As an Iraq Veteran I can tell you that is exactly how the enemy fought us. Makes it very difficult to engage attackers if they blend in with the crowd. Usually we didn't even get a chance to return fire when ambushed. Hope it never comes to that at home, but freedom is worth bleeding for!

Beware of checkpoints/ thermal systems. They can pickup weapons under clothing sometimes. The MOST important rule is to leave your phone at home. Or get a bag that blocks all signals. It will track all your movements. Same with modern vehicles with navigation etc. If your phone or vehicle is traced to 3 different skirmishes, they will be at your house.

ham radio. the cell system as it is now tracks everybody. so your life is already plotted.
if and when the cell system just might be down. if up then it will have full/real time tracking. ham radios have a very large band with to use so even for the government it would be impossible to disrupt all of it. old school tube type radios can only do cw, but can go outside the ham bands very easily. and not be effected by a emp. or detected very easily. and can work off a 9 volt battery, and a wire in the trees. just burst codes and done. then sounds. or lights. or even if a shade is open/closed. the flag at full mast up to the pulley, or down six inches.

Another issue to keep in mind is your footware. Trackers identify people by the treads on their boots. So if they take pictures of your boot pattern they can use that as circumstantial evidence against you to drag you in for "questioning". So you need to be prepared with a different set of boots for while you're on operations.

I think those of us that post on Social Media about these kinds of issues,
or who are vocal about being against the Biden Democrat Leftist aganda ( uncontrolled immigration, gun control laws, LGBT , drag queen and gender identity indoctrination in schools, anti Christian laws and persecution of Christians, and conservatives, defunding the police, and the increasingly more invasive and controlling laws)
second Amendment supporters, Christians, Trump supporters, MAGA Republicans and who buy supplies, ammo, guns etc using credit cards or online are already on some kind of a list. Maybe even MAGA republicans are on that list too.
It seems that Biden and his ilk have declaring that people, like this are a threat to the Socialist Democrat Leftist version of “democracy “ , and therefore are the enemy”
One thing to consider for a guerilla fighter, is their families. The enemy will go after them hard , questioning them hard about you and your activities and whereabouts .Even questioning kids because kids wouid be easier to get info from. The neighbors may very well turn on your family so your spouse could lose their job, your kids bullied if they go to public schools. Your family could be harmed, by the enemy , the general public who has been fed lies about you or by those tye enemy hires to do this kind of harassment and harm. Your house could be targeted and harmed, burglarized.
The enemy could also take your family , so you would try and rescue them and the enemy trap you. They could even post AI ( or real) images of your family being harmed to lure you in.
You would need ro be aware of how you could be tracked , by your phone or GPS on your vehicles.
Your friends and neighbors will be told you are a terrorist , a pedophile and any kind of slur they can invent so to convince friends and family to turn you in. You will lose your job, so no income. Your finances will take a hit with all your assets being frozen or confiscated. This wouid include any kind of gear Or equipment that you have stored at your primary home.
One guy who owns guns, has been arrested in an Eastern state, his house was raided based on the Feds tracing what he bought online. So it’s certain that the Feds can track what you buy online, and act accordingly.

I would agree with wearing civilian clothing to blend in when in environments that require it. A lot of people unconsciously use camouflage as a status symbol rather than what it should be used for. I think there should be a solid distinction pointed out that camouflaged fatigues are still vital when used appropriately, such as in the wilderness or natural areas. Concealment is key in warfare and walking around the woods in flannels is a good way to get spotted, I’d do what Risky Chrisky does and get non standard or uncommon camo of your country, such as phased out camouflages or foreign patterns.

    • @ImperiumLibertas
      @ImperiumLibertas Год назад +22

You're correct. In a non urban environment it may be necessary to dress in camo. But like all things mission drives gear and almost all missions done by a resistance force will be done in non-conspicuous clothing.
In reality the majority of targets will be infrastructure and individuals.
Why would anyone go near a target when they could easily drop an improvised boom device from a drone several miles away from the inside of their vehicle? If they do have to go near the target wouldn't it make more sense to dress in regular civilian clothing to not make yourself a target and carry concealed tools? Firearms really would only be used as a last stich effort to avoid capture.
Not saying anyone should do this but anyone who thinks that combatants will be dressed in military clothing is silly.

