Some of you have asked me for a blending tutorial and here it is together with a free brush pack for you to download.

How to install :
1. Go to any of the link above. Put in any amount and checkout.
2. You will receive an email with a Download button.
3. First you can try to click on the button in your iPad.
4. The link should bring you to the brush set. Which you can load into Procreate by clicking on 'Open in Procreate'
Troubleshooting
1. Instead of clicking on the link in your iPad, you can click the link in your computer.
2. Unzip the file if need to and save it to your iCloud or Dropbox.
3. Navigate to that file in your iPad and click open with Procreate.
You also need Procreate 4 in order to import .brushset

On gumroad.com search taozipie and find the eyelashes set and it does everything for you, it’s also free! You download it and you need to have the files app and once you have the files app and you download it as a ZIP you go to the files app and press on the ZIP to make it a folder and press then eyelashes you want and press share then scroll through your apps to the right and press open in procreate and it’ll be there for you! I just bought an iPad today just so I can use procreate for my digital art. Definitely a learning curve as I was previously using Concepts, a vector based program on windows and it didn't have anywhere near this much functionality. I'm excited to learn the program so that I can make portraits like these! 5:26 with the nose is exactly what was happening to me when I was blending the nose on my painting. The paint went everywhich way and it messed up the shape of her face. I also didn't use alpha lock so the white from the canvas decided to merge with my rich brown skin colors. I also had an issue with colors fading as soon as I tried to blend them. Even though I was going from dark to light. Idk what I was doing wrong. Again Definitely going to be learning this for a while.
is it normal for it to have color when it blends?? like it doesn’t work unless it has color..

Einin actually i figured it out just go to dynamics on brush settings and wet mix and set dilution to max

You don't have to put your credit card information in - only your name, email, etc. Any information you would put for any other newsletter, etc. The point of offering free resources/assets is for her to build her email list. She emails you a weekly Procreate tip. I've only gotten 2 emails so far and have found them incredibly helpful. One on using Alpha Lock and one on the newer Liquify feature. I wondered the same thing (about the website seeming sketchy) until I found her YT page. I didn't pay anything for a bunch of stuff I downloaded, but I'm so impressed by how much info and resources she just gives away, that I'll definitely be paying some amount next time. I'm sure that is the hope - offer free stuff and realize how awesome it is, that you are more inclined to pay for it next time (even though you don't HAVE to).

Whenever I blend my colors erase and go away, how do I fix it?
ferroa- it was mentioned in the video. Lower your brush size and don't use too many brush strokes, as little strokes as possible is preferred

I just watched the video playback of this drawing on procreate and you just painted directly over the photo reference. That seems dishonest, most people can do that.
When I use the brushes they add more color instead of smudging the colors and blending together. What am I doing wrong?

00:50-- 介绍笔刷特性
①硬(hard)、中(medium)、软笔(soft)：边缘效果和名字一样
②炭条(charcoal)：带有纹理效果。
③平头(flat)：方的，可以在画上来回画。(类似于刮刀)
④平头刷(flat brush)：和平头差不多，但会留下刷痕。转圈可以进行融合。
⑤乱画软笔(insane softy)：融合度很高，乱画就行了。
⑥擦笔(pointed)：有压感，可以像笔那样画。
02:00--讲解
我们把两块颜色的交界线分成软边和硬边，硬边适合于阴影细节和塑形，软边适合于物体颜色的细微变化和阴影内部(相信学过美术的都懂)，所以我们会用到软笔和硬笔。
首先需要确定那里是软边缘，哪里是硬边缘，以及如何控制笔刷。接下来我会进行示范，来帮助你们了解这一点。
1.笔刷大小(02:57)
(以额头为例)【软笔】在这里我把笔刷调得很小，可以看到画面上有超多痕迹，很乱，也没办法融合。如果笔刷开得过大，则会丢失所有细节。
所以我会把笔刷调到合适大小，让刷痕贴合边缘，在涂抹的同时保留细节。
刷一下就够了，效果很光滑，颜色也都能留住。
2.笔刷方向(05:00)
(以鼻子为例)【硬笔】如果颜色都融在一起会显得很平，所以需要硬边缘。
调整到合适的大小，往一个方向抹，保留另一边，这样会比你直接画自然。
3.硬边缘的位置(06:30)
(用红色画出来的都是硬边缘，脸上的可画可不画)
08:15--示范
◆从一个调子往另一个调子抹(例如中间调到高光)，不要破坏调子形状，保留下另一边。
◆确定好软硬和方向，不断调整大小。
◆过渡时，轻轻地去扫。
◆在融合亮暗面时，注意不要让一个进入另一个。
◆像脖子这样的地方可以用大笔刷放掉，眼睛这种地方需要保留更多细节。
◆用边缘柔和的笔刷稍稍提亮颧骨，再点上肌理。(其实我个人不太喜欢画这么多高光，会显油)

I downloaded the pack, but for some reason (probably my fault) I can’t get the hard and medium blends to work. They literally won’t do anything when I try to use them and I don’t know why.

You could be using the eraser tool on accident, or the layers opacity is down?
MistieePuppie yeah, it’s safe. I downloaded it to my iPad Pro and it was fine, didn’t do anything extra, if that’s what you’re worried about.

copy it to another app and then in that app it gives you the option to download in procreate

Life WithJenna like i said, it gives you an option to transfer it to another app. do that and then in that app it gives you the option to transfer it to procreate.
I downloaded your smudge pack and when I was using one of your brush called “insane softie” the brush was small even though I changed the size all the way up, but when I watched you using the brush the size was big. Can someone help me?
Maybe your canvas size is too big? I use a4 size by default

How do you get those specific blending brushes (I’m kinda new to procreate )
I have aquestion, i have recently bought an ipad and i downloaded these brushes now, however they behave like normal brushes for me, they color the painting in whatever color i pick, they dont blend or smudge. What am I doing wrong ? T.T
U need to load the smudge brushes into your smudge tool. Not the paint tool

lovely! i just cant blend pretty well without the smudge tool its just comes in so handy just as with traditional works blending out charcoal with ur fingertip ..i dont get why some artist deal with that tool as its forbidden o0 i love it and ur paintingtutorial with it is just so good!

I need some help, I got the brushes and everything but there’s no option to “open in Procreate” and if I save them in my files or anywhere else it says they’re unsupported.
Lily Jovcevski copy them to another app and then in that app it gives you the option to copy in procreate

I tried to download the pack of brushes but I don’t trust those sites because even thought it says it’s free I still don’t think it’s necessary to put in my personal info
The site is hosted by Shopify and Your address is required because it is used to cross check against the address in your credit card. Regardless of whether it’s a free or paid purchase this is a fraud prevention feature we cannot turn off in the system.
