spec. The mandarin collar, and the ALL VELCRO EVERYTHING leaves a lot to be desired.
badass channel dude
As much as I would enjoy it, my wife would kick me in the goodies if I burned one of my precious vacation weeks to go play army.
Fully understood, and appreciated. But...sometimes you have to do things for yourself, brother. None of us "old Warriors" are getting any younger. Right? That's something you don't want to regret. - My 02 cents.
I might be a lot closer to “old” than I am to “warrior” these days. But I do appreciate the sentiment, Doc.
Get rid of the wife. You're young enough to start over😂...and the way the country's going, we'll be needing these skills sooner than you think, whether she likes it or not.
@@christopherlarsen7788got that right
Dang B, youre instructing now there too. 👏
I have been for several years now.
I need to get up there to C Co so I can rock those Tigers!
All the old instructors left!?
M81 woodland IS the camo every single American citizen should own because in my opinion it's the universal militia/minuteman uniform to seperate us from the feds/military in a time of conflict on american soil.
A lot of people feel that way.
On the other hand, Russians and Ukrainians figured it out while wearing Multicam.
Otherwise, Carhartts and Dickies are options.
@@woodsghost9088 wearing bright colored arm bands isnt a solution
@@recon1986 I'll say it's not my PREFERRED solution. For sure.
And if I had to guess, I bet there are time and places the Ukrainians or Russians take the band's off. Just a hunch.
Yeah your not that intelligent. The color black is not IR compliant under night vision nor is it found in nature!
@@johnl-cz2qg This is such a correct comment. Youre so smart. This is why the US army adopted UCP, it doesnt have black! Unlike those marines in marpat, we all know UCP is the BEST camo pattern out there
Why do you need small unit tactics training if you are not in an army? What could you possibly need that skill for outside of an army? How would you even get access to a helicopter outside of the army?
I believe you are attempting to bait an ideologic argument. If so, these are fruitless. I say there is a God - you say there isn't. Neither of us budges from our faith. But if you are sincere, I will try to answer your question.
“Why learn small unit tactics?” Because tactics is the study of leadership, philosophy, mathematics, and history.
“Why learn leadership?” The study of leadership empowers managers to create vision, transform their organization, and engage the entire team - inspiring and aligning all the individuals of the team toward a common effort.
“Why learn philosophy?” The study of philosophy empowers leaders to assimilate unfamiliar ideas and assess information on a wide variety of topics.
“Why learn mathematics?” The study of math enables critical thinking, analytics, and logical reasoning to understand the problem and apply solutions.
“Why learn history?” The study of history develops empathy for culture, concepts, and traditions as meaningful solutions to specific problems and times.
But then...we could ask why learn anything? Why learn equestrian sports if horses are no longer society's means of transportation. The car, plane, train, and ship overtook animal-driven transportation a century ago. So, does learning the joy of horseback riding represent a waste of time? And even if so, why should that offend anyone?
Life. Liberty. And the pursuit of happiness. The American constitution stands alone in the world, and indeed in human history precisely because it is the only such article that guarantees our human right to pursue joy.
