Thank you for sharing these coins with us ; they are beautiful. Might look into getting into coin collecting myself some day. Just down the road in Huddersfield here. (Edit : just reached the end of the video and by heavens, you're not wrong - that Gothic Crown is spectacular, even in reproduction, it's a beautiful piece to have!) Dusting off my old school Latin from 50 years ago ; "May God guard these united, in the year of our lord 1847")
Thank you for watching, have you subscribed? If I can ever help you in your own Journey simply ask, as you say "you are only just down the road". On a side note, there is a Coin Show in Huddersfield the last Sunday of every month, well worth a visit
I have just over a thousand U.S. proof sets. Storage is always my biggest concern. Any good advice? I tried vacuum sealing the sets to stop moisture, but I don't really think it works as well as I would like. Lots of storage space needed, and temperature control as well. (That was my mistake for quite a few of them. Storage unit in a metal safe for a few years..)
@@greatwhitenorthcanada9600 WOW, that is some collection, you must have multiples of the same set? All that I can suggest is that you store them in a cool, Dry atmosphere, which, if you live in Canada shouldnt be a problem? Is it because of potential Toning that you are concerned? On a side note, I am looking for the "82" P, D Souvineer set if you can help?
@@LeedsLadLovesCoins I will be happy to send you a couple of 82 proof sets, but I don't have any souvieer sets. PM me your address and I'll send you a set from each mint. I will have to check to make sure both P and D minted them. Yes, lots of duplicates and 82 was very popular for duplicates.
@@greatwhitenorthcanada9600 Have you looked at my Kennedy #06 Video? If you could part with the P, D & S sets that would be unbelievable, however, I would need to send you something in return? Are you on messenger?
@@LeedsLadLovesCoins I see that you need 1996s, 1998s, 1999p, 1999d, 2001d, 2002p,and 2002d. I will check and get back to you. If there are any others, let me know. People were breaking up alot of proof sets for the Kennedy half dollars. I started collection in the late 80's and bought most from my father in law. Gifting you a few sets won't make you rich or me poor, but will make me happy knowing that I completed someones collection. Maybe a threepense or a sixpence coin in return. Last time I had either was when I visited Portsmouth in the 70's. Have them squirreled away somewhere too.
The 82 P, D & S are the hardest for me to find in the UK, however, any help would be appreciated. I will sort you out with something nice though, it will make me feel better
@@haroldmclean3755 Getting a full run of PF66 is gonna be tough, but not impossible. I have seen a Beauty of a set but they want £250 for it then average of £28 ea for Grading makes it hard to justify?
@LeedsLadLovesCoins I'm in a similar situation, Sometimes Sets can take a little longer than usual, this is where patience and some luck is needed , I have a few incomplete Sets and I won't compromise on the grades I want to obtain , My Quest continues too lol 😀 👍 Have a Great day
Now that is a family heirloom!
@@malicant123 Thank you. Still some work to be done on improving the set though
