- Bob Newhart (1929-2024) spent over 60 years entertaining the masses. From his comedy albums that earned him three Grammy wins to Emmys for his critically acclaimed sitcoms, Newhart's deadpan delivery and sharp wit made him an unforgettable household name. He is considered to be one of the greatest minds in comedy history. Bob’s first album, THE BUTTON DOWN MIND OF BOB NEWHART (1960) shot to the #1 spot on Billboard Records and stayed there for 14 weeks. Thirty years later in 1992, Bob wanted to record a live special mirroring the classic material on the album. Thirty years after that in 2020, the digital audio album titled BOB NEWHART: OFF THE RECORD was released worldwide with a vinyl release in 2021. Among his many television appearances was a guest spot on Laugh-In. Thank you for the many years of laughs, Bob!
Hosted by Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, this groundbreaking sketch comedy show was a fast-moving barrage of jokes, one-liners, running skits, and musical numbers. The groundbreaking, Emmy Award-winning show, created by George Schlatter, premiered in January, 1968 and ran until March, 1973.
A group of regulars including Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Jo Anne Worley, Ruth Buzzi, Arte Johnson, Henry Gibson, Judy Carne, Alan Sues, Chelsea Brown, and Gary Owens--plus frequent guests like Barbara Feldon, Flip Wilson and Don Rickles left a lasting impression on America.
Celebrities from tv, film, sports, and politics all made appearances on Laugh-In. Memorable appearances include Michael Caine, Carol Burnett, Johnny Carson, Carol Channing, Wilt Chamberlain, Cher, Tim Conway, Bobby Darin, Sammy Davis Jr., Hugh Hefner, Richard M. Nixon, Debbie Reynolds, Don Rickles, Peter Sellers, Dinah Shore, Ringo Starr, and so many more.

Who's the (Pretty) Lady with him that Suffered Thru his Dumb Joke?. 🫶🧸
The (Pretty (and talented)) Lady is Barbara Sharma. (Born September 14th, 1938 (or 1943 (or 1942) according to her IMDB mini-bio).) She did a lot of tap dancing skits as well as the singing, dancing and slapstick that every member did. She was on the show as a regular from 1970-1972. As of July 2024, I could not find any mention of her passing away.