I think your terrain can make a difference too. If you live in a small community or have lots of property and natural terrain maybe camo might not be to bad of an idea. If you are in the city, normal plain clothes are your camo. I believe in the gray man concept. To wear nothing that has identification on it. No brands, logos, names etc. Nothing tactical like boots and 5:11 gear. This stuff is recognizable and makes it easier for them identify you. Normal clothes of neutral colors and nothing on them is what you want. Clothes that look normal in urban settings but have natural colors that will aid if you need to slip into the brush. Not to much of one color because that will silhouette you. If every article of clothing is a different natural color it is a macro camo without looking like camo.

A GI or cop can afford to drop empty magazines because Aunty Sam will just give him new ones at the taxpayers expense. As a guerrilla fighter where are you going to get new mags after you've thrown all of them on the ground during an ambush and then ran? Train how you're going to fight. @@darren1450 Hey dude, I don't want this to come across as insulting or overstepping. I mean this to hopefully be helpful, as my wife had a similar response. It's going to be a bit long; so I won't be offended if you just skip it.
I don't know if you're an "ex so and so" like myself, but if you are, this will help. If so, your wife probably is well aware of your experience and expertise. So, from your own professional experience, as well as many others with various relevant experience, feel this is likely, and preparing for it now will protect your family later.
Women often view things from a perspective of wanting to take care of their family, including protecting them; albeit, in a different way than we do. It seems my wife gave up immediately because she knew kitting up and going to work wouldn't work well for her. Producing and storing food, however, turned out to be what got her through the door of preparedness. So, she made a really good garden, which she seems to enjoy. After that, she'll mention things like a path near our "bug out" location leading to the house, and having the ability to drop the trees across it, and asked if I could take out a bridge connected to it. My 14 year old daughter had me teaching her how to shoot a G19 accurately, with this whole subject in mind, and even decided to join FFA.
Now, on holidays, they'll get me something like a pouch or whatever. My daughter recently got me a nice suture and surgical stapler kit (I was a medic as well). Point is, if you can take a less tactical/defensive violence approach, just to get her foot in the door with something she'll also enjoy doing (especially if you tell her how much you appreciate whatever it is), she'll probably slowly come around on this stuff. Though, it will mostly be in the context of you or your group doing it. So, she probably won't want to learn CQB tactics, but she'll be cool with important support tasks.
That's just my experience. I sincerely hope that approach works for you. I'm sorry that was so long. I left out a lot of detail if you can believe that. Goodluck dude.

I think something that needs to be considered is you really want to avoid fighting where you live, if at all possible. Depending on the specifics of the situation, stopping them several miles out from where you live is always better. For that, you'll generally want camo and chest rigs, LBEs, plate carriers (depending on distance to target on foot, etc etc). In that case, while carbines/rifles & ammo capacity matters, you'll want to have a good understanding (and capability) of things like EFPs.
TM 31-310, TM 31-201-1, FM 31-21, and TC 3-21.76, should be looked at as required reading, and have a real copy of each, to study, and train in what you (legally) can.
I will say, having done "very low vis" work, I agree with your perspectives here. I just discovered your channel; so maybe you covered this already. I'd like to see you explore this area further. As in, certain scenarios might call for these types of operations, and having a good understanding of how to work effectively in that environment, especially as a larger element, is something we should all be comfortable with. Basically, it's cool being the German Shepherd, but sometimes you need to be a squirrel. CQB is fun to train (and good to be capable of, understanding different theories of CQB), but don't ignore the stuff like SSE. Even things like medical aid and logistics in this environment are important, get very tricky, and are often overlooked.
    Just my opinion.

@mikedavis4851 Paranoid: 1. unjustified suspicion and mistrust of other people or their actions.
"I got into a state of paranoia about various night noises which in daylight seems utterly silly"
      2.
the unwarranted or delusional belief that one is being persecuted, harassed, or betrayed by others, occurring as part of a mental condition.
Note the words "unjustified", "unwarranted" and "delusional" in the definition. Now, if you consider both present and historical events, both in and outside of the US, you'll find the word "paranoid" doesn't even almost apply. I could write you a very long list of recent examples from within the US (which I personally doubt you're from), but that isn't exactly secret information, nor is any of it difficult to find.
So, if you're being serious and consider yourself as having at least average intelligence, it shouldn't be a problem for you. I believe "vigilant", "prepared", and "observant" are all more fitting choices.

