wondering how many each year end up fatalities
@@ImprovmanZeroi watch them & haven't heard of any yet. Yes, sometimes the riders get injured, but it doesn't matter, either way it's the fault of the motorcycle rider. No one made them do what they did. The rider caused it, not law enforcement.
Now there was a fatal motorcycle accident involving a Arkansas state trooper, but the motorcycle pulled out in front of the trooper who was in pursuit of a car, so even then it's the fault of the motorcycle!!
@@timothygeiger8271 You can't say that a pit is always the fault of someone other than the trooper performing it. In fact a case of mistaken identity would make it the troopers fault with charges on top of that.
Additionally, any rider worth anything can easily avoid a pit maneuver. That doesn't mean that there are not loads of criminals on them that are useless at riding, hence the success.
Thank you CHP
It's really good to see a Cali cop take initiative like that. I wonder if his watch commander approved, or of the cop simply did that on his own.

Guess the chopper report doesn't know the difference between male and female riders in skin tight denim 🤣🤣🤣 that is definitely a female or a very skinny male that enjoys wearing women's skinny jeans
💯 a dude. (No tits.) 🤣
I’m no expert but I would say that bikers’ advantages would come from maneuverability more so than speed. The bike can change lanes and go in and out of traffic in the blink of an eye. A cop car ? Not so much. In regards to his riding attire and the temperature - he’s got a secret weapon that overtakes the cold, Adrenaline! He’s so wrapped up in the thrill of the chase and the possibility of being caught that his mind isn’t even aware of the temperature.
Don't forget stairs and small alleys, parking structures. Dude wasn't familiar with the area. The overpass was last ditch (literally) effort.
Actually, the biggest advantage a motorcycle has is acceleration. Usually a powerful engine for the mass of the vehicle, and being so small and light, compared to a car, they can out-accelerate pretty much anything there is. In the short-term, motorcycles can even out-accelerate many jet aircraft. This is also the reason police use them for traffic enforcement. They generally have a disadvantage, however, at sustained higher speeds, because they are less stable, and far too easy to lose control of. You need much faster reactions on a motorcycle than you would would in a car or truck, and must maintain the absolute highest level of situational awareness at all times. At sustained high speeds on a motorcycle you can wipe out and kill yourself before you're even aware that a hazard or obstacle exists. Maneuverability and the ability to fit into tighter spaces than most motorized vehicles is the second advantage, of course.
I think the comments about his clothing was that if he wiped out it was going to be an issue. I could be wrong, but that's what I though. I mean, it's SoCal, and I rarely wore a jacket when I lived there (didn't ride a motorbike there, though).
He's basically 160lbs of meat flying down the highway at 130mph even something like a big bug, a pothole or a mechanical issue would be the end of him. How foolish to risk you life and so many innocent people as well for what?
