Laugh In was a very special show, full of laughs at current topics, but never mean or hateful. It was an incredible recap of events without being tasteless or cruel. I loved it, and I still miss it . It’s so great to see those talented people again!

I loved Laugh-In. It spoke to a lot of issues at the time and was also funny and silly and "political correctness" was not a thing. Everyone was fair game but it wasn't hateful and divisive. A lot of people got their start there (Goldie Hawn for one). It was good to be able to laugh during those times.

Ruth Buzzi, Goldie Hawn, Joanne Worley, and also Lily Tomlin are still alive. The saddest thing is Ruth Buzzi as been suffering from a stroke.

Right. And "Laugh-In" , each show wasn't often recorded live in it's entirety nor before a live audience. Canned laughter was inserted. All similar skits were recorded one after the other and could be spread out over the entire season. Skits like news or other time-relevant skits were recorded when the events being referred to were semi-current were recorded at that time. The studio may have only the cast members in those skits present.
Here's an extra. They would regularly present awards like the "Fickle Finger of Fate" award and there was only one prop, which was never actually given to the recipient. It was on display in a case at NBC for many years, if not still there.

I was in my early teens when Laugh-In was on broadcast tv. Although I enjoyed it, I couldn't fully appreciate the talent and production value that went into it. And we only had a black and white tv.

OMFSM WTF?! Laugh-In predicted, TO THE YEAR, the fall of the Berlin Wall! Okay, yeah, they made a joke about it after the fact *BUT THEY GOT IT RIGHT!* Well done! I gotta look up now if any of the writers went on to write for The Simpsons!
