    • @ChuckinTV
      @ChuckinTV  3 года назад +1

      We have been consistently referencing our groups from the outside diameter of the groups in a lot of our videos. At the end of the day, does it really matter? You can still clearly see how precise a round/ rifle combination works by the video.

    • @ngirardo86

      @@ChuckinTV yes it absolutely matters..you're doing it wrong and giving wrong information to people. Furthermore you're shortchanging your own rifle. Do it right or don't do it.

      @@ngirardo86 As I said, We have been very consistent. Whether you think we are doing wrong or not, we do provide a baseline for every rifle we test the same way. We're not here to hold people's hand here. There's a level of understanding that we think our audience gains from not only watching this video, but some our others as well. If it's a half inch on the outside of the group it is still an awesome group.

And clearly as dim as a dying bulb I've shot with children who can measure groups properly your a grown ass man even if it's a man who shoots with stupid Walmart special thinsulate gloves on..but all your doing for all your "viewers" is shoeing them the wrong way to do things and making them look like idiots around competent people. You have a very hard time admitting you're wrong when someone calls you out huh? That much is crystal clear. Keep up the horrible work though.

      Absolutely. At least 50 rounds to season the bore to a particular load, and .22 precision rifles like these are designed around standard velocity lead ammunition. No copper jacket or copper wash. I would be interested to see if the velocitors produce consistent groupings like the one he shot here. Stretch her out to 100 and 150 yards and see what happens then. The velocitors just might be hitting the right harmonic node. Only testing will tell.

    Great rifle, I must say maybe because of the ammo shortage but you didn't really have any great ammo to try, most was budget lined ammo, luckily the Velocitors came through, I shot mine with SK, Lapua and RWS and Eley match, the best was Eley match at .4 at 50 but the worst out of all the ammo mentioned was the RWS HP high velocity at .8, I found that they love some rounds and hate others, but most rifles are like that.

    Agreed with B&E below on testing with Eley, SK and I would also suggest Lapua CenterX. I am a big fan of Christensen and have their Ridgeline in 6.5 Creedmoor. After much work with loads, it shoots 0.17 MOA at 100 yards. That said, the Ranger has been a big disappointment. My $400 Ruger American Rimfire with a Timney Trigger ($140) shoots better, tighter groups at 50 yards.

    • @ChuckinTV
      @ChuckinTV  3 года назад

      @dgreenapple 3 года назад +1

      @@ChuckinTV Well the good news is that it's 'dead on' with the Velocitor. That's fairly rare! Normally, a high charged load that's unpredictable. Now you can confidently go squirrel, fox or rabbit hunting with Velocitor and make a clean kill. I think it's Woodchuck season in CT so it probably is where you are. Can you get that close to a Woodchuck without scaring him off? Challenge of the month!

    • @ChuckinTV
      @ChuckinTV  3 года назад

      We've had a few people mention that and we did not do that here to be honest. Garrett has sold this rifle since this video and picked up a CZ instead. Video pending there... but he had much more success with a variety of ammo on that test without fouling the barrel with each ammo before going for groups. So is there merit fouling the barrel with a certain ammo before shooting said ammo for a group? Maybe so. We have never tried it. But at the end of the day, the CZ shoots better than the Christensen. If you look at our channel, I ran a similar test with just a Ruger American 22lr and that shot almost as well as the Ranger in this video.

    Not too impressed, I have a 70 year old Remington 511 Scoremaster that will shoot 3/8 inch at 50 yards with most quality ammo....Paid $10 for it used in 1959...added a good scope years later.

    Buddy bought one today and the charging handle broke when loading the second round. The center of the already thin charging handle has a half moon cut out of it. It was at most 3/16 at the thinnest spot... The spot that takes the most tension. Trash rifle. Find the Gucci carbon barrel and put on something else. On The black stock version the stainless rings above and below the carbon barrel doesn't seem to be the quality I would expect out of the most expensive 22 I've seen.

      Trigger isn't anything special either. This is the price of the gemtech integrally suppressed barrel dudes. You can't tell me that isn't a better buy. You can even put a can on it and go two can Sam.
