Adrian Rios lived in the apartment and said the suspect, who is a friend of his brother, ran into their apartment after crashing the SUV on the 710 Freeway. He said it was a scary situation for his family and neighbors. "He does come here very often," said Rios. "It was easy for him to come here because he knows my brother ... The door was open and my siblings were here." Rios said he was working at the time and tried to rush home when he heard about the chase and subsequent standoff. Police apprehended the suspect at around 10:55 p.m. about three hours after the pursuit started.
