Trying to collect and stack the Sovereigns here in the USA, best bang for the dollar and such great history, speaking of history, I like the old fashion sovereign scale tester
It's a nice little something to have with the collection. It does still seem to work too 👍🏼
Excellent video. Thanks!
You are welcome!
Very well explained . Peace of mind when picking up the odd coin that are good prices from different sources . Knowledge is your best friend as well.
Yeah exactly 👍🏼
I can tell by just looking at it that 1oz QB was a Welsh Dragon and not a Lion😊
🤣
@@SovereignSaurus Hi SS, I'm currently checking out PM metal testers, even seeing what and if my contacts have.
Great video!
Thanks mate
I buy 99% from big online dealers, I don't think it would be a good investment for me, but it is good to know we have ways to test it. Keeping my fingers crossed that all my stuff is real. I do some of the simple test, like Wt and Magnets, size, but nothing fancy.
Yeah I think all but the most sophisticated fakes can be picked out with a bit of experience. For the price of between 2 and 3 sovs it's not super cheap but I think it would make any future sales easier too
I don't own a Sigma, but I'd like to.
They're just a bit pricey 🧐
However, I always buy from reputable dealers 🙏
Yeah I have done fine without by buying from reputable sources and always checking coins with a dealer from any 2nd hand transactions. I have seen coins listed that didn't look right or I just wasn't sure about the seller and passed on what would have been good deals. Just not worth the risk there's plenty of opportunities to buy
@@SovereignSaurus I agree 👍
Nice concise video
👌🏽
Easy just don't buy of eBay 👍,,only reputable companies 🧐
There's plenty of dodgy looking listings there. Steer clear of the 'found in the attic' or 'tin of old coins' where there is a huge chunk of gold sticking out of the photo that isn't included 🤣 Some dealers do operate there though I would imagine considering all the fees they can sell cheaper on their own sites unless you've got some sort of eBay bonus offer