FM 31-21 (guerrilla warfare and special forces operations), TM 31-210 (improvised munitions handbook), FM 3-05 (special operations forces), FM 3-18 (special forces operations), TC 3-21.76 (ranger handbook), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) training manual (most current edition), Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) training manual (moat current edition), Combat Life Saver (CLS) training manual (most current edition)
Some of these are in my original post, but if you get the whole manual (as some PDFs and number destinations are only a section of a larger book), there will be a lot more information. As far as the medical ones, even if you aren't a medic, I recommend studying these anyway until you have enough knowledge and skills to be very useful in the event your medic was down and you were treating casualties. As then, you'll be more than capable of assisting your medic. I hope this was helpful in some way.

I completely agree! You most definitely want to wear normal everyday clothing to blend in with everyone else and not stand out and become a target. It's funny to think that the guy dressed in full tactical/military clothes wearing knee & elbow pads, plate carrier all decked out and combat/military type boots and ballistic/non-ballistic helmets and nods attached to it is going to stand out 100% and be a walking target and not only that but people are going to want what you have. Granted, yes those items are very important along with plate carriers sporting plates inside it and the helmets can save your life but all that gear puts a big bullseye on you and if anyone of you have been in the military you'll also know that all that gear is heavy especially the helmets.... Camouflage is good and it has it's moments to be used like everything else but allot of people will be wearing this gear when it's not needed unfortunately. I also see allot of people using FDE gear and if you live in Arizona or Nevada then it could be useful but I think the majority of people use it because our military used it and they did because of their environment in Iraq and Afghanistan. I personally love FDE but if I'm going to gear up it'll be Camouflaged for where I live and not because of what our military had worn.

That's actually also some kind of camouflage. Always blend in into the environment, so camouflage must always be maintained to fit the environment. And actually using such stuff like tanks in urban areas will always backfire. They are good in open battle, but in urban areas not. Too much good locations for ambushes. And all it requires is a molotov cocktail at the right spot, not to destroy it, but disable it. And they sent you a free street barricade. Tanks have many things that don't like contact with burning liquid. Best example is the air intake for the engine, the track rollers have a layer of hard rubber, also does not like fire. And you can also temporary disable sights of driver, commander or gunner.

Considering where I live and ambush routes, it might be another hour to find a small town and another 5 to find a "city".
However, dress is contextual and situational. Your multicam might help you in the sticks to avoid detection, saying your mission or situation calls for it when your civi clothes would otherwise stick out in the the forestry or mountains. The same could be said about mucking around in your BDU's in an occupied, "peaceful" town.

Yeah well we fought a war for 20 years with nothing to show for it specifically because of things like this

If you are in the city, you need to dress like everyone else in order not to stand out and if you are in the woods you need to dress like the woods in order not to stand out. It is common sense. The last thing you want to do when you face overwhelming force is to stand out and scream shot me. You cloth yourself appropriately according to the environment you are planning to be in.

It's honestly a shame that high threat concealment is gone, because wearing one of their belts, along with a crye lvs would be pretty good for a guerilla loadout. Easily concealable beneath a plaid shirt, or a softshell jacket.

Yes, we do get to pick the day. We choose to fight, but the enemy has a vote in that too.. example if we choose to fight on Saturday Monday through Friday, they can kick in our doors going to house with dogs looking for supplies, etc. they can use satellites synthetic aperture radar, to locate weapons cachets. areas just by the disturbance of the dirt . The only time we’d have a chance to really operate would be during bad weather like storms. it is not as simple as you think.

Good valid points. My uniform of the day is levis, t-shirt, flannel or denim jacket if needed during winter. Can get away with camo during hunt season, but still wouldn't if shtf foreign or domestic has happened.

I always thought guerrilla war fighters were like the Vietnamese. Light, quiet, fast and nimble. All the battle rattle you carry can be a hinderance as it’s almost impossible to keep up with them.

yeah, fast hit and run. no ones gonna go toe to toe with the US military in a prolonged firefight, they WILL win. but you can take out a vehicle or two and some dismounted troops and get outta there before any air support show up to finish you off.
