@@dougronald561I was drafted in to play flute for a theatre group here in England back in '98, for a show called Pippin, I had never heard of it until then. Was a great experience, but I actually don't remember much at all because I couldn't see the stage and was just waiting for cues 😅 I have my favourite songs though, I don't know what I would do without Corner of the Sky in my life!! , So glad I can see the whole of the show here on RUclips 😄
I just realized that Leading Player wears all black and Pippin white (well it’s silver but whatever). It shows that they’re opposites, and I love the visual representation of it!
ok i just came here from your production of Legally Blonde and I'm pointing out in my mind who in this was who in Legally Blonde and I'm having the time of my life
This production is the first time that I became aware of Donald Grennon. This young man is a serious triple threat. Good actor, great voice and a superb dancer. He is surrounded by very strong leads but he is never tempted to chew up the scenery. He plays the gig. Kudos. The "WAR" shuffle is id brilliant from all three artists but I am still drawn to Donald's discipline and purity of movement. A fan? You bet.
Absolutely superb. I also saw the original Broadway and West End productions. I am so impressed with this production, you have done Fosse proud. Congratulations .
One of the BEST (if not the best HS Production) I've ever seen. Rarely does everything come together, i.e. talent, direction, enthusiasm, ORCHESTRA in one place, let alone HS. This production is amazing. I hope PaperMill is/was watching. Thank you, for this!!
@@gabriellek157 Take the compliments. But if you want to see some other quality, too, check out the Fairlawn HS production of Cabaret a few years back. Until I watched this production, it was my #1.
This was outstanding... however. just saw Gill St. Bernards production tonight ...now there's was really broadway!! Unbelievable! and the costumes were outstanding
wow you are all amazing at acting! i wish i could meet mitchell sink, he has been in several of the productions and steals the show no matter what part he plays every time. he inspires me so much and I hope to be as good at acting as he is some day.
Gorgeous production with some incredibly talented young people! I like the bits of original Fosse choreography that were preserved (especially the Manson Trio in Glory), and how well it meshed with the original staging and choreo.
High School? OMG What talent. I have seen Pippin on Broadway in 73 with the original cast, plus many other productions. All I can say is Bravo. You are up there with the best. Thanks for sharing. You should be sooooo proud.
Revisiting in 2022 Hands down the best musical production Summit have blessed us with. Fabulous SINK work and ensemble but the NARRATOR is linchpin fabulous. This is world standard
Just revisited. Wow! Faultless from every cast member. What a privelege it would have been to see it. Grennon still stands out, with Sink and the narrator. Thank you for the post
this made me cry so many times, this story was honestly exactly what i needed at this point in my life. i'm only two years out of high school but it made me so nostalgic for the musicals we put on. thank you to everyone, cast and crew, for such a wonderful production.
A really impressive production. Saw the Show once on Broadway. Also the original from the early 70s on video. But this one catches me more than ever. It's fresh and so good. So much talent by this young actors and actresses. Especially the main characters. But in the end everyone in this show deserves biggest respect.
I hope most of these kids go on to the professional stage. I was lucky enough to perform at a high level for years and I've never seen a school that turns out such great talent year on year.
Some really talented kids. Kudos to the director and choreographer. All of the behind the scenes people - wow. All of these pieces of a show have been brought together to produce a top-notch production of Pippin. Congrats to each and every one of you. Bravo!
Why Are Ok that’s your opinion but I bet every single person in Hamilton is more talented than you and they work incredibly hard, maybe you should keep your harsh opinions to yourself.
Just revisited this. STUNNING! The narrator is so on point and Mitchell delivers as always. Morning Glow remains one of the most moving songs to emerge from a musical.
This is beyond High School / College / Community Theatre. This is as good as Regional Theatre. Excellent Job. And you did it all without using a fly system (or without access to one?). Incredible.
One quick question. Do you guys rent your sets? The production quality is superb and I’ve never seen another high school production with such sets. Or do parents pitch in to build.
I'm only half way thru. This is so amazing!!!! I have tears in my eyes and goose bumps. What a wonderful production and performance by all!! The voices on you guys! How did you get so many talented students in one school? I'm saving it to watch again. Thank you for making my day!
I am just totally blown away! Took me back to my high school theatre days in small town PA. An aside story.... When the revival went upon Broadway they put out a call for a choir for the recording of "Just No Time At All". I was chosen to be a part of it. An amazing afternoon recording it it a hall on the upper east side. Stephen Schwartz was there, of course. It sounds like you used it at the end of your curtain call but, when we were almost done Mr. Schwartz was so impressed with how we did that he sat right in front of us and rewrote the ending harmonies. We recorded it and it is on the OBCR. I have always loved the theatre and have always been a part of it but never got my dream of acting on a New York stage. It took me until I turned 50 to get close. I now work in the theatre in NYC for the Shubert Org. A dream come true. But looking at this, for those of you with the dream I had, I think you will realize it much sooner than I did! Kudos. An amazing job. I will have to keep an eye out for your next production (Post covid!) and try to see it. I live not to far away from your school. And oh, you also brought tears to my eyes. That's how fantastic you all were!
Absolutely the BEST production of this musical I have EVER seen. Mitchell Fink is stunning. Brianna as the narrator brings an authority and warmth to the role that is unprecedented. Both she and Mitchell have a HUGE future ahead of them should they to choose to take this beyond school. A major WOW. I have always loved the original production with William Katt and Ben Vereen but these kids cross new boundaries. The production values are impeccable. Faultless even. Act two is difficult to pull off (dark and low key) but you guys nailed it. I have bookmarked this and will continue to revisit when I am in need of a healing happy fix. I have run shy of superlatives. I have shared this with some of my pro mates in musical theatre (Australia) and they were what like yeah whatever. At my insistence they bothered to watch. WOWS all round. Be so proud guys. Thank you again for sharing.
This show blew me away. I was involved with a local production of Pippin. We had done months of rehearsals and got the costumes and went through Tech Week and we sold the house out for opening night....and then...and then....and COVID did us in!
